I booked the hotel directly from its sales team. The Sr Sales Manager Mr Sharma booked it for 1 night 1 day because i want early checkin and late check out he charged me total 4000/- for this which also includes welcome drink on arrival and complementary breakfast.
But no welcome drink was served even i called the reception but they never gave it. Tata sky remained deactivated for many hours. When i asked for wifi service they sent someone to fix it but he too was not able to provide net on my mobile and T.V. Floormate outside bathroom was unavailable. For every think i called them for multiple times. Worst Room Service And An Expensive deal.

Found this place while passing by from calangute towards baga road. Looking at the bakery items thought to give it a try . croissants were yummy so as the patty .. But chicken burger was tasteless & stale. My friend ordered an English breakfast . Was not that great compared to others . Overall place is overpriced just because of the location .

This place was nice...6 years ago. Went there recently, and it was a disaster. Crowded as hell but with extremely poor service. We were given a table in good time and that was great but what followed was a true disaster. Drinks came 40 minutes late. Breakfast orders were brought to us in an incomplete manner and were also mixed up with other tables. Food was cold and the experience on the whole was quite bad. Perhaps a visit during peak hours isnt the best thing to do. The location is nice though...

This place symbolizes the adage 'If something is too good to be true, it usually is.' We had booked here for 3 nights and for 3 people they quoted a price of ~Rs. 5000, which considering the price 'was too good to be true.' So here go our travails:
1. We reached the place by 5PM and the first faced what I can classify as the rudest possible manager in the reception. It took us 30 min to get to our room and we were standing for the entire period for the reception did not have chairs.
2. Next, we were promised a proper parking place for our car and on reaching were told to park on the main road under a no parking board.
3. Then, when we finally reached our room we saw the mattress for the third person was a 'gadda' the kind used to seat people on the floor. And the icing was the bed sheet. It had a hole and when asked the room boy answered 'kya thoda sa to fata hai (What? It is only a little hole). The bed sheet in addition looked unwashed and slept in.
4. Next morning, when the person sleeping on the gadda woke up, he got a shock for struck on the bed side were chewing gums all over the place.
That was the last straw and we finally moved out after just a night. Please note that half the reviews above are for the Infanteria Cafe which is an awesome place but has no relation to this dump. Also note that there is construction going on and you will hear the ruckus all through the day. From what I understood is that the management has changed for this place in early 2013 and the new management has let the place go to dogs.

One should go to Goa to stay in villas like these. You could breathe in the heritage of the place and your eyes would never get enough of the history it promises. The property welcomes you warmly and it never promises you rosewood four posters or tiger claw bath tubs. Now that I have efficiently checked in Ferdinand Magellan into one of the pool facing villa rooms let me let you in on a few folklores.
Infantaria Comfort Inn is run by a super efficient Estonian Woman. She doesnt walk but glides all around making sure that the Infantaria Inn has a Comfort ring to it. The days she is not there just close your eyes and enjoy the neglect afterall whats life without a little bit of gay abandon.
The rooms are bare, now who wouldnt like a non cluttered basically furnished room with a lot of space.
The free breakfast is a touching gesture, but do not hesitate at all everyday to skip the gesture and try out the many jaunts just outside the building.
The swimming pool is such a cute option, picture this - On any mid super sunny morning, a safely SPFed mommy sitting under one of those beach umbrellas at the Infantaria Comfort Inn while her two little mermaids play in a super clean pool at the Infantaria just minutes away from a very hot and blistered beach.
Location Location Location and this place will have Donald Trump kissing the ground this little emerald of a gem stands on.
So here ends my tale and may i add.. we loved the place, the husband, the kids, the friend and I !!!

My husband and I stayed here at the end of the off-season in Goa (early October). We had planned to stay for at least two nights but because of the room we were allotted, we moved out after the first night (see "Room Tip"). The room was spacious but basic - it had two large single beds, TV, phone and attached bath. The bed linen, towels, etc. were clean. There was hot and cold water throughout. The service was decent and a very basic breakfast was included in the tariff - bread, jam, butter, tea/coffee. We ordered omelettes, eggs, etc. and were charged extra. We had heard from our friends who had stayed there earlier that the breakfast is amazing, and the extra stuff that we ordered did live up to its reputation. The best part of the hotel is its location - it is just minutes away from both Calangute and Baga beaches, yet very quiet and peaceful. (The exact location is in the lane opposite the Cafe Coffee Day outlet on the Baga road. Bang opposite this is another hotel - Hacienda, which is a steal if you're on a shoe-string budget. Check my review about it). The reception staff were very gossipy (they were brooding about the owner, other staff, etc.) and though we found it entertaining in the beginning, it was a pain later on and we checked out in the morning! A stay at this hotel could turn out to be very nice IF you get the right room, and especially if you're in a large group, because then you can chill at the poolside and make use of the patio. Otherwise, it's just another one of the million hotels in Goa that look like villas but are actually very deceptive!

This was our first trip to Goa and it certainly won't be our last. When we arrived at the hotel at approx 7am in the morning we received a pleasant welcome from hotel staff. Waited around half an hour to wait for our room to be made ready which was not a problem and the Kingfisher beer tasted so good even at breakfast time! Much to our disappointment we were given a room with no view of the pool and a balcony facing a generator and a wall, although we had requested an upper room with pool view at the time of booking - we did get a move to a better room with balcony and pool view a few days later. Despite this we found our room to be clean, with new air con, powerful shower that always had hot water and a good choice of satellite TV channels - not that we sat in watching the box much, there is so much to see and do here. The room is basically what you pay for and from speaking to others is typical of accommodation in Goa - the shower rooms would benefit with some grouting and touching up of tiled floor and walls but maybe we are just being picky! The plus points of the room was good security and locks on all doors, so you will certainly feel very safe staying here - they also have a security guard on night duty for added assurance but we found the area to be very safe and tourist friendly. With regards to the pool and bar area, this was always immaculate and the pool always crystal clear. The boys who work at the Hotel - Anthony, Simon, Dave, Aboo, Sigur? and the Asst Manager - Cyril were just fantastic and really helped us enjoy our stay here. We often came back at night after a meal and would spend a few hours playing cards and getting banter with the guys - they are just like a little family and they can't do enough for you! The best thing about this hotel is the location. We loved this end of Calangute going into Baga and found that a lot of the best restaraunts and bars were in this location, with CSM Lane and Tito's Lane a hundred meters either way of our hotel which is off a side street called Snake Lane locally and facing the Hacienda hotel. A short walk to Baga or Calangute beaches was a real bonus, only five mins walk and you were on the beach. We also used Cyril on numerous occasions for taxi trips (he works every 2nd day in the hotel) and cannot recommend him enough. All in all a fantastic holiday, great base and am sure all who stay here will have a fantastic time. Planning our next trip back already. Thanks also to Towerpower for the travel tips before we went :-) Must do's while you are here - day trip to Asvem Beach, Mandrem Beach, Dhusaghar Falls, Crocodile trip. Our favourite restaraunts were Fiesta, Bernards, KC's Bar, East Meets West, Shining Star Beach Shack (go for the BBQ on a Monday night). Overall food and choice of restaraunts is fantastic and standard of food is brilliant. We were not ill once. Love to all at Infantaria, we hope to be back soon.

I am posting this review on behalf of my friends who are staying at the Infantaria Comfort now for 8 weeks and stayed last year for 6 weeks.

They say as follows.....This hotel is modern and well appointed, the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff, especially the owners are very friendly and helpfull but what makes the hotel perfect for us is it's location. It is down what is known to locals and tourists alike as Snake Lane. It begins opposite the coffee bar and sunset hotel on Baga Road.
ThIs means you are only a ten minute walk to the beach via Tito's Lane and you are close to all the popular bars and restaurants of Calangute and Baga..... BUT you would never know it. Set back off the main road as it is, it is an oasis of tranquility amongst the hustle and bustle and wether you fancy an early night, a lie-in in the morning or just a day by the pool with a good book, you will be able to do so in peace and quiet.

We stayed 6 weeks last year and we have just begun an 8 week stay this year, we think that says it all.

This Cafe has gone down since the previous Captain left.
The menu looks impressive but when you start ordering a meal you realise that it is restrictive most items are not available so in the end the menu could be written on a stick on note.

"Get a room on one of the upper floors; the ground floor rooms have very little privacy, especially the one right behind the reception - we got that and our background music throughout was the reception staff gossiping! We had to turn off all lights and hide in the bathroom when we wanted to change into different clothes and our sleep was disturbed because of people who kept dropping by the reception to check in/out!"
