#20 of 358 hotels in Calangute
Travellers' Choice
The resort was stared in 1986 as one of the first beach resorts in Calangute. It is a family-run resort surrounded by lush, green gardens and situated bang on the golden, sweeping sands of Calangute beach. The hotel’s central location is walking distance from the vibrant resort of Calangute with its colourful stalls, shops and busy market road. The resort has 4 room categories – the standard ac rooms, the standard large ac rooms, the superior ac rooms and the superior garden cottages. The resort also boasts a multi cuisine beach side restaurant, serving up a good choice of international and local options that is open throughout the day for breakfast, lunch , dinner and snacks and of course for cocktails and drinks. We have sunbeds at the pool side as well the beach side, in the evenings these are replaced by chairs so that everyone can enjoy the sunset. Although the hotel is situated on the beach, most of the rooms have a wonderful view of our expansive gardens and palm trees.

We booked our rooms for June 2nd week one month prior to visit and purposely We were given corner rooms on highest floor of the building (2 nd floor) although first floor had same category rooms and resort not even occupied to 50 percent of it capacity. Daily we had to carry our babies in arms and climb up/down stairs to the room On asking for rooms on 1st floor were denied and were told to pay 1000 inr extra per night per room for room on ground Floor Now rooms. Don't know fits air-conditions like this. Please see the pic attached. Bathrooms had zero ventilation. One window that opens to outside. Which if kept open would in all types of insects and mosquitos l. And if closed zero ventilation. Standard room not worth more than 3k ₹ per nigt Room service, buffet bf was ok. Pool was clean and well maintained. Restaurant is right on beach.

Awesome place to stay if you have come to Goa for Beach and greens at the same time. Smooth check in and in my case got an early check in which i understood doesn't happen at this property. Also we wanted some closeness to beach so got the first cottage upon request. Don't expect fancy show like 5 star .. instead you get what you truly want in a beach facing property. I interacted with Maria ..and a word of caution....I think we Indians take a lot of things for granted and it doesn't go well if someone points out what is black and what is white. Same happened with me hence in a way she made me learn a lesson that open and direct conversations are always better in all scenarios. And Maria is v v pretty.

As always, Chalston does not fail to disappoint. I would however request the management to install wheelchair accessible cottages as some of the cottages are far from the dining area. Looking forward to another great experience at Chalston

Nice food in a lovely setting. The staff were excellent and very friendly. Pool was nice, clean and quiet. Was adjacent to some trees so it was nice to watch the birds and squirrels while relaxing. Would recommend as a place to stay for couples.

Really positive experience. The staff were friendly and helpful (had no troubles despite others reviews). The location is superb, right on calgunate, an easy stroll to busy baga but nicely removed from the main party strip! The hotel rooms were exceptionally clean and the resort itself is nicely laid out with pretty greenery. I enjoyed breakfast with tasty upma and poha. I also had dinner here one of the nights which was pretty good too, no complaints. Pool is a great amenity. It is a bit pricey but still good value overall. Would return, thanks!

Good location , awesome food & great people. A bit expensive I would say, at cottages & need to improve upholstery in some of the rooms. The location is unbeatable though& very clean place with warm staff. The omelettes were super nice and sitting in the restaurant with the ocean view is amazing!!

Truly well maintained beach facing property. Lovely, spacious modern rooms – we had a garden facing ground floor one. The rooms are really well maintained with immaculately clean bath/toilet. A huge restaurant cum bar is on the property serving well priced multi cuisine food. There is a huge sitting area here where one can enjoy an amazing view of Calangute beach and the sunset. There is a private access straight to the beach from here but rest assured that while chilling in this area the foliage and raised height, shields from any prying eyes. Run very professionally, with a strong customer service touch, by the D’Souza family, this gem of a place has been a true find for us. P.S. – they have just added a full deluxe section, need to check it out asap.

Super resort facing the beach. Excellent property, well maintained, good food, courteous staff and peaceful. Rooms are clean and spacious, swimming pool is very clean and the fear of COVID is also very well managed for eg, while taking the breakfast from the buffet, they ensure that each of the person is wearing mask and sanitizing their hands. Stayed here for 2 nights in deluxe room in Jan 23.
