I have travelled the globe and live in Goa-never seen a better run guest house-with lovely homely food, clean simple bright huge rooms an ,excellent location, and very attentive happy staff....the owners are super people and i wish them all the best...will be back there soon and highly recommend it to everyone who liked to visit and stay in south goa..
I had the pleasure of staying here early August at the tail end of monsoon season. I originally wanted to stay but ended up booking somewhere else which didn’t work out. So I got a taxi and headed down and it was fate! I was looked after so well by Karin, Maxi and Santosh and all their furry friends. It’s a stunning location, delicious simple home cooked meals (Karin’s prawns are to die for) and I made new friends with the team. Karin is a great listener and I was sad to leave but plan to be back. Beach is ten mins walk but minutes away on a scooter and stunning....thank you Christelle xx
The guesthouse Heaven Goa is a good place for recreation and creative work. The hostess of the hotel Karin is a beautiful woman, taking care of her guests. You will never regret if you choose this guesthouse to stay in Goa. Your accommodation in the Heaven Goa will brighten up the intelligent dog Zina and a few charming cats.
When we arrived at Heaven Goa we were welcomed very kindly. Though we did not make any reservations in advance our swiss host Karin offered us a beautiful room instantly. We loved the view over the rice fields. The room was clean and offered all necessary conveniences - mosquito net, comfortable bed and western bathroom including shower. We very much enjoyed the breakfast served with fresh tropic fruits and other delicious goodies. If you are looking for a cosy and silent place near the beach then come to Heaven Goa.
Fantastically peaceful, and very laid-back and relaxing. Good value for money at Rs2000 per night including a simple breakfast. Karin cooked a great dinner on Christmas Eve for guests from Heaven, and for some other people from the local village. The rooms are spotlessly clean, with good mosquito nets, decent open storage shelves and wardrobe, and hot water in the bathroom. We found that we didn't need the a/c in our room in December. Wifi works in the restaurant area, but not in the rooms. I see that some of the other reviews here on TripAdvisor are somewhat negative about the perceived lack of attention from Karin, the owner. However, we found that Karin simply gave us space, and was very helpful. She supplied us with everything that we needed when required. December is probably one of the busiest times to visit Goa, but the nearest beach to Heaven was still pretty peaceful - especially in comparison to the beaches 2km north and south from there.…
My wife and I completed another long stay holiday this year. January to April 2017. Prabodh and his team have done a brilliant job in providing a new kitchen and Prabodh also brought in a new chef who was excellent. Many people took their evening meal at HG and, as usual, nothing was too much bother for the team. Prabodh has been working hard to maintain and improve the restaurant facilities and I'm sure that the 2017/2018 season will be even better for the guests. Karin has provided 2 additional rooms with A/C units and I'm sure guests will appreciate this. We are looking forward to returning to HG later this year and I'm sure the very high standards that Karin expects will be maintained by Prabodh and his team.
We spent 4 very nice days in Heaven Goa. The bedroom (with AC) was comfortable, quiet, and very clean, with a good bathroom and a balcony. The swimming pool is nice to have, particularly when it's too hot to go to the beach (10 min by foot). Location is perfect. And we had dinner there every night which were very nice. The staff, mainly Rocky, was very helpful and available any time we needed. To sum up: we spent a very good journey there!
Arrived after a 16 hour train journey from Kerela. Found the reception area where we was told Karin the owner would be with us shortly. While waiting was not offered a drink. Finally Karin came and said she had been busy sorting out the rooms for her long time stayer returnee guests. And these were the only words she spoke to throughout our stay. Was not told any information about the guest house or the area. We were very pleased with our room looking out onto the nature area . The rooms are clean and plenty of space to put your things. The bathroom was clean and basic. And our truly wonderful neighbours the lovely Anna and Bruce, Who told us everything we needed to know where to eat. Supermarket exchange money etc. And the system in place at the guesthouse where you tick on the list in the bar area If you have breakfast and what drinks you have. Anna and Bruce were so welcoming. Can't thank them enough for their kindness especially when I fell and twisted my ankle. All the other guests who were returnees and long stayers were friendly. And said Karin was taking a back step in the running of the business which I can understand. But no excuse to ignore guests. The waiter/ all rounder Martin know as Ricky was fantastic . He was the one who looked after us and organised our trips and taxis and was more than helpful. He organised our boat trip with Jacks boats on the river Sal. Which was a good day out and included food and drink. A pleasant cruise across the beautiful landscape of rural Goa. We also hired cycles for the day and cycled along the beach to Salcete Majorda. There are resident pets dogs and cats we are animal lovers so not a problem to us. Loved the area Benaulim and would go again. We would stay at Heaven Goa guest house again as we managed to sort everything out. Would recommend to stay here.…
I stayed here for a few days as part of travel around Goa but many of the guests were staying more long-term. A lovely quiet place away from the tourist centre. Spotlessly clean rooms and friendly staff.
The best guesthouse of our 2 week trip to Goa. Although we only found Benaulim and Heaven Goa in the second week both completely made our holiday. We stayed in the older of the 2 buildings initially in a non-aircon room. We did move to an aircon room after a few days so if you suffer with the heat do consider this as an option. The balcony overlooks a pond and paddy field where we spend countless hours watching the local wildlife coming and going with a sunset backdrop. The rooms are basic but charming and spotlessly clean, with bedside lamps, clothes storage and new mosquito nets. The bathrooms are also basic but clean. There is a beautiful, clean pool and staff will put out sun beds for guests to use. There is an attractive covered seating area by the pool where you can get morning coffee and breakfast. We were there before the start of the season and the guesthouse was being refurbished and restaurant facilities were being built. Free wifi is available although we did struggle to get it in our room. Prabodh and the staff are incredibly welcoming, helpful and accommodating - they booked taxis and offered to arrange delivery of meals if we so wanted. The beach is only a 10 minute walk away, but the location of the guesthouse is wonderfully quiet. There are some lovely and very friendly dogs at Heaven Goa who have the roam of the property. Our stay wasn't long enough and we will be booking again when we come back to Benaulim. We can't recommend this guest house highly enough!…
