I was surprised that so few reviews I found for this place. But now I know why: everyone wants to keep in secret this small (only 7 rooms) simple but incredibly lovely guesthouse. And the owner mr. Rodriguez is very helpful and he is very kind, modest and lovely person. We just loved a big balcony which is always in a shadow. We loved the fact we had a fridge just in a hall. The owner makes his best to keep his guests comfortable. And prices are more than reasonable for such atmosphere of rustic life. We will back again.

I stayed in room 3 for a week in July. Incredibly peaceful. Geraldo, the owner, was so helpful. It was monsoon season so I appreciated the loan of the umbrella, the use and subsequent loan of a cell phone. I also had a great rate for the room. Albeit that it was out of season, the room cost me just over £2 a night. I had hot water, which is not the case in all places in India. I had a great view from my balcony looking over the rice field. It was wonderful to watch the pregnant sow meandering around the back yard. An absolute delight to see 7 piglets running around when I returned for one night in August to catch the train from Margoa to Mumbai! Stayed in room 1 this time. I would look to stay in either of these rooms again. They are at the back of the house and have the best views. Geraldo even produced a toilet roll to go with the western style toilet! There is a fridge stocked with beer, 60 rupees, and on my week stay he went and bought bottled water and it was available for 15 rupees. If you are looking for fancy, this is not the place for you. It is a quiet, friendly, relaxing, no frills budget place that is pest free. It is about a 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to town. If you need a tuk tuk, Geraldo will organize one. He helped secure a competitive taxi rate for a day trip that I took. He also found a place where I could buy a kettle, to make my own tea. The test of a place is would I return again and I did.
