Stayed with Edwin and his family for first time in maybe 15 years on our return to Benaulim and were met with the same cheery friendly welcoming smiles .
The room was spotlessly clean with a comfy bed nice bathroom ( hot water on tap ) and roomy balcony.
Room service was available every day if needed and towels toilet paper etc just an ask away as Manuel was always cleaning in the area.
Gardens are beautiful and breakfast was available in them under cover at very reasonable cost.
It will not be 15 years before we return to Benaulim or the Failaka.
Thank you for a terrific stay , and it was lovely to meet the family again. Brian and Carolyn.

I stayed here for 6 days in ac room in may'14. The room was fantastic with road view. Beach is very near to hotel..(hardly 15-20 min walking). Mr. Edwin is the best director I ever met in hotel industry. He is very helpful and kind. WOuld like to thank ROny, Pankaj, Edwin for making my stay wonderful. Will surely visit again.

I had stay 3-4 days in this hotel. This hotel is a 15 minutes walk from the Benaulim beach and is nicely located near the market where you can find daily needs, transportation, ATM, market and a two-wheeler renting place. The hotel is very clean with all facilities. Very good service - specially the breakfast. Visited there in 2012 with a bunch of people. Could see that all were having fun - expats, Indians, families, friends, couples. A very good hotel to stay in a reasonable amount.

I will definitely stay here again...

Our first trip to South Goa, but won't be our last. Quieter, more relaxed, and better value than North Goa.

Accommodation was simple, but very clean indeed. The family and their staff were among the nicest we've met anywhere in India (and we've been many times). We arrived as guests, and left as friends. Not pretentious, but you couldn't find more attentive, helpful hosts anywhere. One of the few places we would happily re-visit.

Many guests are repeat customers, returning year after year, and we can see why. We booked through Jewel in the Crown, but they take direct bookings too ([--] or [--]).

We had room 104, which was quiet, clean and comfortable. Not air-con (possible to upgrade to air-con if you wish), but an efficient (and quiet!) fan kept the room cool in the hottest weather we've ever experienced in India. The room is at the back of the hotel, and overlooks the gardens. The balcony wraps around two sides of the room, and is a great spot for birdwatching - I saw paradise flycatcher, red-whiskered bulbul, woodpeckers, and many others along with acrobatic tree squirrels.

Breakfast is basic, but you have the option of ordering extras at a very reasonable cost. Try the masala omelettes! Yummy.

Safes are available in the reception area at a reasonable price. Fairly comfortable bed - better than most in India.

Located near Maria Hall in Benaulim (everyone knows Maria Hall), it's a 15-20 minute walk to the beach, or you can take a tuk tuk very reasonably from the Maria Hall crossroads.

i stayed for 10 nights in a non-ac room in october 2013. the room had an average size and was freshly painted in cheerful colors (orange, yellow). the staff was very friendly and helpful (if i had a hotel i would try to hire the two myself). the hotel and the rooms are very clean with a frequent change of bed-sheets and towels. there was a well working flat screen tv with many english channels. breakfast was additional to pay, delicious (tomato-garlic toast) and served to the room at the made out time. as a women travelling on my own i felt very comfortable in the hotel. the hotel is just 2 steps away from maria hall and a 15 min walk from the beach. there is newly opened in-house restaurant with an ac + non ac section.

At last I've managed to find Failaka on here. We have styled here twice, both times over Christmas and new year. We love it and would highly recommend it. Great place to stay on a smaller budget. Having said that, it is very clean and well kept. You have all you want or need in this wonderful part of the world. The staff are extremely helpful and make you feel most welcome and ready to help with any questions. Doris and Hamilton the beautiful couple who run Failaka as a family business are always ready with a smile. Fabulous breakfast in the gardens surrounded by palm trees and lush vegetation. We have stayed in other places in Benaulim ( villas/ hotel), but Failaka comes out tops. We love being in Benaulim village, watching the local lady selling her fresh caught fish by Maria Hall every morning. Some people have said about Fliplies being loud, but it does not go on till late and we didn't find it annoying as was only a couple of times as was Christmas and New Year. We popped in a couple of times to see the local Kareoke, very amusing. If you are going, then enjoy and take in all the fabulousness that is South Goa.

My wife and I had six nights here and struggle to think of negatives.
Spotlessly clean, very helpful and friendly staff, short walk to the beach and exceptional value for money. Would come back and stay without a second thought.

This hotel is very well run by a wonderful family, who care for their guests needs. Nothing is too much trouble for them. It is very clean and comfortable. The hotel is near two banks, ATMs, supermarkets, transport, pharmacy, shops and several restaurants. The beach is about 18 minutes away and a peaceful one too. The hotel has a restaurant attached to it now, which is very convenient for the guests. Delicious breakfast is served here. Our previous holiday was for a month in 2010 and we returned for a further 21 days in December 2014. On both the occasions, we have had a great, enjoyable and relaxing family holiday at Failaka. The area is safe to walk late at nights. Edwin and family run this hotel very efficiently and are very kind to their guests. The staff too are very helpful and polite.
