this is a place where you will find bliss, peace. Heather Elton's Yoga teacher training is AMAZING, she is an inspiring teacher along the rest of the teachers that are part of her teacher training's. My practice and my spirit change after her training.

I was looking for a place where I can spend a few days practicing yoga and enjoying peace and nature. This place was just perfect!
I was impressed by the level of attention to detail in the place – I had everything I needed there; a clean comfortable room, 2 yoga classes a day, absolutely delicious ayurvedic meals, warm and welcoming hosts and full info on nearby tourist attractions.
For my short 5-day stay, I didn’t even want to go out much – I had it all there, including a refreshing swimming pool.
Jodi and Olaf (the owners) are lovely very knowledgeable hosts. The staff, consisting mostly of local women, are very friendly. And the pets are fun to be around. The place has a lovely family-feel to it in many aspects.
I highly recommend the place – whether you’re a yogi or not, it’s the place to be to relax– and am definitely going back there again!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days at the end of a 2-week Indian adventure. He is fairly new to yoga so was a little apprehensive about our stay at Satsanga. Within a couple of hours, he was super impressed and very happy with our choice.
Satsanga is a very relaxed retreat that runs courses with international guest teachers and daily classes with teacher, Face. The shalas are stunning! We were lucky enough to practice every morning in the Buddha shala which offers breathtaking views and the sounds of the local village as your soundtrack.
The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. Satsanga also offers 3 ayurvedic, vegetarian meals each day which were stunning. The ladies in the kitchen work hard and the results are fantastic- wholesome and tasty food!
The set up is very relaxed, friendly and welcoming, with places to read, chat, catch up on emails etc. The staff are all very sweet and we throughly enjoyed our time here. Would highly recommend to yogis or anyone looking for some low-key RnR.
Thank you Emma & Olaf, we will be back. Namaste

This retreat was one of a kind. We stayed here (2 women) for three nights after a long trip to the major cities in India. They cater mostly to yogis but is is added in the price and definitely not mandatory. The yoga I did in the morning was very good, and it was so peaceful and inviting in the room they did it. I also had a massage here, which was outstanding and a very good price as well. They are privately owned and it is a family type atmosphere. The food is outstanding, healthy and served family style around a big table. The staff is VERY helpful, and go out of their way to make your trip one to remember. They have a big "staff" of taxi drivers that can take you anywhere for virtually nothing but are polite, friendly and speak good english. We rented scooters one day we were there and had a great time scooting around Goa with the help of one of the locals all day long. The rooms are very big and updated with nets around the beds since they don't have air conditioning. I always felt safe as a woman leaving my doors and windows open all night while I slept, as the whole retreat has great security, 24/7. The animals are very friendly as well and will join you in your room as a nice, surprising "homey touch". I will definitely be back to partake in this awesome little retreat! I felt so rested when I returned home!

I recently did Heather Elton's 200 hour yoga teacher training at Satsanga retreat and was hugely impressed with the facilities and the teaching. The two yoga shalas are really beautiful - it was such a privilege to practice meditation, pranayama and do our teacher training studies in them, so inspirational. Heather has chosen a fantastic place to hold her teacher training, there are no distractions and everything is taken care of for you, so you can really focus on studying hard and getting the most out of the teaching. Goa is a mecca for yoga practitioners and so there are plenty of experts in the field available to teach all the aspects of the subject, many of whom live or work on site at Satsanga. The retreat staff looked after us so well. Mani is the ayurvedic chef who can cure all ills with her amazing sattvic diet and secret remedies. The food is always abundant and delicious. There were other groups doing teacher trainings nearby and they had to make their own way to their teaching centre, find their own food, avoid getting ill and source their own accommodation. At Satsanga we could fall out of bed into meditation and then fall back into bed as soon as we were finished with evening classes. We also had the luxury of a pool to take a refreshing dip to wake us up for afternoon classes. I cannot recommend this teacher training and this venue highly enough. The best yoga teacher training in Goa, in my humble opinion.

I joined a group tour from Japan, which was planned by a Yoga studio. The program was planned by the studio, so mainly mention the facility and service.
As it was my first trip to India, I was a little nerves, but it turned out to be such a great place. Well-decorated colorfully, so many flowers in bloom here and there... it might be because the owner is a lady from America, I really felt her good sense and hospitality. I stayed a room on the ground floor(means 1st floor), which was very clean and nice except I found a lizard one night... well, it was within my expectation. The meal was great. 3 meals everyday, you can enjoy ayurvedic vegetalian buffet, which was really nice! I am not vegetarian usually, but I never imagine vegetalian foods can be such creative and varied. I was even healthier and more energetic while I was there than in Japan...
A little bit away from city center or beaches, their contract taxi drivers will be a big help to you. They will ask what you would like to see or buy, and then will take you to the right places. Not only them, all the staffs there are very friendly and helpful. I also loved the English couple who offer nice massage & oil treatment, and the Indian lady who offer foot massage and nail-care.
I really hope I will have a chance to visit there again. A place you can find a smile like bougainvaillea.

I stayed here for a week whilst on a yoga retreat - beautiful yoga shalas, gorgeous massage available from experienced practitioners, friendly staff and surrounded by nature; flowers, dogs, trees and sunshine. The pool was an added bonus in the heat, the food was organic, local and yummy - not too spicy which was good for me. The rooms were basic but equipped with mosquito nets and a good bathroom with shower.

I spent a month here in October 2016 whilst taking my yoga teacher training. The resort is simply stunning, such a beautiful place with the friendliest, most helpful staff. The place is so well kept and looked after with real love and devotion. And the food is just divine, the best food I've ever had! I really can't think of anything negative to say, I would definitely come back!

Satsanga Retreat is an amazing place run with a yoga attitude, where everything worked as one seamless whole. I have done two, month long yoga Teacher Trainings at Satsanga, both with Heather Elton & Emile Wendel. The last one was this year Feb / March. Other than the fantastic teachers, we felt totally supported and could really concentrate on the task at hand and do what we had come to do. The staff were happy, the animals were happy, the people were happy, it was wonderful. 10 out of 10 for picking this place. Quite frankly, I would find it difficult to match this retreat, and the yoga programs it offers, with anywhere else in Goa. Shirin. Mumbai, India.
