The imposing flight of steps leading to the cool balcao and onto the foyer and lounge of this impecibally and lovingly maintained old Portuguese mansion, sets the tone of comfort and elegance at the Palacete Rodrigues. The lounge takes you back in time - furnished as it is with intricately carved polished furniture, jardinières and china wall plates. Pedestal mounted chandeliers and plants galore add to the unique charm of this delightful guest house.

Hi. I visited this place with my family in March 18. I liked the place it's a perfect stay place. We were in room no 12 on first floor. The room was big with four bed and large and clean bathroom. I stayed for 3 nights. On first day I faced AC problem but with in couple of hours they managed to resolve it. Post that no problem. The food was very good and testy. We enjoyed Goan fish curry rice. There was no much options in breakfast. The staff were very cooperative. Loved the stay. Will definitely recommend. Thanks

Stayed here over Christmas and new year. Staff are friendly and main desk staff caring and helpful. Good sized room with air con and fridge, which is essential to keep food and water fresh. Bathroom good size, shower needed adjusting but not a major issue. No loo paper! Breakfast was great if you eat Indian food but not if you don't. Bought extra supplies from local shop. Will stay here again

I had been alloted single bed room, which was very small. Toilet flush was leaking with annoying sound. There was a junkyard of hotel backside my room. And so too much mosquitos. I can't open room windows. Cockroaches are also a big headache. Entrance and embience was quite good. Swimming pool was small but maitained. Food quality was very nice. Overall so-so place to stay.

We went to Goa in the month of April 2017 and booked a hotel in very close to Anjuna Beach. Palacete Rodrigues is one the good hotel and restaurant in Goa. The management of the hotel is good and able to adopt to every customer. i would be suggest this hotel is better accommodation for bachelor and family.

I was staying in Anjuna for a week to visit my daughter nearby; she had found this hotel. It is currently in the hands of the same family for five generations now. Lovely family, and very accommodating. It has an outdoor pool and a small nearby, because you need refreshment in that heat ! I had a nice double room with a four poster bed. Be aware that power outages are very common; so make sure you travel with a torch/flashlight - as you cannot see a thing in the dark ! Wifi was disappointing - it rarely works further than the reception area; and for some unknown reason keeps getting turned off ! Not as bad as the comment from 'Museum of Dust' comments; Yes; dust is everywhere in Anjuna; What do you expect for 30 pounds per night , inc breakfast !

What a wonderful old colonial former home, now hotel. Beautiful property furnished with antiquities and old charm. Four poster beds and great service. Breakfast and kitchen on site, laundry service and a great pool with sun loungers. Worth a visit!!

This is going to be long. So ill mention the pros and cons first before delving into details. Pros : Running hot water , pool ,location, owner lady Cons : Staff ,Everything about the Rooms , Cleanliness , Voltage fluctuations,No storage space Now the details : All we (a group of 5) wanted for our three night long stay at Anjuna was a couple of clean rooms . Our problems began the moment we set foot into the building. We had already talked on the phone regarding an extra bed and had confirmed that it cost 500 rupees for a night. But the lad at the reception who barely speaks engligh and Hindi now says its 1000 rupees. Double the price!! When we did not agree to this the lady owner noticed the ruckus and came along and confirmed that it was indeed 500 rupees. So what if she hadn't intervened! About the rooms, if you're someone with dust allergy be warned : you're going to sneeze your nose off if you stay here. When they mention the place as a Portuguese bungalow , its not just the history they've preserved but also the dust that settled on everything when the Portuguese left. Room no 14 : The four poster bed , the mirror frame, the table and the cupboards are all intricate wood works. All this and a fridge was cramned into this tiny room which barely had any light. Even in broad daylight we couldnt see anything properly. The fridge and plug point in this room didnt work. One of the lights didnt work either and i had to run to the reception with each problem I found and noone cared. The cupboard was a rusty old goldrej almirah which I believe they salvaged from some scrapyard. So you can forget storing anything for your stay. The sheets were covered in so much dust that day one was a sneeze fest for me. Room no 13: This room was slightly bigger but has all the same problems that were there in room 14. The door separating the toilet and the laundry room was missing and the geyser for hot water was fitted on top of the washing machine , a good few yards away from the bathing area. Why even bother with it then!! If you need to change the temperature controls on the window ac thats located at least 8-9 feet off the ground you need to climb on the bed and change it manually. So good bye comfortable sleep. On day two we saw a couple helplessly staring at the tiny spiral staircase (that looked like it'd fall apart any moment) they had to climb to reach their so called room. Im sure they'll need a tetanus shot once they're done with the adventure. Oh and the bike renting guy whom the above mentioned lad at the reception got us in touch with started calling us at around 8:30 pm on our last day there asking when we'd be back because apparently the staff had rang him up saying one of us had gotten into an accident with the guy's bike.Jeez! We had mentioned that we'd be needing the bikes till midnight and the reception lad had shaken his head in understanding on day one . But it was on our last day that we realized that he did not know what time midnight was. Kill me now. All in all it was an unforgettable trip for all the wrong reasons. I could go on and on about the place but I'll end my rant by saying this : Book it only and only if all your other options have been taken.Good luck.

A old Portuguese bungalow as the name suggests...not so close to beach or not so close to town.......There was no parking at the property campus , but had to park only outside............Very poor response from staff except for very few.....I do not think there are any staff here who are trained or have any idea about hospitality...they are just servants working for the owner...........Its a very average place to stay ......especially in goa when you have no other go ........there is absolutely nothing which will encourage you here to even try partying.....

Property is Good but big disappointment by staff's behaviour. We had booked it for 4 days but on the very first day started feeling like we are at wrong place. Anything you ask for and you get negative reply from the staff. Then the Manager or Owner (don't know exactly) lady came to rescue us from the situation and due to her orders their staff started to work in a order but still was not happy with them and dint feel like to go every time and complain to the Saviour Lady as she was not well and was going under medical treatment.
