In the picturesque seaside village of Anjuna, Goa, where the echoes of its once-bohemian spirit still dance in the air, is Laguna Anjuna. With the graceful charm of Goan Portuguese vintage architecture, this country house resort is high on charm and romantic allure The place is fittingly named Laguna Anjuna for its lush wildly tropical garden pool, and has been likened to the enchanting opening scene of "Jungle Book". A majestic 150-year-old mango tree reigns over the always lively courtyard of the restaurant, while a historic Portuguese mansion now serves as a charming absinthe speciality bar. The quaint cottages are set in courtyards and interconnected by meandering cobblestone pathways. with carved laterite walls, terracotta tiled roofs, brick domed vaulted ceilings, Venetian plaster walls , Bauhaus era furniture, the place has an easy grace and style , and is specially suited to couples, families, small groups of friends celebrating an occasion. Its also pet friendly.

This place is a vintage paradise. Each room is constructed differently and in the most raw manner. It takes you back to the older times in Goa. It’s a perfect place to be away from the crowd and right in the heart of north. Each piece of art and furniture there is worth admiring. Mr Farrokh is warm and kind and I bet have many stories of the Goan past to share. Loved every bit of our stay at Laguna

Really enjoyed our recent stay here. We were upgraded to a larger room and we were allowed an early check in after a 24 hour journey which was invaluable. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. The pool is lovely, and also used by local children after school.which is nice. It's a little bit different from a normal hotel as it is based around the original main portugese villa. Will return Manu thanks

Laguna Anjuna is a truly unique gem of a place. We had initially planned to stay here for a couple of days as we had somewhere else booked. Yet after one day we cancelled our other booking and extended our stay at Laguna. We actually ended up extending a further two times which must have been challenging to organise on short notice, however Felix and Farrokh were so helpful and accommodating and allowed us to stay during our whole trip.

We simply loved it here from the beautiful light rooms, the architecture, the lush grounds, the staff and the pool. Words cannot describe how special Laguna is. Should you stay for 1 week + which I definitely recommend, you will also get to enjoy a reggae night on Friday, a drum circle on Monday and a Saly ball game in the pool. All adding to the distinctive heartbeat and soul of the place. We would like to extend a special thank you to Divya who was so kind and friendly and was really taken to Lucia our 11 month old. The rooms are well equipped with TV, A/C, fridge and kettle. Each room is unique In its size and layout, they are very clean and comfortable.

Thank you again to all the staff, especially Farrokh for being g a gracious and charismatic host.

This lovely resort is a far cry from the rest of Anjuna swarming with hordes of tourists. As you walk in to Laguna Anjuna, you're surrounded by lush greenery and a ginormous pool. The rooms have a rustic old world charm, complete with vintage switches, antique furniture and some very interesting paintings. We stayed in a beautiful dome shaped room with an equally unique and interesting ceiling. They also have one bedroom and two bedroom rooms nestled in hobbiton like architecture. The restaurant and bar area are completely reminiscent of Indian army buildings and messes, and was very nostalgic due to my military upbringing. Their restaurant has a very interesting menu and though we ate outside most of the time, the one dish I tried - the tuna pasta was incredible. The staff is very friendly and helpful and it was lovely meeting the owner, Mr Farrokh and having a chat with him. Another bonus about the property is that its pet friendly and if you love dogs and cats, you'll get to make a bunch of furry friends here as a bunch of them visit the resort daily to meet Monday - the resident dog at Laguna! We loved lazing by the poolside in the morning and at nights as it was quiet and peaceful. We were also lucky enough to spoke a bunch of peacocks and a bright blue kingfisher early in the morning! If you want to stay in a laid back resort away from noisy tourists in Anjuna, Laguna is your best choice! We had a wonderful stay here and totally recommend this place!

I've been going to Goa for over two decades now, and in all my years of visiting I have stayed in Laguna Anjuna almost a dozen times. I absolutely love this place and everything about it. The elements of earth, water, fire and wind combine perfectly to create this beautiful eco-friendly resort. The jungle vibe of the property is most exciting and its crown jewel is the amazing pool, surrounded by mango trees, beautiful flowers and full service bar right at its edge. The service is par excellence and the staff is extremely welcoming. They help sort you out with everything from organizing scooties and cabs to ensuring you get the most delectable food. A must try is their Steak Lunch, done in pepper sauce by their in house chef. This place has a peculiar vibe of attracting the most awesome people and I've met some amazing travelers and locals alike during my visits. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a wonderful vibe in Goa, indeed a tropical paradise.

Firstly I would like to advise the management to get a good coffee maker coz honestly the chef doesn’t even know how to make it . And they charge you like they are serving Starbucks coffee. Poorly managed property even during off season . Cleanliness is not at all noticeable . However we ignored it coz I understand it’s rainy season it gets a little messy very easily. I would also like to mention about the incident that happened to me during my stay, the worker asked me for my Instagram account handle for review and posting some pictures , as I couldn’t find him he asked me to share my number so that I he could share the link of his profile . Later he started texting very demeaning and inappropriate messages. Later deleted the texts as he did not get any reply . We have raised the complaint to the management. Hopefully he should be taking some actions . But overall would suggest you to never visit this property. You can get good resorts and service at the same price .

For Service I rate this property as 1
For Location I rate this property as 0
For Quality I rate this property as 0

A quaint resort with old world charm. The room was cozy and functional with all amenities we needed. The resort is there to explore and the staff are very friendly and warm. The food menu is limited but enough to meet all tastes. The cocktails are interesting and the beer flows !
The pool is cool and atmosphere very old world and charming. The resort is about 15 minutes walking distance from Anjuna beach - but there is a choice to walk or hire a scooter.
The proprietor Farokh is a very warm and friendly person and offers good tips on what to see and what to do, basis your preferences. The staff are non-interfering but always in the background and available when you need them.
Will surely revisit.

If you're looking to move from loud parties, flashy marble and glass balconies in Delhi and Mumbai to - more of the same in Goa, Laguna is not for you. If you're looking for lazy, quiet days, a leafy pool and unique bungalows designed by an award-winning architect, then make sure you stay at Laguna. I've been doing so since it was built and - have never regretted it to date.

Laguna Anjuna is simply awesome. We stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. It's a place full of flora and fauna.

Every morning, we were greeted by peacocks, cuckoo, crows and many other birds. It's a cool place to spend amazing time with your loved ones.

They have an amazing swimming pool which goes pretty deep at one corner. Those who love diving will love this swimming pool.

Excellent service by all the staff. Each and every one is friendly and a one Stop solution for all your vacation needs. You will not get disappointed with any of them.

Food is EXCELLENT. Food is prepared fresh as per our order. Rates are very reasonable and the taste is simply awesome. Being a vegetarian we enjoyed all dishes they made. Non vegetarians also had an excellent variety of dishes available.

They also have well equipped bar and they serve some real good cocktails. Do try their homemade Irish Cream. Trust me, you will never try Bailey's again.

Rooms are super clean and spacious. Excellent air condition, lovely antique wardrobe and amenities. Super clean and spacious bathroom with a bath tub.

Iceing on the cake is the owner of Laguna Anjuna. Farrokh Sir is super friendly and a fine gentleman. He makes sure you are super comfortable. He's an excellent host.

This time, I came with my wife. Soon will be coming with my family and extended family as well.
