We had an incredible stay at Westin Goa.. Manager Devi left no stone unturned to make our stay memorable.. westin goa offers one of the best breakfast buffet , very elaborated and there is nothing more that one can look for in a breakfast .. we even dine at Market , chef Aashish did a fabulous job .. cheese Parantha and dal makhni were mind blowing.. manager Devi took care of small little detailing that would push a Customer to keep coming back to such a property . There were candies send in our room for my 4 year old that he really cherished , she even arranged someone to keep an eye on our son during his stay in play area and meanwhile mommy daddy went to grab dinner .
Westin enjoys great location as in Titli, Antares, olives, burger factory and baba arhum everything is 5-7 minutes drive but apart from location it’s the Great services, great food, great team and spectacular hospitality that westin goa comes with .
Westin goa you made our stay memorable .
Thank you .

Really a 3.5 star review, however the staff at The Market restaurant, Yogesh, Rukuna and Preetty made me give it an extra .5 star.

Negatives first, cos it’s always good to end on a positive note. We reached quite early on the 3rd of February 2022, around 8 AM since our flight got rescheduled and departed earlier than the scheduled time. Firstly, for almost 10 minutes there was no one at the check in counter. Then, a girl and a guy showed up. The guy insisted that since we were early, we were oils have to pay an extra 3, 000 plus taxes per room. We had two rooms booked. They could have easily given us an early check in for one room complimentary and made us wait for the other room. We would even be okay with that. But I didn’t know Amy to look like someone who was taking undue advantage, so I let it go and was ready to pay. This even as I could here the lady right next to us giving the other guests she was attending to, an early check in. When I made the reservation, I had specifically called and asked for connecting rooms, however even after confirming it on call, 15 minutes into the check in process, we were told that the rooms allotted to us were in different wings and that if we wanted rooms next to each other, we would have to take a lower category room. After all this ruckus, when we refused to budge, we were given rooms that were not connecting but in the same floor, which I would have been okay to begin with if it was communicated properly to us. Even our early check in fee was revoked due to all this confusion. But here’s the thing, if you had empty rooms anyway when the customer wants to check in, why charge them extra?

Being a Marriott member and having visited the hotel previously (that made this my second visit in less than a year) this was honestly a very bad first impression and I was really questioning my choice and decision to stay in this property, considering all the other competition in the north.

However the staff at The Market Resturant were really good and went the extra mile to make us feel special. The room was also cleaned diligently twice a day and it felt so good to come back to a warm and cosy bed every time we stepped back in from Goa’s scorching heat.

Had faced some issues with the valet during my first visit, however, they were quite good and much more helpful this time around.

The vibe and location of the place is superb with all the happening places at Assagao and Vagator pretty close by. Even though the property itself isn’t massive it’s done up quite well.

Look forward to visiting soon again, however hope i have a better check in experience cos while there service is exceptional, it takes very little to turn an exceptional experience into an exceptionally sour experience, and for the sake of the service staff and my love for the marriott brand, I really wouldn’t want things to go down south for this property.

Well if I have to start with anything it must be the Staff & Team at Westin I need to commend, always on their toes, prompt and just there for you all the time.

The resort is fairly new but one could not feel any of the teething issues a new hotel generally has, they were just perfect in every thing. From the time we checked in, our room was ready and we were well greeted and proceed to our Suite immediately, little amenities were paid attention so as to one asking what kind of fruits do you like so they could refill every day...small thing but made a diff.

My daughter was on wheelchair and ones again the staff ensure utmost care was ensured each time we moved around the resort specially when we wanted to move out of the resort their concierge was really helpful n courteous in assisting.

The breakfast was the highlight of the trip, it had everything and I would add what an excellent selection n service, literally short of feeding you with their hands they did everything to ensure you had a great meal.

The bars and pool side were a fun for all of us specially our kids who were in the pool most of the time. Yes they don't have a beach access but honestly made no diff at all as most of the time we were dining n partying at restaurants n shacks close to the beach so we really did not miss that at all, in fact the rooms n over all ambience of the property made up for that fairly

Not to mention each n every one was committed to following the covid norms and made a safe environment for us n our family.

It was truly an awesome holiday in every way. Thanks n kudos to the team at Westin.

The resort is newly construed with all amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel such as a large pool, kids area, multicuisine restaurant (24 hour), 2 bars (24 hours), coffee shop but nothing special.

I visited the resort for 3 nights in October when it was fully booked out and it appeared that the hotel was understaffed and not prepared to handle the guests in such high numbers. The restaurant service was average with the staff constantly running around frantically during breakfast and dinner time and food arriving considerably late (30-45 minutes post ordering), however, to their credit the food was well prepared, which was the only respite.

The indoor bar was the worst and we had to wait for nearly 40 minutes for our cocktails with only one other table occupied in the entire bar. The food ordered at the bar was served after an hour which is unacceptable and mentioned by me even at that point, to the staff.

The positives were the poolside service and bar where the staff was courteous and prompt and the kids play room which was well construed and kids enjoyed it.

We booked a superior room which was below my expectations, based on my stay at other Westin properties, especially at the cost of INR 20,000 per night with taxes. The room did not have a balcony and the bathroom was very small. The most disappointing part was once again the room service wherein, my room was not cleaned (15th Oct) for an entire day despite the 'clean my room' switch on the entire day, which is not expected from a 5 star hotel.

The resort itself is very small compared to other 5 star resorts in Goa or in general. The only open area is the poolside with a small pond in the middle and outdoor resraurant area. I was visiting with children and friends and expected that the resort would atleast have a garden for the children to play in, however, there is no garden or lawn. The location of the resort though, is really good and surrounded by good bars and eateries nearby.

All in all, disappointed with the stay especially when compared to other resorts of the same brand Westin. They need to majorly work on their service.

Well what do I say about the proerty, the ambience and most importantly the staff at The Westin, Goa.
We took our 1 year old daughter for her first vacation and chose the Westin after getting amazing reviews from our friends and we will always be so happy to come back here with her.
Our host was Sagar, who made sure that we had everything we needed provided to us in an instant. He made sure our transfer from the airport to the hotel went off smoothly. He also surprised us with complimentary DIY cocktails and cute cupcakes for our daughter in the room. Everyday we would come back in the evening to our room to some wonderful surprise. If you come here request the hotel to get you in touch with him. He will be your go to man for everything you could possibly need. Words will not be enough to praise how helpful he has been .
Secondly, the chef at the Westin has magic in his fingers.
He made us whatever meals we wanted customised to our needs . From Avocados for breakfast to asian bowls for dinner, we have come back a very happy satiated family. Also, what we loved were the little trays he would pass around at breakfast with local delicacies from different parts of India bring back memories from
Our childhood. From gur puras to gulgule something memorable would bring a smile on our face every morning.
Thirdly, Vikas in housekeeping made sure our rooms were always squeaky clean. He would leave little bottles of lavender mist on our beds to make them feel like heaven!
Fourth, Phnlum would greet us warmly everytime we walked into the lobby and she would ensure our baby was always in happy spirits.
Fifth, Ruth in the kids play area was so warm towards our baby. She made sure she came back happy always. She also told us about a fish feeding activity that our baby enjoyed.
The instructor at the gym introduced us to aqua aerobics which was a very different experience for us. Took away all the guilt from our binge eating week.
I have missed out alot of names but we will always be thank ful to the whole staff at the Westin. Our daughter for whom it was her first time being away from home and in a new environment, had an absolute blast. The whole staff on the Market, the dining area was so friendly with her, we didnot have to worry about her while eating food. They would play with her while we ate so that we could enjoy our meals. It has been a pleasure staying at the Westin, we look forward to many more happy memories at this beautiful hotel.

Hotel

Hotel is beautiful, very courteous staff, amazing food & 10/10 on the location
Few pointers i would like to share which didn’t go well & hamper our experience:

1. On arrival day 1 - We drove from Mumbai & both the cars were extremely dirty so we requested the car to be washed. Car numbers, model & valet tags were rectified, payments were also done, but 1 car was not given for washing. Requested the same to be done next day but in vain. We were told that car was not found which was more concerned as the car was under the hotel valet. I personally had to get it done which ruined our lunch plan of going to south goa.
2. We booked 2 rooms & my cousin requested for a smoking room on arrival to which the receptionist gave a room with balcony however within 5 mins another lady came & informed us that hotel is sold out completely & they cant offer us that room. He was ready to pay for a higher category room but same was denied. On checking online, rooms were available on all various platforms.
3. Room #2055 had a major leakage in head shower, later it was fixed. Constant reminders were given for cleaning the same room & to pickup the laundry but same was not done. Later duty manager & housekeeping in charge was called.
4. We all came for brunch as it was really praised by Sagar Rai however on arrival table was denied which really triggered my cousin & chef rajeev had to intervene to which we got option to select between two hotels within 5/10 mins.

The drift staff - tejas & adrin are really helpful & spa staff is also very courteous. Ranjana from market is very helpful & full of energy. Overall the entire staff is good but the problem is with deliveries after saying YES for everything.

They say yes for everything but fail when it comes to delivering & it feels like we are telling them how to do their job.

A brief review of
The Westin Goa at Anjuna.
You are greeted with a chilled beer ( as a welcome drink) and Namastes all around.
Check in is pleasantly quick.
After that we expect to be ignored as per our experience in most high-end hotels in Goa.
But this hotel is totally different. You will never ever feel ignored.
The staff is a second away though they are invisible. Always smiling and ready to make conversation with you if need be.
The rooms are brilliantly comfortable. You may not need to call for room service. You are treated like a Maharaja irrespective of your status or attire.
At breakfast you are met by the chef and the Guest Relations Manager who is very knowledgeable about everything and free to share his unbiased views.
We noticed an attitude in this hotel and that is probably the key to the success of this hotel.
An attitude to help,
co-operate and most importantly oblige.
The food and breakfast is heavenly.
The pool is open till midnight with no lifeguards visible....but around.
Being a high end hotel the tariff is a wee bit on the higher side so you cannot expect an unruly crowd. This makes your stay perfectly safe.
Special thanks to
1. Sagar Rai.. Guest Relations Manager
2. Sakshit the mixologist.
3.Rajeev Kumar ..Chef
4.Nishant .. Chef
And all the pretty looking ground staff.

The spa was relaxing super hygienic with well trained masseurs which are perfect to take away all your tiredness and make your therapy a super luxurious experience. Being a proud Goan, was keen to show my wife the beauty of Goa. We decided to stay at The Westin and what a choice it ended up being. We were treated like royalty, the hospitality extended to my wife and I was like that of being family to all the staff. The amenities are amazing, delicious food, a variety of beverages and a lovely pool for those warm days. We had some issues with an external transport supplier but the Westin stepped in and organised everything for us which gave us peace of mind for the rest of the trip.

My wife and I are so grateful for the treatment and we were very sad to leave but without a doubt, we will be staying at the Westin next time we make it to Goa.

A few special mentions.

Yasir is a true gentlemen, he was amazing in ensuring our stay was most comfortable and providing assistance whenever required.

Mevin also an true gentlemen, made sure my wife and I were safely transported around Goa and was extremely polite!

Sadesh also like the guys above was amazing in helping us and greeting us everyday, thanks Sadesh!

Savio was a huge help, picking us and dropping us to the airport when our transport did not show up.

Ranjana was splendid! So welcoming and always had a smile on her face! We will miss her a lot!

Adrin and Tejas were always making sure we well nourished near the pool side.

Sagar, like the above mentioned gentlemen also ensured our stay was smooth and always checked in with us.

Srikanth was extremely polite and a fabulous fitness instructor, was great to chat and work out with him.

A big thank you to the staff that made sure our room was beautifully presented everyday, they were also very polite!

The chef's were all amazing as well, cooking us special meals in addition to what we ordered. Will definitely miss the food!

In a lockdown and a heavy cyclone , 2days of no power I fled my house to find this jewel hidden right near by.
I must thank Akshay, Arun and Samveda for always being aware and sensitive to any needs.
The chef Rajiv provided one of the best palak paneer dishes I’ve ever had.
The atmosphere was lively with tasteful music in the public areas, the rooms spacious and the bed and pillows like cotton wool clouds ,magnificent !!
Much thx I would definitely recommend
