We have been staying at Driftwood for about 30 years. Yes there are newer and shinier buildings but we like the location--close to restaurants, bars, and "downtown". It is on the beach, just a short walk from the gulf. Adequate parking and good elevators make this a highly desirable place to stay.

Good hotel for price. Across street from beach access. We had an end room and it was very large. Liked the room. Did not eat breakfast at hotel but did notice large crowd each morning. Large eating area.

Condo amenities were great. Gated Pool was kept clean. All condos are beach/gulf front. Received discounts for other local attractions after booking 6 nights/7 days minimum. Less than 1 mile from restaurants, grocery, and retail shops. We parasailed right in front of our condo.....it was pricey but worth every second! Also watched fireworks from our balcony! 2nd Floor and higher...

For the money these condos are nice. Close to everything, but they need new elevators!! The one that works is HOT and very slow. Check out Flip Flop deli shop across the street! My kids liked the pool. I need more words. Again the elevator sucks!!

Driftwood Towers is a great 'home base' for your Gulf Shores vacation! We stayed in 5A and found it to be a great corner unit, right on the beach. The unit features 2 large bedrooms and 2 full baths, with lots of privacy for 2 couples sharing the condo. The balcony was very roomy (with awesome views of the beach)...

Our family stayed in unit 2D. While these aren't the fanciest condos in Gulf Shores, we spent so little time in the condo that it really didn't matter. They are adequate - not run down, no weird smells, nothing was too bad. The good things: the MOST comfortable bed I have EVER slept in (Master Bedroom); cute decor, nice furnishings,...

This is a great place for a girls' getaway after Labor Day! Our unit (6D) was clean, nicely furnished, and well stocked. The pool is great and the beach is easily accessible. The view from the balcony is wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to make this an annual event.

Arrived June 4th,2012 to unit 4H. The complex is fine and the location is great. Not a huge complex so the beach, which is easily accessed, was not crowded which was great! However, the condo was nasty! The bathtubs were grungy with black stains and the carpet had numerous stains. There were even big stains on the white bedroom furniture!...

We stayed in Unit 5F. It was very well stocked with basic necessities and the view was gorgeous. The pool has a keypad code to get into it (and ultimately, out to the beach from the condo) and it was very. We were there for the 4th of July, and sat right by the condo pool and enjoyed the fireworks...
