We stayed in the west bldg unit 5411. It was extremely clean and well stocked. My only suggestion would be a washer and dryer in the unit. The only issue we had is the electronic swipe card did not work so we went back to...More
We had a pretty lousy trip so it's hard to review this place accurately. A hurricane hit far away and pushed a cold front down on us the whole time we were there. I don't want to blame The Plantation though. It was a decent...More
My husband and I arrived here on April 22nd and we have loved our stay thus far. It has been so peaceful and uncrowded. Now this place is out of the way. You literally will have to drive 30 minutes for shopping, dinner, entertainment, Etc....More

Each of the buildings has a section closer to the Gulf. There are 2 boardwalks on either end of the resort. You have to use the boardwalks to get over the sand dunes to reach the beach. There are no rooms that go straight onto the beach. I would recommend buildings closest to the boardwalks. There several good images of the resort layout on line.
