Researched this campground online. Reality did not come close to glowing reports. Located on the east end of the island it is close to old Fort Gaines and the Estuarium sealife discovery facility. This campground is old and not very well maintained. Campsites are quite small. We were parked in a full hookup site, next to the road with a...

We visited the campground the weekend prior to out planned stay. THE CAMPGROUND employee gave us a list of 6 sites to choose from for out planned visit 2/10. We chose, we paid. When we arrived the next weekend, we were told sites are not guaranteed. Our site was taken. We were offered a site that was not conducive to...

We have stayed here twice in our little pop-up camper with our 2 dogs. We like to camp in the off-season so it was less crowded & we were able to select spots further away from the large RV's and therefore had peace & quiet. What we enjoy most is the adjacent Audubon bird sanctuary & nature trail and the...

I planned to tent camp here in May 2015 with my husband after graduating from nursing school. My husband and I enjoy camping very much and are not new at it. We've visited a few places before this one. Online it sounded so perfect! When we got there the sites were incredibly close together and had no amenities to speak...

We spent a month at this RV park in July 205 and really enjoyed it. The park is clean, well-groomed, and gated. They offer a very nice pool and club house. The sites are nice and have plenty of room. They have nice bath houses and a laundry room. It is across the street from water front, however to spend...

The campground is in an amazing location at the end of the island within walking and biking distance to the estreium and Fort gaines as well as a bike trail down the island. The spots for your camper have hardly any room between you and your neighbors, but most of the park is shady. There is a good walk to...

Clean and look People, its not rocket science! Clean up your camp ground! and keep it clean. Keep the washers and dryers working properly and the showers too with strong water pressure! Pick up the trash and garbage and stop leaving it trashy, junky looking! And just maybe, I might check it out later! Until then, you can find me...

First time here and it's pretty nice. Great location to beach, Fort Gaines and Sea Lab! Campsite is nice and shaded. Bath house is clean. Staff is great. Only issue is free Wifi....seems to only work in a small section of the campground and not near our campsite but overall would definitely come back.

Stayed just under a week in the tent area. Had a blast!.. Short walk to the beach, and never crowded. Showers were HOT, electricity worked, and water was good. Bike path all the way to the West end.The poor review writers should check into a hotel. I guess they forgot they were camping.

This campground is tight (neighbor campers sat under our rear slide), not kept up (the bathrooms are ancient and moldy), the campsites are never cleaned up after camper leaves. We came upon a copperhead snake on the pathway to the bathroom. The leaves (a favorite camouflage for copperheads) surrounding the bathroom don't look as though they have ever been raked,...
