What a beautiful place! Exactly the kind of experience you are looking for in Siberia. It's clean, it's warm, it's cosy. Food is really good and the location is great, right next to Shaman Rock! Only problem: rather rude staff. The girl that organises the excursions showed me to my room. She is friendly, until you start asking questions. Then... More

Nice homestead and probably the most comfortable in the island. Nevertheless, our group was disappointed with the meals included. Very limited portion. We were late on the first day for the dinner, and left with very little food, even it is served ala-carte. Left earlier on the day we check out and was stunned with the prepacked breakfast, which include... More

The Very Good rating is based on having a perfect room on the second floor with a view of Lake Baikal and Shaman Rock. We saw spectacular sunsets. The room was very large and comfortable. However the food is not good (do not go for the meal plan). Room quality is uneven, my fellow traveller had a very small dark... More

I definitely not recommend this place. We have now been traveling for over 4 months and this must be the worst place we have ever been to. This mainly due to the poor reception, service and the old fashion attitude like for example not including free wifi. In every place we have been so far wifi has been available for... More

The hotel is nice and very eco friendly. Great place to relax and unwind. I however had an unpleasant experience in the Banya there which I booked for myself since I am travelling alone. The Banya Man was very unprofessional and kept trying to force me to drink beer when I specifically wanted water and also smoking in the Banya... More

It's called "usad'ba" what in russian actually means villa, but it's worst hostel I've ever seen. We had lux room, but it was dirty, nobody cleaned it during our stay there , we received dirty towels. The dinner and breakfast was included in the price, but it was possibile to drink only tea, other things was disgusting, always cold and... More

We booked a yug at Nikita's for one night, and it came with a private bathroom/shower. 2000 rubles per pax for a night, including breakfast and dinner. Despite the mixed reviews surrounding the place, we were pleasantly surprised. Reception was good as the staff were friendly and spoke English, the room was spacious and clean, and the food provided was... More

I'm glad to have chosen this hotel for my trip in Lake Baikal. All staff warmly welcomed us and were always ready to help. I loved the cosy design of the whole area as it is very typical traditional Russian style. The homestead is located by the lake shore so you can have a nice walk and enjoy the wonderful... More

The island was beautiful tho it was onlyby chance that I saw other parts. It was a last minute decision to go to this island so I did not have a map. As the most popular place listed i was surprised when the girl checking me in said they havent printed any yet, theyre waiting for the tourist season. (I... More

I stayed at Nikita's Homestead for four nights and enjoyed the experience. The location was great..just a stone's throw away from Shaman's Rock...and the rooms were comfortable with hot water in the shower and heating. Just 2 criticisms: the heating was actually excessive throughout the complex....I had to pull the plugs out in my room to try to cool down;... More
