Room was clean and comfortable. After arriving from Varanasi by train we arrived here by an Ambassador taxi ) a nice experience in itself) we got our rooms then met downstairs for a quite lunch before we were due to go to Victoria Memorial Park.
I had a quite nice pakora and eventually chose a lime soda since the sullen restaurant manage dodn't appear to have anything else to drink that I asked for.
As we were due to leave before six the next morninng our guide Pema ordered a pack breakfast for us. I wish I had taken a picture of it but I didn't. I was presented in a white cake box neatly secured with several red rubbed bands creating a nice criss cross pattern on the top of the box. I opened it at the airport before we went through security and I would have been as well just throwing it straight into the garbage as apart from a very small carton of mango juice there were 2 dry pieces of white bread, a tiny over ripe banana and maybe cheese ??
Oh I also took a picture of the sponge that as on my shower in the bathroom !!

I stayed in this hotel at the end of Feb 2020. My room was clean and tidy, the only exception being that I had to request a new Loo Roll twice. There was hot water and the shower worked well. I didn't find the hotel staff very friendly and the restaurant staff were hopeless. As long as you don't mind inferior staff and eat out I would say this is a good hotel in which to stay given the price.

Location wise it is good and room was good: clean and specious for one person. Adjacent restaurant food is good. The main problem was: it was 35 degree centigrade Outside temperature and the air conditioning system didn’t work. So it was not comfortable for whole day. I moved to Leela Devi resort, Kasba and found room for cheaper price for rest of my stay in Kolkata.

Rooms are satisfactory. My stay was less than 12 hours with breakfast included. I suggest you do not consider it breakfast. The staff says you can get a maximum of one egg and four slices of white bread. They can't provide breakfast before 8 in in the morning. They will charge you twice the market rate for a bottle of drinking water. Select if you find nothing else. Well I do not want to spend my precious time writing more about these memories I don't want to keep. Writing since minimum 200 words are required.Good luck. I was not told while booking that unmarried couples were not allowed to stay. I was scrutinized by the person manning the lobby as to my 'relationship' with the person staying with me. I had to look for a hotel at the last minute, lugging my bag all over with me. Terrible not to state this at the time of booking.

Try Awesome Bengali Food At Ghare Baire Restaurant.
I am pure Veg and they have delicious Veg food, try it if you are in kolkatta for typical Bengali style and taste.
I had taken Thali and also tried there special Aampanna drink.

Their trip advisor page says they have a 24 hour concierge. I made the booking based on that information. After paying for the booking, the email confirmation said they don't even have a front desk. I'm sorry, Trip Advisor but I hold you accountable for this. I made the booking based on your information on YOUR website. Surely you should make sure what you are offering? I contacted the hotel for a clarification. You guessed it. Nothing. I'd say, play it safe, give this one a miss.

Apart from its great location , this property fails in most of the other aspects. Be it the morning breakfast with absolutely no good options , or their housekeeping and front office staff who are poorly trained in customer service , this is certainly one Treebo property I regret to have booked.

Its a very quiet location for family stay. Clean and well maintained room, staff are very friendly and cordial. I loved their dinner "veg Thali" is really awesome. However their breakfast is not up to the mark, they must improve it. This hotel doesn't have non smoking room made me unhappy.

This hotel has a very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel and my room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. I get free water, tea, coffee, newspaper, soap... The view from the window wasn't so exciting but it wasn't important for me. The breakfast was average. About the location: the hotel is in the near Kolkata number one sight. The streets are very busy and noisy here.
