1. When we arrived no one showed up at the gate we have to carry our luggage till the reception.
2. One of the pillow had red spot . Which was not changed by the house keeping even after room cleaning.
3. We were celebrating anniversary and asked for a cake at midnight they showed up with the cake and bill which was not expected coz in other reputed hotel such gesture are complimentary and the most irritating part was they demanded money right there in the room generally all bills are cleared at the time of checkout.
4. While checking in we were told that we will be given complementary goodies every morning but we had not received the same .
5. Used towel were not replaced also toiletries were not replenished.
About bad experiences
1. Hotel people asked to pay after every food item we ordered .
2. Even asked to deposit the money for eateries
3. Ordering 2 tea , took more than 1 hour for it to be delivered at room.
4. You talk about Vedic Village Eco Friendly efforts still room had plastic water bottles we requested for glass bottles which earlier was denied, however later were provided.
5. When room was booked and you knew there were 3 people, still toiletries only for 1, in house tea / coffee / dairy whitener only for 1.
6. On first day of check in during evening snacks, 1 incorrect item was delivered and next day delay of over an hour for two tea, atleast this could have been waived as a Goodwill gesture just to compensate for the ordeals.
The rooms are shabby, dirty and smelly, the toilets stink, the pictures on the website are totally misleading. The sofas and beds are crumbling, the mattresses are too soft and give you a backache, the toilet flushes do not work and the entire place is in a state of severe disrepair. It seems that there has been no effort made to properly maintain the facilities ever since this place was built.
To top this, the restaurant food lacks both variety and taste. The service is too slow and the staff is not well trained to deal with customers.
The saving grace is the spa
They will keep reminding you that each extra service you are taking you have to pay. Even if you say okay. They keep going on and about it.
Reception people are too busy to answer your calls and listen to you. They just hang up on your face without listening to your whole sentence.
Rooms have worms and the property has a lot of mosquitos which is quite unreasonable to what they charge.
Horrible.

The pros and cons are as under:
Pros: 1. The property is nestled amid quiet atmosphere and greenery all around.
2. The check in was smooth and got a decent room with lawns in front and balcony at the rear.
3. Restaurant is nicely maintained and the food was good.
4. Breakfast spreads were also good but need to add new variety.
Cons: Through out our stay we were badly disturbed by the marriage functions held in the lawn area. One should prepare to coop up with the disturbance.
2. Being a large property the overall maintenance was at minimum. The wood work inside the room needs polishing. The wooden floors were all got discoloured.
3. The management should pay attention to improve the service of housekeeping as you need to call someone to make your room for the day.
4. You will find street dogs moving in the corridor and you need to be careful.
Last but not the least we need to mention the beautiful assistance provided by Mr. Utpal, the floor manager and our special thanks for him. All his care and assistance made our stay a memorable one.
This resort is very far from any location from Kolkata. It was very expensive and breakfast for 2Luchi and Chola Dal was charged Rs 750.Golf cart charges are too high.
It's a dead investment like Lavassa.
Try to improve. Good Luck.

The food they serve is really tasty, but here comes the tricky part – it costs a lot more than it should. Imagine paying extra for your favorite snacks. Not cool, right?
The real excitement starts in the afternoon. You can ride on those cool Segway machines, feeling like you're floating around. Or, you can grab a bicycle and explore neat trails. Archery and balloon shooting make you feel like a superhero hitting targets. And, if you're into peaceful vibes, paddling a boat on the water is just perfect.
To sum it up, Vedic Village is a mix of good and not-so-good things. Afternoons there are a blast, and you can try cool stuff like riding Segways and doing archery. But, some parts are not well taken care of, and the food prices make you think twice. With a little fixing up and fairer prices, it could be an amazing spot for everyone to enjoy.
