We stayed at this hotel in December 2021 as our friend had booked this, primarily because this was very close to his house and we were attending his son's wedding. I will try and point out some positives first, of which there are very few! The first positive point is probably the location, it is close to Gariahat, which makes it a prime location. The second positive point is a domestic staff by the name of Rajesh, who tried his best to help. The positives end there. The rooms itself are filthy and the bathrooms and toilets are disgusting. The public toilets are probably better!! The bathtub has probably never been cleaned. It was full of moulds and black spots. The toilet was dirty, and there was a leak from the bathroom ceiling right above the toilet, so when you are sat on the toilet, muck from the toilet above will dribble on your head! Our room was on the 4th floor, but the lift does not stop on the 4th floor, we would have to go to the 5th floor where the hotel reception was and come down or up the steps. There is only one small lift everyone squeezes into that - forget Covid!! There are no steps as it is blocked at the 2nd floor. Do not stay there unless your only criteria is you want to stay in Gariahat, even then look for alternatives

The only good thing in this hotel was their breakfast. But again, you need to pay if you order an extra lacha. Do not choose this hotel for the following reasons: 1. For staying 4 hours extra they charged a day and night 2. The four days I stayed there, room service was nil. No cleaning, no changing bed sheets, no refilling soaps and shampoos 3. Room was not dusty. But it looked dirty. The white coloured bed sheet looked brown. 4. Now, how about this? Would you want to stay in a hotel where walls are "filled" of mucus of someone's nose drooping/flowing down? I even put up with that. 5. But how about this? The receptionist threw my ID card to me after taking a photocopy of it. Mere aggression and rudeness. Again, when I went to pay my breakfast bills, the receptionist answered my question ( well, at least answered, right?) Concentrating at some work he was doing, not looking at my face. This implies, "who the hell asked you to come here?" Or "I'm the owner of this hotel ( well, I confirmed that he wasn't), who the hell are you, a mere customer). I have more reasons but, stopping here becausen of you would like to read a lengthy review. Book this hotel at your own risk. No one is friend to you, there.

Will it's not a palace but it has an old world charm to it. Rooms are spacious. The hotel is located near a big market. The restaurant service was very slow. Fortunately there are plethora of restaurants nearby including two in the same building.

We were a big family. Stayed here for 2 nights. We had a comfortable stay. Hotel is a bit old but I found rooms had old world charm. Location is the biggest positive for the hotel. It is close to shopping area. The area has a lot of good restaurants. The in-house restaurant was very slow in serving food. They took more than half an hour to serve tea! Looks like their kitchen is understaffed.

We came here as guests for groom'side. The rooms are OK... But the behaviour of staff is absolutely inhuman. At time of check out we were outside the room at 12 pm as instructed by them however their rooms are at 5th floor and they have only one lift with stairs blocked. They have marriage hall in 2nd floor and roof top. However the stairs are blocked so to avail the lift there was a queue of 50 people if you wish to go up or down. The staff member does not bother if anyone is sitting in the room after check out and he pulls the keys out to turn the power off and ends up insulting you. He has done to a 94 years old man sitting in the room. Will never suggest this Place to any marriage occasion

I visited 1st time to Kolkatta and had to shop at Gariahat market. Stayed in this hotel for 1 night since it is closure to the market. Hotel staff is very rude specifically Mr. Bikash Pol. Averge rooms. Lights in the rooms are not working working and when called the housekeeping they did not bother to change the lights. There was no buffet breakfast inspite of having booked room with meal option. We were forced to have breakfast in the room itself. We could order only 2 options free of cost in the breakfast. Overall terrible place to stay.

Park Palace Hotel is located in the heart of Gariahat, a bustling market in South Kolkata. I have been a customer of this hotel since more than a decade and have reviewed it here a few times. The hotel has replaced its ageing lift with a new one. It is located on the 4th and 5th floors of the building. It has added free WiFi for its customers. The reception desk gives the password. The rooms are cosy and the ambience is very good. Room service is quite efficient. Complimentary breakfast is provided to all customers. The hotel has a kitchen and veg and non veg food viz lunch, dinner, snacks are delivered to the suites on demand. Overall, the location and the hotel are top class. Gariahat is well connected to all parts of Kolkata

Nothing much to write home about it. Its a decent budget hotel, with friendly enough staff. Rooms are adequate. Location is very good and there is enough and more connection to major parts of Kolkata.
