Moved here after a bad experience at The Golden Apple Boutique Hotel just down the road. Front desk staff were very helpful. I needed a pharmacy and they indicated the best pharmacy and it was just down the road - a life saver for me as I needed an antibiotic! Only gripe is no wifi in the rooms. Wifi only... More

I rated this property as very good not in terms of international rating standard but considering its location in Kolkata! It's not very nice & dependable hotel at Sudder street for upcoming visitors. All staffs attitude - professional & supportive as well as helpful. Breakfast - very reasonable, rooms conditions- good if disregard AC SOUND! House keeping - very responsive,Front... More

I have stayed at the Lytton many times over the years, and there has been no decline in either quality or service, which is saying something for a hotel that has been around for quite a long time. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the restaurant is very good, and the staff is amazing...even willing to go above and... More

I stayed in Lytton Hotel Kolkata from 21st Aug 2016 to 24th Aug 2016. It turned out to be quite a surprise package. It is nicely located not very far from Park Street bang apposite Indian Museum on Sudder Road. The hotel is old hotel and has its own imperial charm. The room ( Deluxe) was quite specious with queen... More

I chose the Lytton because from the street and in the lobby it looked better than the Fairlawn, a few doors down on Sudder Street, and I had eaten in its 'Gaylords' restaurant. Sadly, the condition ad quality of the rooms is far inferior to the impression given by its impressive exterior. The rooms are tired and showing their age.... More

Its a nice simple hotel for a decent stay in mid range. Its not a royal kind a hotel and more of a budgeted hotel. The furniture was old but it was still ok. The cleanliness was maintained thought which was great to see. The location was good too & there are many restaurants nearby.

This hotel is a bit off the main drag but a great location from which to explore Kolkata. The rooms were a reasonable size, reasonably clean and air conditioned. WIFI is provided but was not functioning in the rooms when we were there. The beds were comfortable and laundry service is provided. A lift is provided to access the upper... More

Though located in the business district, it was a bit difficult to locate. The Museum (called Jadughar) is the landmark for this. I was told it is the oldest hotel in the locality. Maintenance is alright, could have been better. Park Street, National Museum, etc are within walking distance. Huge hotel and big rooms. Wide variety of dishes for breakfast,... More

We stayed here for a week. The hotel was clean & situated in Sudder Street, which is ideal for walking to lots of places and restaurants. It was comfortable and we had free wifi and breakfast.
