The pillows are the fluffiest I have ever felt and the utmost care from the most gentle staff, I have ever met. They will make you feel so special and loved that, You would totally want to become a regular at their hotel.
I had gone with my sister and we checked in a t 2:00am. The check in was hassle free and smooth, I had a bellboy delivering all my luggage in my room before I reached my room and we were allowed a late check out as well.
The highlight of the trip was meeting chef Ranvijay and him feeding usa from his secret menu. He ensured that we were well fed, Despite of our diet challenges such as Vegan / Gluten free. He created recipes that were extremely delicious and even shared them with us.

Especially Subhojit, who did his best to accommodate me despite my arriving too early to check-in. And he pleasantly surprised me by moving me to an ITC One room for my second day. Might I add what an amazing room that is! Every staff member I encountered, from the front desk to housekeeping, went out of their way to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Special shout-out to the employees and the chef at the Eden Pavilion during the breakfast buffet. Aside from the great food choices offered, they were kind enough to indulge me with amazing Misthi Doi, despite it not being a part of the buffet. Awesome property of ITC and it is not easy to maintain such a property. I was here on a business visit for 3 days. The entire staff was very cordial and I should mention Bireswar Mondal. He used to clean up the room so neatly and he has a unique way to make you smile by leaving a nice towel shaped like a lotus and a thank you card, everyday. After a busy day when you enter the room such gestures bring a smile to your face. Awesome energy and a ever smiling face. Kudos to those who take pride in whatever they do.

I had an amazing and exceptional 5-star stay at the hotel, thanks to the outstanding service provided by the hotel service person Bireswar Mondal. His proactive approach in arranging the bed, promptly replacing a slightly broken electric kettle and iron, and suggesting ways to enhance my bath experience truly elevated the stay to an ideal 5-star level. Moreover, he added a delightful touch when replacing the bathing towel, presenting it with little cute birds on top – a small yet exceptional detail that made my experience truly memorable. The combination of these amazing services, attention to detail, and positive attitude contributed to an overall comfortable stay that I thoroughly enjoyed. I appreciate the effort that went into making my time at the hotel exceptional.

It was the most pathetic experience at ITC. So now ITC will dictate how many bottles of liquor I can carry to my room and whether I can carry a bluetooth speaker. So the duty manager has assumed that anyone who carries more than 1 bottle of liqour and a Bluetooth speaker has come to the hotel to disturb other guests. I have stayed in multiple ITC properties and was a regular customer in all the restaurants in Sonar and Royal Bengal but this experience has taught me that never go to ITC again. They are judgemental and apparently in a democratic country they will dictate terms of what I should or should not carry in my room
The behaviour was so cold and rude that I had to cancel my stay and leave the hotel. Please avoid this hotel please
The attitude of the duty manager was rude and disrespectful. Please visit the Westin, JW Marriot or Taj Hotels but avoid ITC. They will be judgemental and disrespectful

Like a typical 5 star, they manage the standards and services. Located in a prime location, their room rates were competitive compared to other well established Ivy league hotels.

Selecting an unfamiliar hotel based on only photos for a birthday break was a chance that we took. Did we make the right choice? One hundred percent. The hotel is a nature resort in the middle of a busy city, with a rural Bengal vibe. Our post breakfast leisurely strolls around the grounds were truly rejuvenating.
The rooms are nice, with ITC’s sustainable practices evident everywhere, from bottled water to toiletries. The managers went above and beyond to take care of our special requests, and the chefs did a splendid job of food curation. Highly recommended.

Being a regular here for over six years, it’s natural for me to come to expect a certain standard from the ITC group.
That expectation is certainly met with the lush green expanse of the hotel courtyard, a treat to tired eyes and ideal retreat to immerse oneself in one’s thoughts.
While there are variations to the standards in the rooms with each stay, they are generally well appointed and comfortable. Of course, it is essential to get one facing towards the Royal Bengal property, whenever events are hosted at the hotel, as the noisy music from the mega speakers will render any rest impossible.
The highlight of the place of course are the restaurants, specifically Dum Phukt. The mutton kebabs are unlike any ever eaten, and literally melt in the mouth. With a luscious biryani that boasts of meat that falls off the bone, it is a gastronomic delight.
Our host Mr. Debhasis crowns the experience with his knowledgable narration about the food’s intricacies, and his prompt personalised service. Ms. Binita’s smiling friendliness also keeps one coming back for more.
Sneha at the Grand Market Pavilion at the Royal Bengal also truly deserves a special mention with her untiring hospitality, a fine example of ITC’s unique service standards.
I offer my kudos to Mr. Raghav Wanchoo, Manager of restaurants, for carrying forward his standards of excellence from when he would host me at the ITC Gardenia at Bangalore.
In all, it is just the place to unwind and pamper oneself in all things good.

Nothing less and nothing more, I never knew that the Australian hotels pay to the guests for a positive response but it never happens with ITC group of hotels ... particularly with Sonar.... It's a vibrant team who feels that U r before I. This place is synonymous with Responsible Luxury. My strong objection to the cheapest of the comments on the reviews. We need to mind our language when we write ! For many or any ITC Sonar is Just A Home Away From Home !! Team Sonar is a perfect blend of Indian hospitality with a responsible International touch đź‘Ť
