It was an office picnic for us. The place can be easily reached from Calcutta, which is a plus point. While the price is on the steep side for a day visit, the advantage is that it keeps the place free from the hoi polloi and has an exclusive picnic atmosphere.
There are lots of greenery and a fair sized water body inside the compound. We saw plenty of flowers all over the place, which made it very colourful and cheerful. Lots of effort were taken by the staff to be helpful.

Morning snacks was luchi, aloo dum, chhola daal, egg and gurer rasgulla. It was a buffet. Snacks in between were chicken pakora or paneer pakora and potato fingers. Lunch was rice, dal, fine aloo bhaja, salad, two veggies, fish, chicken or mutton, chutney, papad and ice-cream. Two more alternative dishes for vegetarians. Food was adequate but not over the top.

There are plenty of activities for climbing and fun like roap bridges, jungle gym, slides, see-saw, hammock, swing from sturdy trees etc. The maintenance is quite fair. You have to book one tent in advance to keep your stuff as also to get the chairs in front of the tent. They also have umbrellas put up for sitting underneath them, in plastic chairs. Night accommodation is also provided in these tents. Drivers' food packets are provided at a charge. Everything was reasonably organised.

Overall, an enjoyable trip.

We were there for a day trip in mid August 2022. My comments
1. Location - drive from Ruby Hospital is on a raod, which is smooth per se. But it goes through many areas of people staying and so one has to be careful
2. Property - has decent amount of greenery. Can be pleasnt from this standpoint
3. Parking - not good for day trip visitors as day trip visitors are asked to park outside, where there is no parking area anyway. So, one needs to park on the main road. I was able to finally park inside after lot of discussions, but the second car in our group had to park outside on the road. I would alert future day trip visitors about this
4. Tent - we were given one tent for day trip. Furnishings in tent - below average. Nothing to write home about. Being on a day trip, we have no complaints. Bathroom was adjacent - was clean
5. Food - breakfast was good with hot luchi served. Lunch was below average. Fish, mutton, both items were overspicy. Evening snacks were acceptable
6. Service - was acecptable. Staff appeared to make an attempt to help us out

At an overall level, I would rate the place at the most average. Definitely I do not see a reason to go again. People going first time, pls do enough research and then only decide

We had visited Jungle Tent last week as having good expectations from a day outing amidst nature with family.

When details were taken over phone and message - rates were told to us but nowhere it was mentioned that advanced booking needed for daytrip.

When we reached early morning, as I was told breakfast starts from 9.30 am and as we had to take the package ticket which included meals and entry, (as no outside food wl be allowed) and no ala carte orders can be placed..so there was no option but to have breakfast there.

To my utter dismay the guard didnt open the gates and turned us away firstly saying that we didnt intimate them in advance!!
On requesting then he directed us to call the manager over phone - but with great difficulty managed to get the signal on phone - and on dialing the number the lady was exceptionally rude and told us to kinda "Go Back" !!
We were kinda disappointed and told us since we have come all the way please consider and allow us...and i had to be really apologetic...then she sounded as if doing a great favour and casting mercy on us and told us to wait there for 1/2 hr until our entry can be considered !!

Finally we were let in! and had to pay the price of almost 1100 pp which i found highly exhorbitant for the place for a day spending.
The breakfast was medicore with limited options
The lunch was exceptionally delayed - post 2 pm whereas we were told that it will be served at 1 pm !
This pinches more as they have no snack joint which one can reach out to if needbe with kids around.
They have very few common staffs on duty who do all the running around on the facilty - so that leads to further delay if anything is needed.

The waterbody is very unclean and the boating seemed risky and not so pleasant - and this was chargeable too !
There were no flowers etc which in winter season can be easily maintained all around- thus no beautification.
Very limited activities to do.
On sneaking in we found the size of tent pretty small - just enough to sleep !

So those visiting can keep these points in mind.

A highly expensive place with little to offer unlike other spots in kolkata for dayouting, and highly rude and unprofessional management of the place !

My disappointment with my recent stay on February 9, 2024. I found the location to be quite remote, making it difficult to reach without a car. Additionally, there was no designated parking area, which caused some inconvenience.
During my stay, I encountered several issues with the services of the non-cooperative management and owner.
Overall, I felt that the resort was not well managed to handle guests. It seemed more like a private park than a commercial establishment. Given my experience, I would not recommend this resort to others.

Food was stale and tasted very bad, especially the non veg items.
The activities are too simple and easy for adults.
There's nothing much to do and see.
Very disappointed with the approach of the owner.
