A picture says a thousand words. The pictures accompanying this post will immediately explain the harrowing experience of three people being crammed into one tiny room for a stay of four nights. The hotel charged for triple occupancy and a premier room. The so called premier room had hardly any space for the third bed that was eventually placed by removing the single sofa and the table to keep one's belongings on. The Reader can imagine the frustration of the people who had to tolerate this nonsense in addition to dealing with urine stains on the toilet seat, nothing starting from drinking water to tea bags, towels, glasses, cups being adequate for catering to three people, intercom not working for one full day, slow service and absolutely unhelpful and arrogant reception staff. The question is ...why should a hotel not care about creating such a horrible experience for guests who have paid good money to them?…
Our stay in Southern Plaza Hotel was truly heartwarming, mainly driven by the exceptional care and hospitality from each of the hotel staffs. We stayed there for few weeks. Each day, starting from breakfast to late evening, we were attended by F&B executives headed by Gokul, Breakfast Attendants Surya, Priyojit and Staffs, Housekeeping by BikashDa and team, and most importantly Front desk executives Priaynka and Rajesh and GM Mr Sanjay who went out of their way to accommodate changes and make sure our stay everyday, was wonderful. We were touched by the genuine care of Security @ Somnath and others. I would not hesitate to rate the overall experience as WAY ABOVE EXPECTED. We look forward to come back again and again to this very homely stay.
Having travelled over 14 countries worldwide and staying over 42 different hotels, this is the first time I truly felt like staying in my home-away-from-home. Southern Plaza Hotel and Oceania Restaurant is not only topnotch in terms of overall quality of service and excellent food each and every time, the hotel stands out for its truly personal touch and care in every aspect of hospitality. Since, it will be overwhelming to acknowledge and appreciate each of the staff in Southern Plaza who attended us daily, during our long stay, I will mention the names of few who stood out in their genuine care each day. Very caring security Somnath Bhattacharya and thoughtfully attending breakfast Executive Surya and team (Batakrishna, Ranjith); HOD of F&B Gokul for his caring and personalized food preparation, each and every time. Super prompt Front Desk Executive Priyanka and RakeshJi along with others; Untiringly careful HouseKeeping from BikashDa every single day. Over and above what strikes me is the undeterred dedication of each staff to the overall goodness of the SPHotel, likely driven by GM Mr Sanjay. We booked banquet hall on 7th July for marriage reception.Priyanka Das was our coordinator.She arranged everything so efficiently and perfectly in the way we wanted.She took our requirements, did the booking as per our convenient date, helped in food selection, decoration of the banquet hall, welcomed the guests and ensured that every moment was awesomely enjoyed by everyone invited by us.
