Hotel rooms are below average with basic amenities and the washroom is extremely tiny. The surrounding area is not highly recommended to stay as I felt a lot of unnecessary stares and comments from the neighbourhood which made me both awkward and scared. These incidents happened in daytime as well. This area is not so clean as well. However hotel staffs are extremely amicable and they tried to help in each single matter from relevant c-port charger managing (I remembered one of the staffs gave his own charger for a full day even), searching quality bindiya or even finding a money exchange outlet nearby.

Response from Sudeep Das Gupta, General Manager at Hotel Crestwood
Responded 11 Jun 2021
The guest budget was very very low and could not afford superior rooms. The people from this particular place always comment like this but a few days before their stay even european people stayed in that room and very happy. Free word you can use every time in hotel is not possible.

Came upon this hotel on the internet while searching for hotels in Kolkata. What I liked about this hotel is its location. It is very conveniently located. Park Street market is at a walking distance. New Market too is a 5 mins distance in auto. Birla Planetarium too is very near to this property. One can just easily take a walk to the market areas and pass time doing shopping or just simply roaming around. This hotel had all the facilities that a traveller (both leisure and corporate / business) would look for. Free Wi-Fi was available at the hotel and at blazing fast speed.
Thanks to the General Manager there Mr. Sudip Kumar Das, I even got a very good package for my stay in this hotel. He was very helpful too. I really enjoyed my stay in this property.

I have no habit of writing hotel review but I often visited places on official or personal tour.During my visit to some other places I always go through hotel review , it is really very beneficial for other persons. So, I morally decided to write something which i would like share with others who are also in position to select the hotel before their departure.
Due to on going mining conference and England India Test our all company hotel has no vacancy as my tour was suddenly fixed. I have to select my hotel at my own. During my search I got crest wood,Kolkatta.M.Mitter Road which was fall within my budget of 4500/per night.
I arrived hotel on 02 December 12.to my utter surprise I never believe that the hotel charges (for modified plan )should be such an exorbitant. amount. What I got i just brief you shortly.
1. Staff special General MANAGER Rais Ahmed is a nice fellow. He booked my room without any advance payment .Other staff are as usual. The only canteen boy Sri Basid is good enough with his limited capacity.
2. Cleanliness: Room is quiet clean, but repeatedly have to ask reception for toiletries, room problem. My AC remote is not working,Till my departure no has attended the problem ,I have to pass my time at a constant fixed temp of 18 deg C.Think about this .
3.Room Size: very small , no sofa, just one laptop table, one mini freeze, tea coffee maker(materials are payable) and one double bed only, small wardrobe with 3/4 hangers. No iron table, iron etc.
Paper provided by hotel.
Greaser at ROOM is very low power,Once hot water drained it will take much more time to get hot water again you have to wait for some time with soap foam on your body.
No bathroom chappal
No wall clock
Nor any God Photo and not even a very good scenery.
Quality of Break Fast:
Very poor.Menu: low quality paratha/puri Alu sabji, one boil egg or egg bhurgi, bread butter, banana and papaya pieces in a container.along with a cup of Tea.
No Corn flakes,no idli sambhar, dossa, rumaliya roti, biscuites etc.
Dinner:
Every day you get Rice, chappati, Tandoori ROTI,CHICKEN cuury DAL (NO FISH)
All the preparation is not good.Just you can take.
I Never suggest my friend to go this hotel if like continental like dishes and like stay stay in busy market place. At this exorbitant price one can easily stay in star rated hotel where continental dishes of various items are provided.
Internet: Wifi is provided by hotel but not satisfactory you can just browse only.
No spa centre(though a link is provided in hotel website
No fitness centre
No Swiming pool.
)Hope my reivew may do someones homework before selection of their hotel

The GM of the hotel is unprofessional he misbehaved and mis communicated with one of our corporate client.
He does not even know how to manage the bookings and unnecessarily bothered our client during his 11 nights stay.
I would ask everyone not to book this hotel at all and we would backlist this hotel from our company.
If the owner of the hotel or any senior is reading this review please take strict action against Mr. Das.

I made online booking in this hotel based on the photos but was very disappointed after visiting the hotel. Photos were very well photoshopped since they are not as par as described and showed in the photos. Rooms are small with outdated design and are not worth the price that they charge i.e around INR 3,500. Also the interesting part is the smallest Breakfast Buffet ever seen with only 1-2 dishes covering the whole buffet. I had a plan to stay for 4 days buy decided to cancel the booking after seeing the actual facilities since i found it to be be highly over prices and shifted to another hotel.

So I will not really recommend this hotel to anyone since they overcharge and there are many better options available at the same price. However it is ok if their price slashes to almost half of what they charge.

Location is good in city center but you still need a cab to go to Park Street area. It is not on Park Street. Maintenance in the rooms is poor. The mattress was super filthy. Bathroom fittings had rust on it. Not as clean and well maintained as it should be. The management needs to look into the washing and cleaning and upkeep of the mattresses.

the food in the restaurant is also not great. The chinese dish that we ordered was sweet with tomato sauce instead of soya sauce in it and it is not cheap.

No hotwater in shower. The front office person rudely said " im telling you now only that no hot water in shower " when i heard some one complain of geyser not working. pathetic food outsourced from other restaurants.

Thise who found this excellent may necer have stayed in a reasonably decent hotel!
Dirty torn towels. Cheap toilet paper.

Highly priced for this -1 * hotel.

If you expect any decent clean place to sleep thus is NOT one

Had a stay in this hotel on 17th Nov'16 while during business trip to kolkata. Hotel is centrally located. Hotel property seems ok not very much equiped with modern amenties. Staff is cooperative and friendly. GM of the hotel quite also attentive 2 guest to ensure good services.
Food is good with not much option in buffet breakfast. But Overall Comfortable Stay. Cheers !!
