I just called on their number for a booking. I wasn't aware that the property is now closed and hence not taking reservations. But that doesn't mean they will become manner-less in the interim. Hospitality is all about mannerism. The person who picked up the phone informed in a husky voice that they are closed, seemingly getting bothered by the call and literally hung up on me right away. Do you think I will ever book the property or even recommend it when they open? Horrible!
As a 5star hotel pathetic service ....reception person they don't even know how to talk to the guest and during my stay when I order my breakfast in room service they took 1hour time to serve breakfast and they forgot to send me a half of the food. One day I can understand but During my stay every day they forgot to serve half of the food...unbelievable
Why does one stay in a 5 star 🌟 property ? Its because of the facilities like spa , buffet breakfast, pool , pub and restaurant, but none of these facilities are available right now. Front desk will not inform you about the same unless you have paid , when you realize that your are trapped you will try to talk it out with the front desk and they will just tell you that they are following covid related guidelines, as if the guidelines only exist for them and not other 5 star properties like taj , marriot or oberoi. The fact being the hotel has been leased out to Taj and soon they will start renovating the property until then they are least bothered about guest satisfaction. Breakfast: will be served in your room, ours was awfully bad with burnt n chewy parathas being served, totally disappointed with the quality of food being served that too in disposables. Room: stained linen, worn out furnitures , too soft a bed not at all comfortable. The mall: access through the hotel is closed you have to enter the mall through the main entrance. Location: prime , lot of good eateries around like bhojo hari manna , theque, lazeez etc, many eateries are also present within the mall like "the orient ". Driver Accommodation: not 7 The hotel since in transition mode is understaffed that dont even have boys to help you with luggage. Its the reception guys who go out of their way to help guests with their luggage. Overall a bad experience , avoid at any cost if not you want to be trapped in the room. Not even close to a 5 star property not even a 4 at present. …

We stayed at Swissotel Kolkata in Feb 2020, just before the Covid started, and I am so glad that we chose this hotel. It was our first holiday with our 1.5 yr old infant, and we mostly chose this hotel due to the fact that it was connected to a mall and the rave reviews it had gotten. On both accounts, both of the positive reviews were spot on. They did everything possible to ensure our comfort and especially that of our baby during our stay, and the fact that the back entrance of the hotel literally opens into the City Center 2 mall was an amazing advantage. The mall has so many great stores and great options to eat, and the best part was that we could just pop back into our room to change my baby or get her anything she needed without having to carry around the usual baby bag. I cannot wait to go back to Kolkata and to stay at this hotel again, and I personally want to thank each and every staff member of the hotel who understand the importance of providing excellent service. The hotel is also new and the building is immaculate, another huge plus!!…
We stayed at your hotel for two days (08 March & 13 March). We just wanted to say that our stay at Swisshotel was comfortable. Its proximity to Kolkata airport, several malls and good restaurants is a plus point. We enjoyed the ambience of the breakfast room and the variety of choices of food. The highlight of our stay was the service that we got from the laundry manager Mr Prashant Kumar. We had an unusual request to get table napkins stitched professionally, and Mr Prashant understood exactly what we wanted, and delivered that within one day, at no cost. The front desk staff (including Mr Chirag and the Duty Manager) were extremely polite and helpful. We have never experienced such wonderful service before. We also used the airport pick up and drop off, along with a day car rental with the driver Mr Shekhar Kayal who was very helpful. One drawback is there are mosquitoes in the front lobby! Thank you!…
I spent overnight in Kolkata during the cover-19 pandemic and found very attentive and caring personnel. They arranged minimum services since india was under lockdown, therefore very appreciable. Many thanks
For the price it was only okay as it isn’t a cheap hotel. Also spent a long time flicking through channels that didn’t work as they were not subscribed but for the money paid, I would expect to have channels that I can actually to watch. The food was very expensive and average. Not a bad hotel but the price is high.
Swissotel, Kolkata has indeed become our "Sweet-otel"!!! Always an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to be back here... And for as long as it continues to exude the genuine warmth, we will keep returning back here again and again and again... Under Mr. Solomon, the hotel feels much more guest friendly, and has regained the x-factor which had initially drawn us to it... First and foremost, we were greeted into our "second home" with two extremely pretty, vibrant and ever smiling young ladies namely Miss Rupsa and Miss Fatima... They so lovingly and with utter friendliness, do full justice to the job they have been assigned with... The entire team from the Front Desk and security namely Mr. Subhankar Junior, Mr. Sankhadeep and Mr. Shreshth deserve a BIG PRAISE for their tireless efforts and again, for making us feel so at home with their warmth filled gestures... The LOUNGE AREA of Swissotel, Kolkata has forever been both mine and my husband's "THE FAVOURITE CHILLING OUT SPOT" mainly for two reasons... Firstly, because of the cozy atmosphere and secondly and more importantly, for the SUPER GREAT SERVICE provided by the Lounge Staffs... They are always so attentive to your needs and they ensure that you leave that place with a happy heart and with big smile on your faces... Our deepest gratitude to Miss Arti and Miss Shriti for their positive vibes and their friendly services... The service provided by the HOUSEKEEPING DEPARTMENT is ALWAYS very vital to me in whichever hotel I go, as I am suffering from a serious chronic painful disease, and am extremely prone to infections... Under the guidance of Mr. Rohan, the room was made with absolute importance given to hygiene and few of my specified particular needs... A HUGE THANKS to him for his efficiency and warm nature... The one and only department in which the hotel still lacks in is its F&B... Still not up to mark, at least to our taste buds... Lacks the required punch that would do justice to the hotels high ratings overall... Last, but definitely not the least, A BIG THUMBS UP to all the other departments... And as always, BIG BIG BIG HEARTFELT AND UTMOST LOVING THANKS to Mr. Prabal for taking such excellent care of us during every single visit of ours... Swissotel, Kolkata will forever and ever continue to remain our "Second Home" in Kolkata purely because of Mr. Prabal and the privileges we get there under his guidance...…
Had been there, for women's day brunch. The spread was extensive, taking care to include all relevant items ,a nice collection of cheese was in offing!! The dessert section caught our attention ,as it paid attention to the occasion in details.Suryadeep took great care of us, as he made sure we were very comfortable there at Cafe Swiss. An experience truly great!!!
