Treebo Trend Glorious Rim Rocks is an independent recently constructed modern property. The hotel is located on the main road and is well suited for all types of travellers, whether it’s a family trip, for medical reasons, for work, or for leisure. It comes armed with facilities that include 2 banquet halls, a buffet-style complimentary breakfast that serves North Indian cuisine with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The hotel also has designated parking space in the basement which can accommodate 4 two-wheelers and 4 four-wheelers, security, room service, free Wifi, laundry services via a third party that is chargeable, and iron boards are available on request. The property spans 7 floors and has 30 rooms in total. The rooms are categorized into either Standard or Oak rooms or Deluxe Rooms and come with several amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The Kalighat Metro station is also only at a distance of about 7 km from the hotel. Besides major modes of transport, the hotel is also close to several offices, tourist attractions, and restaurants. A few of the offices close to the hotel are J.K. Cement (1.5 km), Ola Cabs Corporate Office (5.5 km), Tata Motors Regional Office (5.5 km), and Total Consultants (500m). The tourist attractions nearby include Science City (1.4 km), Birla Planetarium (5. 7 km), Victoria Memorial (8.8 km), Eden Garden (10 km), and Fort William (10 km). We stayed here for 2 nights and then again for 1 night. The location was perfect for our travels around Kolkata and Sundarbans. It’s right next to roshan garden event venue which absolutely made our NYE as we had no plans and ended up going to the social 2020 party there. The hotel staff were generous and very accommodating and very polite. Well worth the money spent.

I enjoyed my stay here. The building seems quite new. The room was spacious and clean. Aircon was good on a hot sultry night. Nice hot shower with a shower cubicle. The building leans a bit (very noticeable on the stairs) and the shower cubicle sliding glass door keeps sliding open as a result. Tight squeeze to get to the toilet as the door has to be fully opened to get past the sink. Very clean throughout. Bed and pillows were comfy enough. Good selection of toileteries provided. Lift was fine. Service was generally excellent. Reception called me an Uber on two occasions. There was some sort of Bank convention on the day I was there and the staff were quite distracted by demands by that group, some discussions/arguments went on at length while I waited for service. Check-in at 2am was quite painless though it was hard to tell where the entrance was with the metal gates closed. Finding the hotel was a bit of a challenge. The cab driver was a bit lost and I had to direct him using google maps. and I'm glad I downloaded google maps before leaving as I had no sim card yet. Checkout was also painless and quick. I checked out early to catch a train and the receipt has to be emailed to me for some reason. The breakfast room was a bit dodgy as there was no tables vacant (due to the banking group maybe) and I had to sit on a chair with the plate in my lap. Not crazy about that! No one as there to direct me to the buffet or inform about procedures either. The vermicilli uppama was amazing! It was an Indian vegetarian selection, not bad, idlis, chola bhatura etc. Tea and coffee in thin, tiny paper cups, poured from flasks was also not a great experience. In fact I didn't bother. No juice. The location was a bit far from pretty much anything. There's no shops in the immediate vicinity. But I enjoyed the peace and quiet, and took an uber to go into town. The hotel room is comfortable with clean bathroom, however, the food is below average. The options available for food are limited. The room service staff is highly non-cooperative and won't provide you a simple thing as a spoon or cup during dinner in spite of multiple requests. Don't know if language was barrier or what.
