i would definitely recommend staying here .location is great short walk to park st sudder st museum etc. Security is excellent the water is hot and wi fi in my room was very good . Staff will do all they can to make your stay comfortable. Oh and an amazing old elevator .

I don't think there are volunteers there only hotel staff. However, you can meet people on the rooftop or the floor below which has a few couches, arm chairs, a bathroom, tables and tv. Given that these two locations are a the top of the hotel, it's not a like hostel which the main meeting room is near the front door.

I was never locked out at any hour. The elevator man was always around.
