I stayed at the JW Marriott between Feb 04 and Feb 08. My father and mother accompanied me on this trip to visit Calcutta and also to celebrate my father's birthday. I had informed the hotel about the occasion. We were welcomed on arrival and checked in expeditiously. JW has a great property and more importantly a phenomenal team. The team was so welcoming, courteous and helpful. Every member of the hotel staff we encountered were great and here are a few teams that I would like to call out: Lounge --- Payel Sengupta and her colleagues were phenomenal. We were not very happy with our room and when I had informed Payel, she made the needed calls and the arrangements to have the room swapped immediately. Payel made arrangements for a birthday cake for my father. Restaurant --- The Chef was so helpful and supportive. Wanted to know what we would like and took special care of my parents. Manoj made special dosas and south Indian food and took extra special care of my parents. They also packed South Indian food for my parents. All the restaurant staff went out of their way. Gym --- The Gym and Mens Locker room (Spa, Sauna ec) were very well maintained. Staff was always available to support our needs. Special thanks to Bishnu and Ganesh. Housekeeping ---- The Housekeeping team was very courteous and helpful. They were able to clean based on our schedule and were always available. The Guest Relations Manager (Soumika) went out of her way to make sure we were taken care off. The rooms were nice, spacious and clean. The food in the restaurants were phenomenal. The Lounge was well equipped and staffed with a great team. All-in-All we had a memorable stay. My parents thoroughly enjoyed the stay at JW and are looking forward to visiting JW again. …
