Took my parents and sister to Darjeeling for a 2 night stay and choosing Viceroy was a perfect decision. Beyond the prime location of the beautiful hotel and amazing decor, was the staff behaviour. People were very cordial and knew very well how to delight parents and youngsters. Good food served with utmost hospitality was a delight. I strongly recommend staying at Viceroy when at Darjeeling when with family. Thank you to the staff at Viceroy for hosting us so well. Regards Salman

This was supposed to be our 1st vacation post covid and thanks to the courteous and extremely professional staff at Viceroy we had a wonderful stay . Mr Sen and his full team will ensure every need is taken care of . The. Staff at reception is also very polite and responsive. Definitely recommend Viceroy ! Upvote for the scrumptious buffet and the rooftop deck, central location of the hotel . Downside : the rooms are not very spacious ( we couldnt get the atelier rooms )

Spent an entire week at Viceroy earlier this month. Let me first state that the 5 stars are for the location and the best tasting food and amazing restaurant team led by Mr Arindam Sen. The location of this hotel is fantastic and most places are an east walk especially in the cool weather. There are several stairs up to the reception and elevator level but that’s a good exercise, unless someone has mobility issues. We arranged a pickup from the hotel and the driver and vehicle was clean and nice. We had breakfast and dinner included in our package and I must say the food taste and quality was the best we had in our 16 day long vacation covering other hotels. Every day we looked forward to a nice, tasty, homely and satisfying meal. The dinner items varied everyday which was great. Mr Arindam Sen personally greeted us and made calls to check if he felt we were late and might miss the food. Infact the entire restaurant team under him was so caring and prompt in service that we always felt at home. Thank so much for the hospitality! The only department where we were not satisfied is housekeeping. We were in a balcony room 505 and the balcony was never cleaned in the entire 7 days. In general the room cleaning was a hit and miss with something or the other forgotten everyday. I hope they can improve this with proper training and checklists etc. I certainly recommend a stay at this lovely hotel.

The experience here is very bad. Hospitality is not good. In morning food manager Mr. Sharma asked me to change my clothes as I was wearing shorts here And told me that I would not give you plates in evening if you come in same clothes. And even they do mention a dress code :- smart casual with no other specifications. I don't think who is the management of a hotel to decide what should I wear or not. Plus a waiter told me "what if i come in undergarments and serve you.. how would you feel" As a lady I do not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to come in peace Even they have a very strict breakfast rule that they would serve after time.

Viceroy is a decent 3 star hotel, with all basic amenities except the wifi didn't work in my room at all. However, lobby's wifi worked perfectly. Hotel's location is excellent, not far from the main mall area. The best asset of the hotel is it's food and the dining room staff under the leadership of Mr. Arindam Sen. He personally managed the dining hall staff, food and the guests. And he prepared a new dish every day. His dedication to his work is exemplary. If I ever visit Darjeeling again, will stay again because of him.
