The property is located on the Mahakal Market side exit of the Mall. Just 2 mins casual walk from the mail mall. The Mahakal temple entrance is opposite to the hotel entrance, so you would have a nice time early in the morning just to wake up, shower and offer puja at the Mahakal temple, post which you can return and have breakfast. Its like a temple next door.

The hotel only have 6 rooms, well furnish with wooden floor. Bathroom is quite big and fitted with 24X7 Geyser water supply. Very rarely there is a power cut but the property has its own generator.

Food is good but with limited choice. However, the chef can tailor made the dish you want. The rooms are quite big with beautiful view. If you are expecting a 3star / 4 star property type welcome and service then you will be utterly disappointed. However, if you feel that its your bungalow in some outstation you will enjoy the stay.

Specially suited for couples and people who love serenity.

One drawback:
You have to be drop off from the vehicle far off and that you have to call the hotel 10 mins earlier. They would send a porter to carry your luggage. Although they pay for the amount (Rs 50) and tip of min Rs 50 is also appreciated as you will feel pity for the porter who would carry your luggage to the hotel and its almost 500m to 800m hill climb.

For elderly of disabled you might want to have a second thought to choose this property, my personal opinion, I loved this property and would recommended to explore if you want to be in serendipity.

After going through several kinds of research and the review we finally decided to book this Resort Central Gleneagles. Which is situated at the Chowrasta the Mall which is the famous landmark and the most happening place of Darjeeling. We booked their executive club room. The best part of this room is that it has an attached balcony. The room is fully wooden furnishing including the floor, ceiling and walls. The resort has all the modern amenities in the rooms; mineral water, tea coffee maker, room heater, electric blanket, geyser with 24hrs hot and cold water supply, and free Wi-Fi.The room was a very neat and clean bathroom with all toiletries. The view from the room balcony is just awesome. One can enjoy the Darjeeling tea sitting on the balcony and makes you feel close to nature. If the weather is clear you can see Mt. Kanchenjunga in front of you. The staff's are friendly and always ready to help. The food is excellent! I will definitely recommend the place.

An Unmatched Centrally located Tranquil Property to spend your Holidays in a Crowded & Housefull Dajeeling. Property which you can choose for peace & calmness. We can't tell this is a Hotel. If you expect you will get the 3star& 4Star facility. Then forget it. When you will book the property keep it in your mind that you are going to stay in your own bunglow, which you have prepared for your leisure.

We have spend 4Nights from 28.12.2020 to 01.01.2021. In Room No.101. Best Rooms in this Property is 105 & 101. 103. is a Suit Room. All Rooms are view Rooms. I went Darjeeling by selfdriven own car. Parked my car at Central Heritage Hotels annex building.

For us (50+ Couple) it was a Ideal & perfect accomodation. But for my son & daughter in law (please read as for young couple) may be it will not a perfect accomdation. because of bathroom & it's accessories & choice of Food. Breakfast is with very less variety. Standard of Breakfast to be improved. As well as variety food in Dinner & Lunch also very few. But taste of food was ok in limited option. We are used to go outside for lunch & dinner due to it's limited option.

More over some maintenance is required urgently to keep the property's attraction(during our stay wall plaster came out on the floor), so guest should not feel embarrassed during their stay. After all staffs are very co-operative & cordial.

Central Heritage Management should pay much more attendance to keep the Property Attractive to the boarders (specially who are planning for long stay).

This time we have spend 4 Nights. Next time I am planning to spend more time in this property. My request to the Management, please increase the variety of food in Lunch & Dinner alongwith breakfast menu.

It is not a resort by any stretch of imagination. An old residential bungalow converted into a hotel with six or so rooms at various levels without much planning, thought or care. My Club Room with a creaky wooden floor was of decent size with a comfortable bed but the rest of the furniture was tired and needed attention. The bathroom was small, dark, dirty and smelly. Despite requests they did not even change the bulbs nor were they able to clean it properly. Friends staying in an adjacent and a lower floor smaller deluxe rooms however had larger, cleaner and brighter bathrooms. The complimentary breakfast was just about passable with a lone waiter trying to clean, serve, replenish the small buffet, taking orders for eggs, etc.

Would have given the lowest rating except that the location is great, just a few steps from the mall. And also 5/5 for the excellent service and help by Kalpana at the reception who arranged porters, airport transfers and smilingly attended to all requests.

The stay was more disappointing because I have stayed many times at the group's original and flagship hotel on Robertson Road in Darjeeling and have always enjoyed that hotel.

We stayed at the hotel and suite room belongs in a museum. It's a shame they even allow this room to be occupied.
Cons: room service lacks. Cigarette burns in blankets. Constant rain water dripping noise all night. Asked my agent to have hotel changed to their sister hotel but message was never passed on. Miss Seema never reached out. They ask for top nightly rates but service do not match the price of the room or customer service staff.
International travelers beware that they do not take international credit cards online. Food is average at best. Do not buy package with dinner. Very limited options for breakfast and dinner. Better to eat out if you like variety.

Pros: courteous staff.

I've never started at any place which felt more of a waste of money than this. We paid approx 8k+ a night which by no means gets u a very basic stay, and the disappointment began right after reaching Darjeeling when we realised that the hotel was not accessible by car. The last stretch was to be reached on foot. This is not mentioned anywhere and could be a concern if u are accompanied by old or differently abled people. Ideally, the hotel, knowing that we were expected, should have communicated where we should get dropped and sent a porter proactively but we spent 40 mins waiting on the street after a long tiring journey to be taken to the hotel. Then we were told that the 3 nights we were there for, we would need to change rooms every night as there was some confusion with our booking. The description says "luxury" but nuthin about this property gets remotely close to luxury. The curtains, upholstery, furniture all scream tacky!! It doesn't end here, from the dinner order only half the items were delivered and those too were wrong. The room mentions the breakfast time as 7, however we weren't served breakfast till 8.30 and that too after us sitting on their heads and finally receiving basic stuff. We ended up not having breakfast here the rest of the 2 days as we were getting late for our sight seeing tours. The staff is not one bit courteous and highly inexperienced and untrained. The room was not cleaned, bed not made and we were given some lame excuses. You are given 2 half litre bottles for a day between 2 people. This place is a joke!! To top it, the manager, Vikrant, tried to make a quick buck by asking us to pay 2000 for the dinner we ordered when the bill was actually just 1000. This place is a rip off!!

We booked the hotel online and unfortunately the pics shown on the net about the hotel was not true, on the net it was showing that the hotel is having a open terrace for guests to sit and relax, which is actually not there
The bed linens and the towels were strained and torn at different parts.
On the net it was never mentioned that the roof top showed is only accessible through one room only.
Moreover almost all the informations given on the net are false and the hotel is not at all worthy of the money that they are taking from guests. In Darjeeling one can get a better property within that price range or May be at a little lesser price
Although the staff behavior and service was very courteous and helpful despite of being lesser number of staff, they were serving the guest with a smile on their face and obliged us with everything we asked for

I visited Darjeeling at the end of August for a short tour with my parents, my sister who came back from Poland and I who was visiting from Canada, The service staff was prompt and provided exceptional service. This was in addition to the great location the hotel is located at, with scenic views all around, and the food quality in the restaurant was awesome as well. The aesthetic of the rooms is very old school and reminded me of the old victorian times, given it's a heritage hotel. All in all, I would recommend it to anyone.

1. Booked a room in a higher floor with mountain (Kanchenjunga) view, instead they gave us one in the ground floor facing the valley.

2. The extra cot was placed at the foot of the double bed where the mattress was shorter than its length.

3. There was power failure the whole night till morning and the generator was not switched on. As a result we could not get ready for Tiger Hill trip. When asked, hotel staff said that generator was not powered on so as not to wake up guests.

4. The cover of the commode in the bathroom did not stay upright and after repeated complaints got fixed on the last day of our stay.

5. The recreation room was in shambles and was locked from outside.

6. Each staff had their own associations with different tourist cab drivers and would individually pursue guests to take their services.

A lovely hotel for stay for family, couples and friends. They gave us a free upgrade to a suite room on our visit. The hotel is conveniently located close to the viewpoints and the Mall, and yet away from the noise of the crowd. Make sure you check the weather before you visit Darjeeling on weather apps like climacell, or you will miss the view of Kanchenjungha and sleeping buddha.
