1. Booked a room in a higher floor with mountain (Kanchenjunga) view, instead they gave us one in the ground floor facing the valley. 2. The extra cot was placed at the foot of the double bed where the mattress was shorter than its length. 3. There was power failure the whole night till morning and the generator was not switched on. As a result we could not get ready for Tiger Hill trip. When asked, hotel staff said that generator was not powered on so as not to wake up guests. 4. The cover of the commode in the bathroom did not stay upright and after repeated complaints got fixed on the last day of our stay. 5. The recreation room was in shambles and was locked from outside. 6. Each staff had their own associations with different tourist cab drivers and would individually pursue guests to take their services.

This place is simply beautiful, no words can express, view is stunning. All the rooms were mountain and valley facing. Beautiful early morning sunrise view from the rooms. Great place to walk around, with greenery all over. Amazing cool weather. Spacious rooms, good food.

The property is located on the Mahakal Market side exit of the Mall. Just 2 mins casual walk from the mail mall. The Mahakal temple entrance is opposite to the hotel entrance, so you would have a nice time early in the morning just to wake up, shower and offer puja at the Mahakal temple, post which you can return and have breakfast. Its like a temple next door. The hotel only have 6 rooms, well furnish with wooden floor. Bathroom is quite big and fitted with 24X7 Geyser water supply. Very rarely there is a power cut but the property has its own generator. Food is good but with limited choice. However, the chef can tailor made the dish you want. The rooms are quite big with beautiful view. If you are expecting a 3star / 4 star property type welcome and service then you will be utterly disappointed. However, if you feel that its your bungalow in some outstation you will enjoy the stay. Specially suited for couples and people who love serenity. One drawback: You have to be drop off from the vehicle far off and that you have to call the hotel 10 mins earlier. They would send a porter to carry your luggage. Although they pay for the amount (Rs 50) and tip of min Rs 50 is also appreciated as you will feel pity for the porter who would carry your luggage to the hotel and its almost 500m to 800m hill climb. For elderly of disabled you might want to have a second thought to choose this property, my personal opinion, I loved this property and would recommended to explore if you want to be in serendipity.

After going through several kinds of research and the review we finally decided to book this Resort Central Gleneagles. Which is situated at the Chowrasta the Mall which is the famous landmark and the most happening place of Darjeeling. We booked their executive club room. The best part of this room is that it has an attached balcony. The room is fully wooden furnishing including the floor, ceiling and walls. The resort has all the modern amenities in the rooms; mineral water, tea coffee maker, room heater, electric blanket, geyser with 24hrs hot and cold water supply, and free Wi-Fi.The room was a very neat and clean bathroom with all toiletries. The view from the room balcony is just awesome. One can enjoy the Darjeeling tea sitting on the balcony and makes you feel close to nature. If the weather is clear you can see Mt. Kanchenjunga in front of you. The staff's are friendly and always ready to help. The food is excellent! I will definitely recommend the place.

I was highly recommended to stay here by my cousin. And I am so glad that I chose this hotel. It is the quieter side of the Mall with magnificent view of the mountains and the valley. Each day is a wow experience with the breadth taking views. Walk around the Mall is a beautiful nature walk with no pollution, it’s truly heaven on earth. Food is good and staff too are friendly.

I don't have words to describe my stay. Soulful would be the word I think.. I really needed some time away with family after the last 15 months of anxiety and corona. It was blissful the stay, location, hospitality and the feel of the place. Will come again for sure.

We reached at 9pm, and till 10.30 pm, kept finding this hotel. There is no parking and no driveway, so be careful if you are driving the hills. Also the lane is dark and you have to walk to the hotel, which is fine if we knew about it. We had to find our own parking, and Thanks to the Cops of Darjeeling, who navigated us, I admit that I have never seen more friendlier and assistive Police in my life. To begin with, the staff is unreachable, then after calling several googled number, the Manager called back from his personal number, thats a big favour. The staff is friendly, yet demotivated to please a guest. Enter the room, well its moist and the smell from the carpet rules over you. The sheets and pillows are old and soggy. The Tea Coffee Caddy is well appointed, but the rats ate a packet of sugar, and the Manager, well more like a caretaker admits there are Rats who frequent, so our night was more like on guard if something crept on us. The pics of the rooms and Bathrooms are unfair. The bathrooms are old, stands rusted, and faucets not functional. The amenities are cheap and not experiential. Overall not a very happy experience staying in the Legendary Mr. Rusi Mody's Holiday Home. I did expect this home to be a lot more of History and an Experience. The Glass House is not functional, the pic looks awesome. I wish the owners would make this property like how the past owners had maintained it and ,make us all a part of the history of this property

I stayed here with my friends for 3 days 4 nights in Feb 2021. It was a beautiful and well decorated property located in the heart of Mall Road. Peaceful. Quiet. Silent. Beautiful view from the window of snow clad mountains. Kanchenjunga can be seen from every room. We could take a cup of tea and just stand at the window chit chatting with friends is just awesome experience. They have planted many flowering plants in the property which makes it look nice. They have a Glass TT room & small terrace garden too. Staffs are courteous, well-behaved and professional. Very good services. It was a beautiful experience.
