The Heritage hotel is located right on the Mall. So it can't get better than this. You can wake up and within a 2 min walk, you can be at Keventers or Glenarys. The hotel rooms are heritage-style and they come with wooden floors. Winters can be cold - but the hotel will provide you with room heaters (chargeable). Their are fireplaces also and you can light them up with a small fee. Breakfast is decent and the front desk would also assist you with taxi bookings etc. Overall - highly recommend because of the location.

Pros: The location is very convenient: It is just below Glenary’s and a quick climb leads you to the Mall. The premium room offers a partial view of the mountains Khumbhakarna and Kabru, but not Kanchenjunga, which is hidden behind the Rangmanch building. The staff is polite and helpful, especially Mr Diwakar Rana. Chargeable car pickup and drop is arranged by the hotel. Room and toilet are clean, and bedding is reasonably comfortable, but there’s no electric bed warmer (May be necessary for winter). Hot water is available in the tap for a limited duration both by morning and evening. Water pressure was good. The complimentary breakfast spread has reasonable variety but could have been better in terms of quality. The reception lounge is charming due to its quaintness and a translucent roof, and there’s a house pianist at the bar by evening.
Cons: There’s a lift, but there are lots of steps in between, so it’s not a universally accessible building. The Annexe is across a road, so reaching the main reception, restaurant, or bar during rain requires an umbrella, but it’s only a short walk. The lane does generate quite a bit of traffic noise. The restaurant food is overpriced, and the lower level seating is stuffy. The upper level bar seating feels more open and spacious. Considering the price, room amenities are below par. There’s no luggage stand for suitcases, no slippers, no coat hangers, no face towel, no hand wash or bar of soap. Only a body wash and a moisturiser, and half a litre of drinking water per person, along with sachets of tea and coffee is provided. The electric kettle was broken, but could heat water. The toilet has no ventilator or exhaust. Room cleaning is done regularly, but at very odd hours (1 to 4 pm), so if you want a post-lunch siesta then it is very inconvenient. Room decor is outdated and average, but nothing heritage about the decor. All room lights are white! The lack of warm lights seriously hampers the ambience. There’s a square column right in the middle of the premium room, near the left leg of the double bed. Sometimes there’s a stench if you open the windows.
Conclusion: May be recommended, if only for its convenient location, and polite staff.

The Central Heritage is running business in name of ITC GROUP. Formerly it was ITC RESORT AND SPA. We got the Executive Class room with the best mountain view. The charges are quite high per day 7.5 k but the room doesn't worth that huge amount of charge. The washroom is pathetic with respect to water flushing and geyser issues. Staffs are quite well-mannered. They were very courteous during our stay. Food is excellent. Breakfast is also good one. Mr. Dewakar Rana ia very helpful. He helped us in all means. He tried his best to give us best services. The biggest issue is the maintenance like Wifi , washroom water sewage issues. At the last I must recommend to contact Mr. Rana. if u want to go there. Always go for Executive Class room or Heritage Club King Room. Best view is from Executive Class room. Room no 310, not from other rooms. Location is best. 2 mins walk from Keventers and Glenarys 4 mins walk.

This is among the oldest hotel in Darjeeling but is most pathetic hotels. They literally offer you rooms in an under construction building if you are booking it online through any portal.
We literally had to fight with the management and pay 1500 per night extra for a club room which is there in actual building, but that too doesn’t deserve such a huge costs.
First set of pics is their under construction building followed by club room

The hotel doesn't deserve to be called a luxury hotel and the photo of the superior room doesn't match with the actual room. The room we have been allotted is shabbily furnished, service is not great as you have to keep calling for everything. Phones are not always answered. They don't even keep a face towel in the bathroom, and after asking for it, they sent ONE face towel for two guests! There were two rundown/ kidsize chairs, one shabby table, a stool with a torn seat in front of the dressing mirror. The walls aren't wooden as in the photos. The toilet seat doesn't stay up and their staff actually told us toilet seats are like this only! This is the first day of our 4 day stay and we're already regretting this decision so much. The wi-fi too is bad. Advise people to avoid this hotel. Or come with zero expectations. For the amount of money they're charging, this is a plain rip-off.
And yes, the hotel staff doesn't wear masks!

After the year of pandemic lockdown, a visit to Darjeeling was much awaited. So we planned accordingly to visit Darjeeling and choose to stay at Central Heritage Resort & Spa. The hotel is completed sanitized, hygienic and very safe as they have taken all the major safety precautions for guest comfort and safety. We had booked two club rooms, the rooms were very clean, really big and spacious with a fireplace. During the cold winter night, we opted for a log fire that kept our room very warm. The buffet breakfast was excellent, the food was good and delicious, the staff here are very polite and always ready to help with a smile on their face. Overall we had a great stay and the hotel staff made our stay more comfortable and memorable. We would love to visit again...

When I went into the Central Heritage Hotel I hardly knew the surprise I was in for. Right from the check-in to the check-out me & my wife had a wonderful time together.
John the front office manager was extremely understanding & gave us an upgraded room. He also hooked us with complimentary breakfasts.
Bijoy from the housekeeping/room service department was extremely polite & helped us whenever we called upon him.
During the 3 nights we stayed there we interacted with several employees of the property & noticed one commonality among them. They are exceptionally good servicemen/women holding the ethos of Central Heritage Hotel strong.
Definitely a no brainer when choosing a heritage property to stay at when you are at Darjeeling

Good hotel with lovely rooms and all amenities as one would ask for,in the hotel as well as in the rooms.
They have a good spa, children's park.
I simply loved their Sunset bar and lounge facing the mountains, every evening they had live piano playing, really added to their charm.
Room is spacious and modern. They 24 hours hot water supply, individual geyser in the bathrooms.
Location was superb, staff was co-operative and good food was available.

Very bad experience with this hotel, never recommend anyone to stay here. we alongwith my entire family group stayed there in December'21. we had booked 7 rooms almost 2 to 3 months ago by paying advance.

once we reached there we surprised with there behavior, they provided 4 rooms in main hotel and 3 room in next building across the road called Annexe building. the Annexe building room was dirty and under construction, paint warnish smell and construction material clearly visible once you visit your floor room.

we strongly argue with the front desk and kolkata booking office, they clearly said that they unable to do anything we have to manage there.

in our group of around 15-16 people, we have senior person plus 1 year child also. we don't have any option. we had argued them atleast 30 to 45 minutes and all of our family member waiting at there lobby during december chiller weather.

after lots of argument they agree to arrange all the room at same hotel. latter on we understand that this is the hotel regular strategy to send the guest in annexe building and keep the room vacant in main building for running customer.

the hotel service was also very bad, they will not pickup the phone regularly. whenever we visited the front desk we found that one guest always complaining for something.

the worst is that in entire 3 days of our stay after repeated reminders they not bothered to change the line atleast one time.

so don't go on website photo and take care while booking this hotel.

I’ve been to Darjeeling many times and this resort has been the best pick
Pros:
1.Mall is just a stone throw away. It shows 5mins on map but takes 2 mins via a shortcut
2. Managers and staffs are extremely helpful. We were upgraded to a higher category room at the same cost for better comfort.
3. I was unwell, they provided heater immediately and also offered extra blankets
4. Food quality is very good, even better than outside restaurants. Their cheese sandwich and tea is a must try!
5. Breathtaking views from the seating area
6. I’m usually very fussy about hygiene while choosing accommodations, this resort is perfect in this aspect as well. Bed linens, towels, rooms, washrooms etc are neat and clean.
7. Room service is very prompt
8. Resort is accessible by cab, convenient for elders and children

Cons:
No cons that I could find 😅

Looks even better than the pictures!
