Little Tibet Resort is located opposite Governors House on the Mall which is on the posh VIP promenade of Darjeeling town. Our resort is a Tibetan themed and has very characteristic resemblance to that of a Tibetan home. It has all modern facility and comfort level to that of a 4 star hotel.

We have booked two rooms (one deluxe and one executive room) at this hotel for 3 nights but we checked out from here next day only. Except view of the Hotel from terrace balcony rest of the things are horrible which includes services, rooms, restaurant and staff are also too rude. Following are issues which we have faced and images & videos are self explanatory : 1. We have booked rooms from travel agent, hotel room tariff here is Rs 5500 for deluxe room and Rs 6500 for Executive room and they have charged us at rate of approx 7500 +++ per room per night and believe me nothing is at here is to justify this rates. 2. At the time of booking We have been told that buffet dinner will be served but after check in one hotel staff came and handover one printed copy of menu where few items were mentioned and asked to choose and they shall serve food in our room. However, we went to restaurant and ordered food from thier menu, they took almost more then 30 mins to serve a food and they also forgot few items to serve which we have ordered. Reason they gave for serving food late is that there were some party was going on, my kids were hungry and I have requested to serve food as soon as possible but staff bluntly replied that it will take time and you have to wait., Reason they gave us for not providing buffet dinner is that they don't have occupancy to serve buffet. 3. Rooms were smell of moisture, we have informed receptionist, she said its hill station so its but obvious... So i am saying Then why other hotel rooms are not stinking and smell of moisture. 4. Bathroom lock was not fixed properly you can see in video. 5. In tap water coming out was very slowly and shower was also not working, you can see the video as well. 6. In executive room there were sharp aluminum section was open near bed and besides wardrobe at floor level which can harm any kid,you can see the image here. 7. Property and rooms needs maintenance. 8. Food was also average in taste. 9. Carpet and iron board was also not cleaned.. 10. When i said i want to check out now due to all these issues, no one was even bother to see and understand that. This was the genuine feedback which i am posting herewith, i hope it shall reach to management and they improve to grow the business.

We were three couples and a kid of 12 years. This was atleast my 12th visit to Darjeeling. We booked this hotel as all other places where we usually stay were fully booked. Expecting hot water at Little Tibet is like a luxury. You have to beg the reception to switch on the boiler. Flushes in the washroom doesn't work properly along with clogged basins. You will have flies in the room and if you ask for insect repellent in the reception you will be straight away asked to buy from the market. We were forced to take buffet dinner for the second day as the hotel was completely booked. They clearly said they will not prepare ala carte for 3 of our rooms . Front office staffs are extremely uncourteous and rude. Only positive point of this place is the prime location. We will never ever stay again in this property.

Excellent location. Walking from the Mall Road. Staff very helpful and courteous, made our stay comfortable. We requested them to provide us room on the ground floor and they actually acceded to our request. Very clean room and washroom. We also ordered food from the restaurant, the staff went the extra mile to prepare dinner for us even after the last time to order food had surpassed. Had a great conversation with Mr. Ashish and hopefully changed his views about people from Delhi :D

Walking distance from the Mall. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean. We did not have any problem with water. Food - not much choice. We mostly had food outside as choice were mind blogging .

Vicinity - Close to the Mall Road, Comfort - Just ok, Resources - Bad. I stayed for two nights. Each morning would get up with no water in the basin, flush and for the bath. Would be tired of calling the reception to fix it. The water would start coming after a certain time. While Shadab the Manager was courteous, the staff in the restaurant were just ok. The hotel sent me a driver to the airport for pickup who was extremely disrespectful and did not want to help with the bags either. In all - If I were to suggest someone about this place - Little Tibet - I would say stay your own risk.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my parents n in laws plus my immediate family. We took 3 rooms on CP plan. 4 guests were above 70 yrs. The request for at least 1 room on ground floor was not honoured.. The hotel is named as a resort just because of a tiny artificial lawn… no other features were available. There are at least 3 better boutique resorts available with superior views and facilities very very near to this resort and towards the Observatory hill view point - RJ Resort, Oakdene Resort in same category. Now before going in to the pros, first of all it’s important to know the flaws / cons of this hotel as some people may not read the full review and only go by the good points/Pros of the place… Cons 1. All rooms have artificial lawn views and view from the lawn is ok n you can see some other construction sites. No great views 2. Highly business minded team - doesn’t care for guest comfort. E.g. they would charge you extra 500/- per day per room even in extreme winters. The requests for a free room heater for the rooms with old people were not met with. 3. Hot water is not readily available and you will have to call n inform the reception every time you need. 4.Poor housekeeping - dirts n stains on the corridor to the rooms , linen are not cleaned. 5. Hair dryer was not available in one of the room though was commited 6. Restaurant food was bad n very highly priced - portions small. 6. Staff named Shadab runs a parallel business for car hire which would cost you dear by at least 1200 -1500 compared to market. Pros 1. Location - near to the Mall (10mins walk), near to Observatory hill view point for you to see the Mt. Kanchenjunga (2-3mins walk) 2. Breakfast was ala carte (for CP plan) .though not much options. Fruits n fresh juices not available. But Aaloo paratha ( no curd), Puri Sabzi, coffee served were good.

Checked in after prebooking 15 days before but reception person says no booking on arrival, kept me and my family waiting for about 20 minutes after which they realised it was miscommunication from their side. Geyser will be switched on,only when you request to reception by phone,or you will get cold water only. They have very good feedback in TripAdvisor as they offer gifts to guests who give good reviews. I have no complaints regarding rooms, food and ambience....it's nice

I have been hearing about this property fir quite sometime now, finally able to been there from December 9th 2021 till December 12th 2021 They auto upgraded my room, which I definitely liked. Rooms are clean, airy and spacious. Staff are friendly and cordial and wearing mask. My room tariff included breakfast, and I must say, its a compact breakfast, and not reoeatation of sane food. Good food.only wished they could replace Tea coffee vending machine and get a proper coffee machine. Overall Rating. 4.5/5
