Summer Palace Hotel in Darjeeling is the ideal budget hotel. First of all, they offer accommodation and food at unbeatable prices. During my visit with my friends, I discovered that the hotel offered food and lodging together at a very reasonable price. We were unsure whether the hotel service and food quality would be good while staying there. We checked several hotels in the same area before coming to Summer Palace. Most of the hotels in the nearby area charged much higher prices and many did not even offer food. Summer Palace's price, at first, surprised us - damm cheap. Then we asked the manager to show us the rooms and the hotel services. However, after seeing the room and talking to the manager, we felt confident that we could try it out. Our financial budget was very tight, and it was a full season for Darjeeling. In any case, we decided to stay there. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food was excellent. Non-vegetarian meal three times. The experience was more than satisfactory for us. Unbelievably the room was very nice, with wood-crafted walls and a large ground floor. From its balcony, the room offers a magnificent Kanchanjangha view. Stunned, we were. My friend joked that there was no way this hotel could offer such great service and superb rooms for such a cheap price unless the owner had black money. This has been our most enjoyable trip so far.

I was looking for a great budget hotel in Darjeeling when a friend recommended this hotel. In any holiday, I make a trip to Darjeeling from my hometown, which is 500 km away. Darjeeling has been a real love of mine since I was a child. I do not expect any great luxury, but I do expect a budget hotel with all the amenities I need, and it should be clean. It is true to say that Summer Palace Hotel exceeded my expectations. Just one thousand rupees bought me three meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the same budget, they offer free services like WiFi, geysers, telecommunications, laundry, and pick-up from the bus station. I was amazed at the level of service they provide within my budget. It was a very testy meal. You have access to running water 24 hours a day. Free tea is available as often as you like. Rooms were spacious and clean. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The hotel was very affordable, but the services were excellent. The rooms were large and we had a great view of Kanchanjangha from the first floor. The fact that there are so many amenities and food and lodging included in just Rs. 999 surprised me. I was blown away by this. Due to our limited budget, it was difficult to find a hotel in Darjeeling after the Puja with only 1K each. This hotel is highly recommended for middle class Bengali tourists. If you are a Bengali, it must be your hotel. The staff is fluent in Bengali and can prepare Bengali dishes. They are friendly and helpful. Thanks

If you want to visit Darjeeling with very little budget this hotel should be your choice. Hotel is just 20 minutes away from from mall. If you want to enjoy Kanchenjunga from room and balcony Summer Palace is the best place. We took hotel packages Rs 1000 per head per day food and lodging. All the food items were excellent and behavior of the staff was very helpful. I like to recommend this hotel to the travelers.

This was another overnight stay at the Queen of Hills, Darjeeling with my family. Our stay was with Darjeeling Hotel Summer Palace. Hired a vehicle from Siliguri which dropped us straight to the hotel door step. Couldn't expect anything better going by our previous experience.
The room was spacious and clean, unlike most of the Darjeeling hotels near Mall, with a balcony providing an excellent view of the Kanchenjunga as well as the city. The amenities available was standard. Decent toilet with geyser and all time running water, which is a scarcity.
The food served was very good and to all our liking. The service quality was very good and the staff were very cordial and helpful. Located in Chowk Bazar and being at a 10 to 15 minutes walking distance from the Mall this is one of the best budget category hotels in Darjeeling offering all facilities a guest requires on a vacation. Recommended by one of my acquaintance was worth listening to. You can safely plan your stay here.

Darjeeling hotel summer palace is one of the best budget hotels in Darjeeling. We got warm reception from manager Mr Milon Mondal he provides us a balcony room with grate view of Kanxhanhungh. All the staffs were well behaved and rooms were clean and bathroom was nice. All the food items was delicious and reasonable priced. I like to recommend this hotel to the travellers.

After a long time it was our family trip to Darjeeling. We were very happy with the services of Hotel Summer palace. All our rooms were specious and the view from the balcony was excellent. If you want to stay just 10 minutes walking distance from the Mall this is the best hotel. If your budget is Rs 2000 this is the best hotel in Darjeeling. I would like to thank hotel manager Mr Banarjee for his excellent service. Mr Banarjee arranged our local sightseeing. Special thanks to the cook for his Bengali food. I am very happy to say that we got 24 hours of hot water from the hotel.

One of the best budget hotels in Darjeeling near mall. All our rooms were specious . All the rooms having balcony. Hotel is just 10 minits walking distance from mall. The main advantage is car will drop you in front of hotel. All our bathrooms was clean and geyser was working properly. I like to recommend this hotel to the traveller if you budget is Rs 1800 to Rs 2000.
