I had chosen this place based on reviews on a travel website. This’s place is located in Dali a little away from city center but you get frequent share taxi to city center. The place and the room was fantastic. The best part of this resort is the hospitality of the staff, the best I have ever seen. All the concerns were resolved so quickly. The food was served super hot and served in parts so that our doesn’t get cold. The temperature during my stay was 6 Celsius. There were bed warmers provided and also room heater (extra nominal cost). Enjoyed my stay here.
Is a tiny little hotel, but so big on service, attention to details, comfort, every thing… that one can have a really superb Darjeeling experience. Arcadia Heritage resort totally lived up to its the raving reviews I had read here, before I booked. Firstly Mr Ravi interacted with me even before the trip, like I was the special guest, and that is such a precious feeling in today’s world. When we arrived, and I found that Mr Ravi was away on vacation, but Mr Shiva rose to the occasion, and made sure that our every comfort was looked into, and that we had the most fabulous stay in every way. Noteworthy were the following: - comfort: rooms were large spacious, had everything we needed; beds were super super comfortable, including heated blankets - service: all staff are extremely helpful and courteous, with your comfort as their priority. - cleanliness: I loved their high standards of cleanliness - payment and responses: these were absolutely top notch! We could pay with international credit cards, and responses from Mr Ravi were very timely. - a big advantage was their in-house kitchen, which provided us our breakfasts and dinners exactly as we specified we wanted. This was esp good, since if we felt we didn’t want to step out at night, we didn’t have to. - saving the best for the last: the views from every room most likely are simply AMAZING!! I’d probably bet there is no famous hotel that can beat the views from Arcadia! We had a simply amazing time, and I’d recommend Arcadia to anyone!…
This hotel deserves a five star review. Went there seeing the good ratings on tripadvisor and turned out exactly the same. Took three rooms( 1 premium, 1 deluxe, 1 family room) as we were three families with small children, the youngest one being 9 months old. It has seven rooms, all having good views of kanchenjunga( premium rooms offering the best view). Rooms are quite big and spacious ( my 2 year old literally ran around) with a nice attached balcony and a comfy king size bed. Food is cooked to perfection and tasted awesome whatever we ordered. Breakfast could have little more options but good nonetheless. Its situated near dali monastery little far from mall (about 3 kms) .. but there are shared vehicles available from just a little walk from hotel. The manager Mr Ravi is super helpful and a nice guy.. all staffs make you feel at home and always wore a smile on their faces. The best darjeeling hotel i have stayed in.. definitely. Note - Its a difficult walk to get to the hotel for elderly people as the location is in a steep incline and some cars refuse to climb all the way to hotel because of the same. …
The staff are very courteous and the chef is excellent, he will cook to your specifications of spice for lunch and dinner. At breakfast if the crowd is more they are not able to handle, so go early for breakfast. The approach road to the resort is very steep and narrow, so some drivers will find it difficult to drive up, and also, it is a task to walk to the resort from the main road. The view from the room is excellent, you wake up to see the Kanchenjunga and have hot Darjeeling tea with the great mountain. It is truly a wonderful feeling, cold breeze and hot tea. My photos are not modified, the orange sky is sunrise and purple sky is sunset. And view of the cute train from the walk along the property.
We took a double bed room and it has a Good view from window, hospitable, easy accomodation, good staff and food and has an amazing game room with a plethora of books. Loved every thing and every little thing
Had a wonderful stay ...this place is indeed worth staying ... All the rooms are " genuinely " mountain view... wonderful Breakfast spread ...spl mention for Mr Ravi ..the hotel manager ...tried his best to cater to all our needs with a smile on his face .
Very good atmosphere with friendly behaviour and good delicious food . Room accommodation was very good with mountain view. We got a sudden plan and found this property and luckily we are so much happy
The service provided was amazing. The staffs were so welcoming and are open to help with anything and everything within their capacity to make an amazing experience for the guests. Highly recommend this place to all my friends and family.
The host was so nice, he gave us his personal car to the airport as our driver canceled on us last minute. 10/10 recommend this place. The food was so yum here. The location is a little bit on the slope but easy to navigate.
We booked the premium mountain view room. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large window. A large portion of the Darjeeling town was visible from the room. Since we went in the monsoon season, the Kanchenzhungha was not visible. Nevertheless, the room had a beautiful view. The amenities were excellent. The staff were well mannered, especially Mr. Ravi, the manager was friendly and courteous. He showed us the heritage property and the game room upstairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Cons: Food is not that great. The hotel is about 15 minutes drive from the Darjeeling city centre. Although the Dali taxistand is nearby, you can't get a direct shared taxi to The Mall. It becomes difficult to return after 7:30pm in the evening from The Mall area.
