Loved the stay at this hotel in Darjeeling. The restaurant staff of Romika and Kavita were so super helpful and caring. They made our stay excellent.

We arrived at the resort much earlier than the check-in time but the staff were very accommodating and speedily readied our two rooms and let us check in early. Reshma, the floor manager was very helpful. She gave us a lot of information about the places to visit as well as the contact number of a local taxi and tour operator.
The rooms are cosy and have heaters which we needed to use as it was still quite cold in mid-March. We had a beautiful bird’s eye view of the hill town and could just about make out the Kanchenjunga peak in the hazy distance. The bed mattresses were soft and had embedded heaters in them too. There was a large cupboard with a digital locker to keep our stuff. There was a flat screen TV with all the channels, and free wi-fi in all the rooms. We had tea from the sachets provided, made in the electric kettle provided in the room.
We had just returned from a five day Jeep trip from Sandakphu, so our first priority was to have a refreshing hot shower with the liquid soap and shampoo provided in the washrooms.
Then we went down to their restaurant ‘Sandakphu’ which was well furnished and decorated. The entire hotel has a quirky décor with old style but comfortable furniture and décor. There is a London ‘Bobby’ to greet you at the entrance. There are pictures and paintings of the Himalayas, and model locomotives of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway at various places on the showcase shelves.
At the end of our three day stay we did not want to leave, but had no choice as the entire hill town was shutting down due to the virus pandemic. Though we did not get to do much sightseeing, we had a very pleasant and relaxed stay at Summit Hermon, and would love to visit again.

We travelled as a family to Darjeeling early this November amid some trepidation considering the present circumstances. Once we reached the Summit hermon and met Ms Reshma who manages the place, all our worries were put to rest. Not only were the rooms clean, cosy and in excellent condition but we were also upgraded to a family room (much larger with an expansive view of the mountain ranges and the Kanchenjunga) free of charge. The rooms are equipped with bed heaters and there's running hot water available in the bathroom at all times. Therefore the cold should not be a worry. The hotel is a fifteen minute walk from the mall and is beautiful to look at. Even the reception area has been designed very tastefully. The staff is very courteous and helpful. All in all, it was a great stay and I would recommend the hotel to anyone planning a trip to Darjeeling.

Room no. 503 needs serious renovation -- shabby room, flaky dampened walls, stained pillow cover. Bathroom is small and having broken tiles and unmaintained accessories. On arrival to hotel no choices were given before choosing the room, when asked for. By default no shower cap given, we had to ask for. By default no slippers, newspaper and sealed bottoled water were given as advertised in the amenities. In our 3 night stay at that hotel no room service appeared by default, may be we had to ask for the same.
The location is a downside, as it is in a steep hilly road. Food was expensive, but you had to climb up and down that road if you want to have food in other good restaurants in Darjeeling. Taxi charged 250 inr to climb up that location, though the distance is less than 1KM from Kaventer. Arranging cabs from hotel 's 'travel consultant' would be a disaster, as they are charging outlandish compared to others. However, the room has a small balcony with mountain view. Overall, this hotel is not recommended compared to the tariff we payed for.

It was an excellent experience in Summit Hermon. We stayed in Room 604 (Premium Room with Balcony) and the views from the room, both from the balcony and windows, were awesome. On a clear day, you will get the views of the snow peaks and the valley below right from your balcony. Everything was neat & clean and the service was really up to the mark. The room was properly heated and hot water was available round the clock.

The location of the hotel is such that it is accessible by walking to the main market and close by to the site seeing places within Darjeeling. The hotel has beautiful wooden interior to give you the vibe of the city. It is clean and the rooms are spacious and has the best Panoramic views of Darjeeling.
As we were on our honeymoon the staff was extremely sweet to provide us with an valley view room, with a view of the snow covered Himalayas.
Most of the places could be seen through the balcony. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel a lot. Would highly recommend this place for your vacation!
I just have one small suggestion is that they should include more dishes from the local cuisine in their food menu.

It is a very nice place woth a great hospitality from entire team of SUMMIT HERMON. They had taken great effort to make our stay memorable.
Best part was at this time of covid19 they had ensured all the precautions to be followed.
After reaching the hotel they had sanitized all the luggages along with the temperature check and hand sanitization.
They had upgraded our room as complementary just the way they had promised while booking the place.
The view of KANCHENJUNGA from the room is just breath taking.
I must say it's better experience than the tiger hill. The promt responce of entire team is just commendable. I'll definitely visit this property again when I'll come back to Darjeeling.
The rooms are super cozy with all latest emenities installed.

Very warm and cosy little place up the Gandhi road with a breathtaking view. Make sure you take a room with balcony and the Ms Reshma at the front desk will be kind enough to upgrade your room in case of availability. Very neat and clean rooms with decent amenities and the staff is very nice and welcoming. Since the place is a little inside, the last 100 mtrs is a climb so it might be a little difficult for elderly people. Mall road is a walking distance of 1 km and if you are fit and fine, I would advise you to walk down for meals. However the food at this place is also nice and inexpensive. Loved my stay that I had to extend it.

We stayed here for 4 nights in room 804. It is an attic room with a terrace which opens to a spectacular view of Kanchenjunga. The hotel service team was very warm and friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. The hotel is located near Chowrasta so you can go shopping whenever you feel like.
The provided amenities included a heater/cooler, shampoos, soaps, tea/coffee maker, towels, shower caps and an amazing room service. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it.

Although this hotel is bit situated at elevation, may be you feel tired after coming from market but apart from that you will find it better in many way like cleaning, staffs, rooms and location itself is satisfactory.
You can travel all the remarkable place easily by walking only eg. Mall road, darjeeling station, mahakal temple, pagoda hills.

It's on main road. Taxi service easily available. If it's raining climate will be cool temprature will be around 20 max.
