Where do I start ...a beautiful backdrop with mountains , moon and meadows. Cosy rooms with lovely view of wild plants and flowers , butterflies & guava tea . Evenings with bonfire and banana wine ( home made by the host ) with glowing Kalimpong as a view , delicious food made from home grown Vegetables , from chicken momo to bok Choy sautéed in garlic to local pork masala - all made with so much of thought and love .

Yet to add an improvement (as a caveat to all the positives above), the place can keep provision for mineral water in addition to the spring water kept for drinking. Our city tummies bore a little brunt from the regular consumption of only spring water for 3 days (by the time, we left for the next destination of ours).

Overall, high recommendation for Auks Farm

What do you look for in a peaceful holiday is all here? Away from the crowd, close to Nature, full of panoramic views is this place. Sleep, Relax, Run, Read, Meditate, you can do everything and more than all that, if you don't want to do anything, that's the best you get here. Auks Farm, would love to come back soon.

Had visited Auks farm with a bunch of friends. It was a wonderful experience. What I really like about the place is the overall feeling of being close to nature with lot of greenery and beautiful mountains. I enjoyed the hospitality of KK and Sush, very friendly environment, some very nice food and a comfortable stay. We were also able to visit a tea garden, which was near by and another great experience.

A beautiful family owned farm, right in the lap of nature. A place where you can just sit and enjoy the amazing view and hospitality. I loved this place for its simplicity, view, passion of the owners and the weather.

Positives:
1. Fresh air, tasty food ( mostly sourced locally) and clean water (spring).
2. Genuine people
3. Great value for money
4. Clean rooms

Negatives :
I couldn't find one

This is an ideal place to just relax and enjoy the nature. If you need action, there are a few offbeat places to be seen. Would highly recommend and will go back.

Thanks to Sushmita and her family, see you someday. Thanks for looking after me and daring to start something so beautiful.

Myself and my partner stayed several nights at Auks farm in the late summer of 2016 during the final leg of our trip to India. We were made to feel most welcome by Sushmita and her husband. The food was fresh and delicious and their young helper around the property, Raj, was an absolute delight. We visited the local Tibetan monasteries and explored the local area. Though remote, we had everything we needed. The hosts even went to great lengths to return my camera, via a cousin in Perth, Australia, which I had left in the car after a rush to the airport after a landslide had blocked the road and caused delays. We wish you all the best and I am very sorry for taking over a year to leave a review!

Kindest regards,

Joe and Kara

I stayed here with my family for three glorious days and it was an exceptional experience. Our hosts Ashish and Bijaya were wonderful, and the food they prepared was seriously the best that we had during our three weeks in India. And what a relaxing place! We did nothing but chill, eat and take in the gorgeous views. Sushmita, who handled the booking, was phenomenal as well. Thanks so much Sushmita, Ashish, and Bijaya for everything - you made our stay at Auks Farm unforgettable.

I finally got the opportunity to stay at Auks Farm with my partner & it was a truly wonderful experience. The farm itself is family owned and in a village, where the people are friendly, the noise/ pollution is minimal & the view of the mountains looks like something you would see on a postcard.

Upon arrival I was greeted by the friendly staff with chai & shown around the farm and then to my room.

The room was well appointed, beautifully decorated, the linen clean & the bathroom was fully functioning (including hot water).

I was lucky enough to see lunch & dinner being cooked in the kitchen! Most of the produce we ate was grown on the farm or sourced locally and it was fresh, tasty, plentiful and made with love.

There are a number of activities available to guests & Sushmita & Ashish were very helpful. They took us on a few walks, explained the history of the farm, the dynamics of the village & also organised drivers for us to get around. It's the perfect place to relax with a good book & a cup of tea.

My interaction with the hosts was the highlight of my stay.. After dinner they joined us, we played music and we talked late in to the night about anything and absolutely everything. It's really beautiful the way the family have banded together & are so eager to share their little slice of heaven with the rest of the world.

If you are after an authentic farm getaway, Auk's farm is it. I can't wait to visit when I come back to India in January!
Thanks guys xx

Auks Farm’s tag line “A dream at a time” is very much true and after a wonderful stay, it’s like a dream come true. Lovely hosts who left their jobs at Gurgaon to return to their hometown and developed such a lovely farm with utmost care and detailed thinking. They have an honest approach to serve to ensure comfort and enjoyment of their customers. The highlight of the farm is its relaxed and serene atmosphere. Food is very fresh, tasty and homely. Rooms and toilets are clean and comfortable. Charges are very reasonable. Do buy the homemade soaps made with natural ingredients. I would look forward towards some recreational activities by hosts when I visit next which I will surely do.

We (me and my husband) stayed at Auks Farm for 2 days in this December. We came to know about this lovely place in Soreng while searching for off beat places near Darjeeling. After seeing the photos of the property we immediately decided to stay their. Called the owner Sushmita and booked it for our christmas holiday. We have hired a bike from Darjeeling to reach Soreng. One can easily go there by car also. Private or shared car facility can be arranged from the farm. After reaching there the calmness of the place took my heart. It's a lovely place right in the nature's lap. The rooms, toilets are very clean and you will get all the modern amenities in the rooms. There are four rooms. One four occupancy and others are 2 occupancy. The food is home cooked and awesome. All the vegetables are produced in their own farm. The owners are very warm and friendly. Sushmita and her husband KK never let us get bored. Their hospitality will make one to think of extending the stay. The evening bonfire, chit-chats, moonlit night, never-ending beauty of the nature was mesmerising. We wanted to stay their forever.

Nestled amidst the bountiful hills, Auks Farm is an honest, humble abode for those seeking some peace and quiet. We stayed there for 4 nights including new year s eve, and had a great time. There is this raw, rustic charm to the place which is very rejuvenating. However, all that takes a second spot when it comes to hospitality. Finger licking home cooked food with the freshest possible ingredients (farm grown veggies!!), the hosts go an extra mile to make you comfortable. There was a pottery session, bonfires on chilly winter nights, a barbecue lunch under the sun, and all of us made momos together one evening..
We’re definitely going back there, for the feel, the food, and above all the friends who care.
