The problem here is with the staff:
1) the front staff speaks little or No english (or Hindi or any othe language fr that matter other than Tamil).
2) they are pretty disinterested in offering any help or suggestions
3) there are NO female staffers, and the males staff arent exacty 'sophisticated'. My female colleague felt this place was a bit sketchy for this reason, and decided NOT to stay here.
Management: if you are reading this, please get a WOMAN in the front desk, and make the place a bit more comfortable for women travellers
Breakfast was very worst, i never had such as worst food ever,Road side ( kaiyenthi bhavans) hotels would have been better than this. TV and entertainment is worst. they said they can provide only the free channels and that too not working at all.
OYO Rooms Thiruvanmiyur, also called Seasons 4 Residences ( service apartment) is highly recommended.
Upon arriving at the hotel, I was shocked to learn that they would not allow me to check in. The lack of any valid explanation or reasonable justification for their refusal left me frustrated and bewildered. To make matters worse, despite following the proper channels and reaching out to Make My Trip for a refund, the hotel has continuously denied any form of reimbursement as stated by make my trip.
The entire experience has left me questioning the integrity of Seasons 4 Hotel Chennai Thiruvanmiyur. Their refusal to provide a refund, despite the clear guidelines set by Make My Trip, suggests a lack of honesty and professionalism. Furthermore, the unfriendly attitude displayed by the hotel staff only added to my disappointment and dissatisfaction.
I would strongly advise against booking a stay at Seasons 4 Hotel Chennai Thiruvanmiyur. Their questionable practices and lack of customer service make it clear that this is not a reliable or trustworthy establishment. I would caution anyone considering this hotel to look for alternatives that prioritize honesty, transparency, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
The moment we reached, the receptionist flatly said there was no booking. After some pleading with him to recheck he said we had booked for previous day and confused him. Then he said as of 12am they had cancelled the booking since we dint come. I pointed out to him that we made the booking only at 11pm last night and had mentioned that we would be checking in at 7am next day.
He then suspiciously asked if we were married and demanded both of our andhar cards. We gave him the same which obviously the carried same address. He then demanded proof that we were married! We told him that in my wife's andhar card marital status and name of husband is clearly given but he refused to even look at it. He himself asked to see a photo which we showed along with our kid. And then he called someone and said that a couple was not showing proof of marriage and demanding a room! And he told us he was asked not to give us a room. He clearly had a preconceived notion that we were unmarried!
Terrible place. Please don't go if u want to be treated with decency!
In addition, the rooms are dirty and lift didn't work. On requesting room service to clean, a young boy from north-east of India who was less than 12 years old came to clean the room.
PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL.
Reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly and informative.
It’s all the little things that count when travelling on a budget - this place has reliable hot water, great room size, good ac & fan, and just about to try out their offer for clothes washing 🙂
Very quiet rooms (I’d rather occasionally hear the children downstairs in their day care than constant honking as with other places on a main road)!
Brekkie was a plus, but could be improved.
