All in all value for the 1500 to 2000 per day rate incl breakfast
The pros
1) Complimentary bfast buffet is very good. Even though items are limited it hits the spot.
2) Close proximity to railway station, bus stand, restaurants (there is a food court nearby), shopping in tnagar & also kodambakkam.
3) The hotel rooms, toilets/restroom are all cleaned daily & well maintained.
4) We ordered 1 tea from room service & got enough for 3 ppl.
The cons
1) Though they have centralized A/c It didnt have as much cooling effect as individual room A/c. When we told them they came & checked & asked us to give it some time & then it will cool the room. Even at maximum A/c for maximum time it never brought us to the shivering point.
2) The TV remote did not behave properly. If you press SWITCH OFF it will MUTE. If you flip through channels quickly it will bring the MENU functionality where you adjust all the individual settings of the TV. It is a nightmare figuring out how the remote works or does not work. The cover for the remote is very cheap & we couldnt click properly with the cover on. Luckily we were quite busy with outside work & could manage with whatever limited functionality available in the remote.
3) The wardrobe n the room we stayed was not warnished. It had the raw wood & kitply stickers & seal on it. The cleaner said not all rooms are like this & they are working on the wardrobe warnish. Though I dont understand why they would give rooms where wardrobe warnish/polish is not yet done.
4) They initally gave only 1 towels, bed sheet, coupon for complimentary buffet even though the number of ppl in the room is 2. We had to ask them to give 2 otherwise they only gave 1 of each.
5) The food is expensive in the hotel. They dont have meals during lunch time. Its all ala carte so naturally the bill will be high. Dinner for 1 person costed Rs. 250 (chapathi, dal, cauliflower, ice cream).
6) Also as a hotel policy they do not allow outside food into the hotel. Since we didnt have prior knowledge abt this I brought food for my mom from the hotel opposite & when I asked for plate & spoon from the hotel the refused to provide it. This upset my mom very much & then she called the manager & after sometime they were willing to provide plate & spoon but by then she had finished eating.
#6 is the only big disappointment for us...we can live with less A/c, limited TV functionality, no wardrobe warnish but not with outside food restrictions if you are elderly person or find the hotel food expensive.

One day prior to check out, we were informed that premium rooms charges shall be applied, we were harassed and put to inconvenience for overbooking by the hotel admin. We did not relent and were finally charged club room tariff.
We have decided never to stay in this place again...
The good:
• Comfortable
• Clean rooms
• Health faucets in bathrooms
• Free Buffet Breakfast for 2 people, and delicious too
• There are good hotels opposite this one where you can get more economical food
The Bad:
• No clock in rooms
• Internet was not free and was not working
• They took 80 rupees for a 2 rupee printout. Normally printouts of any document which may be required by the customer is given free of cost in any hotel.
• There can be problems with check in and check out – The hotel says it’s 24 hours but the booking agents always say its 12 pm checkout.
• Expensive food(but alternatives are there)
• No exhaust fan in bathrooms
Would definitely recommend but CLARIFY about the services before booking and before using any.
One has to ensure they supply you clean linen and towel or else you will be disappointed.
You have to ask them to give a discount on the rack rate and at Rs 1700 for an Executive Room and Rs 2000 for club room would be value for money.
The staff are nice and polite and the room service is good. The front office Manager Mr Sunil is a very helpful person.
We went to this hotel because it was recommended by a distant relative living close to it. Big Mistake.
The hotel looks good from the outside, but is very poor on the inside. The lighting in the room was dull, they had a centralized air conditioner, and the outlets in the room were positioned as far away as possible from the beds, making them useless. Even the air coming out of the outlet was as strong as someone blowing out of their mouth. The water was not hot 24hrs a day, they have a central heating system - which heats up water coming out of every single tap in the morning, and you have to live with luke warm (thanks to Chennai heat) water for the rest of the day. In the mornings particularly, it is a miserable thing that normal/cold water does not come out of ANY of the taps. My family and I could barely bath with that extremely hot water. Also, the water was contaminated with liberal amounts of impurities. Fill up a bucket, and let it stand for 5 minutes, you will see brown sediments covering the bottom of the bucket.
Their restaurant Banjara was pathetic. There was nothing Banjaran there, no variety, and the taste was normal at best. I found better food at a place called Maya opposite this hotel.
To top it all is their service - they have charged us Rs. 8000 upfront for all days even before we stepped into the hotel, they people on their front desk were inefficient and unhelpful on all accounts. We had to start out early the next day and were going to miss our complimentary breakfast, so we requested the previous night if something could be packed and provided as complimentary. Front desk manager plainly refused, and was not kind with his words in doing so. The next morning, before leaving I again requested if we can be provided atleast a water bottle in place of complimentary meals 4 of us were skipping, and the front desk manager, a different guy now, informs me that had I spoken to them the previous night, they could have provided a packed breakfast, but now he can not provide me a water bottle.
The only good thing probably was the location, which the hotel does not really contribute much to.
close to shopping area, and railway station .
