Detailed Reviews
We visited this old prestigious Club on Christmas Day.
The facillities are rather good. Apparently the Amritaj Brothers still play tennis on the lovely Clay couts, sometimes.
Big Bar area & restaurant but the decor is a bit dated & not kept to traditional style.
The food/snacks were very good but I always get concerned when I see menus that are pages long- what is fresh?
I had a look at the accommodation- but stark; could do with a woman's touch.

Facility is part of the Madras Cricket Club, could be a potentially smashing property built into the superb greenery of the stadium. Does not quite live up to its potential, though.
Rooms are dated, need a refresh, decent TV and a split AC, but everything is a bit tired/wilted. Need to walk up a bunch of stairs, no lift.
Food is very decent , and surprisingly low priced. Using the restaurant is a delight in the morning and evening, if one sits out in the wide verandah facing the stadium it is amazing.

Unfortunately MCC did not live up to its standard with our visit. My wife got food poisoning from here (from a sandwich) and she was out for 2 days. This effectively ruined our holiday in Chennai as she was sick on 25th December and we cancelled all our other plans so we could rest in the hotel room.
Furthermore, i personally got diarrhea and could not eat anything from here.
We cannot comment on too much more except to say that based on our experience here, this place should've done much better.

We stayed here for 01 Night last week .The property is in the city and suited our requirements. The rooms were clean and spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 2 Adults and 2 Children. Rooms had wooden floors,32 inch TV,and balcony that over looked the swimming Pool. There was also a nice play area for the children and while you stay there you are given access to the club facilities and hence you can use all the restaurants and pool.
Food was good and service prompt. Reception and staff were very courteous.

Stayed at this property which is part of the Madras Cricket Club. The complex hosts a cricket stadium and sports facilities for the members like swimming, squash, great restaurant and pub among others. I felt the rooms were little outdated and needed some freshness to it.

I stayed there with friends and family for 4 nights. I enjoyed the stay. The rooms are spacious, clean with good amenities. The tariff is also good and fixed most of the time. The another good part was the buffet breakfast, which was all south indian food of good quality & taste however in the lunch or dinner there is only north indian food. There is a swimming pool, a beauty parlour for women & men as well as a massage parlor which I did not use, so don't know the prices. This is basically a club with hotel accomodation for public and is located in Anna Salai.

An old heritage prestigious club located right inside the MAC cricket stadium in Triplicane area of Chennai is a wonderful club for a wonderful evening drink and dinner. Overlooking the lush green cricket ground it is just awesome to spend the evening here. But one has to be a member or a guest of a member to enter this club. They strictly follow the club dress code. Service was fast food was good place was neat. Totally an awesome experience for yesterday evening.

First time stayed at MCC. I think it is welcome change from the usual hotel stay. Going as a guest you can't entertain anyone in restaurants and bar, but get room service. As a guest of the club you have access everywhere and it is a very nice, charming club. Service is also good and property is well maintained. Unlike many other clubs which ask for cash or preloaded cards, you can keep posting all changes to the room. It give it 2 thumbs up.
