Rain drps is KTDC's first venture outside Kerala. This is a 90 Room Business Hotel with Multi cuisine restaurant and Conference facilities. The hotel is rightly poised in close proximity to the Chennai Port, besides the offices of major shipping & IT companies, consulates of USA and UK, many shopping centres, etc. Major health care service providers like Appollo hospital is just behind the hotel and Shankara Nethralaya is only at a walking distance. Furthermore the proximity of Marina Beach, world's second longest beach, will surely add some extra fun and pleasure to your holiday. Convenience is the highlighting feature of the hotel.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.

We selected KTDC Rain Drop at Chennai for the first two nights of our Tamilnadu temple tour because of its location. Feeling after staying is neither unsatisfied nor satisfied. However, probably we shouldn’t expect better than what you get in terms of ‘establishment and service’ from a state-run business. The check-in was smooth; room, bed, toilet and shower space were ok. They provide one-liter bottled drinking water per day and filtered water is available on all floors. Apart from clean towels, dental kit, soap, and shampoo, they also provide a shaving set – a razor and shaving cream in sachet that I find very thoughtful and useful too. Aircon was giving trouble, the furniture was very old, and the door lock was giving trouble.
Our room rent included buffet breakfast and we’re very satisfied with range, quality, and quantity. This was the only hotel out of seven hotels that we stayed in 14 days that served eggs of any style.
We realized that we were the only guests who were there for the tourism purpose and the rest from Bangladesh and India are staying therefor treatment. So, the staff were surprised to know this. BTW: Appollo and Shankar Netralay are within walking distance and the neighborhood is full of travel agents, currency exchange houses and small restaurants.

During my recent stay at KTDC Raindrop, I had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful experience that left me with wonderful memories. From the excellent accommodations to the outstanding Kerala cuisine, this hotel excels in creating a memorable stay for its guests.
A highlight of my visit was undeniably the culinary experience. The hotel's dining options were diverse, offering a variety of delicious dishes catering to various tastes. The chefs showcased their culinary expertise, and the exceptional quality of the ingredients used was evident.
However, my otherwise perfect experience was marred by an unfortunate encounter with one individual – Receptionist Sandeep. While the majority of the staff were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to assist guests, Sandeep's demeanor was noticeably lacking. His lack of enthusiasm and disinterest in addressing my inquiries left a sour note in an otherwise sweet experience.
Despite this isolated hiccup, I would still highly recommend KTDC Raindrop to fellow travelers. The exceptional accommodations, breathtaking views, and culinary delights more than compensate for the shortcomings of one individual. I trust that the management will take note of such instances and promptly address them to ensure that every guest receives the exceptional service that the majority of the KTDC Raindrop staff strives to provide. I eagerly anticipate returning and experiencing the hotel's hospitality once again, hopeful that any such issues will be rectified for an even more flawless stay.

We went for a check up at Apollo Chennai, Greams road and had booked Apollo court for about 5 days. We were two and booked a double bedded room . The hotel is slightly inside in a lane but the room was clean, decent and staff very cooperative and above all in this pandemic the linen was clean and room cleaned daily . Though the hotel doesn't have a restaurant but electric kettle is there for making tea and there are plenty of eateries in the vicinity. Overall it was a good experience. The hospital is also at a walkable distance.

We had the shock of our lives when we checked into our rooms. The rooms were teeming with cockroaches, the wooden pannelling on the floor was cracked at many places and there was fungus growth in the AC vents and on the floor.
The bedsheets and towels were stained, no toiletries were offered, wifi and TV were not working. We changed the room thrice hoping that atleast one room would be ok to stay. This was not the case. Used plates were piled up outside the rooms and the entire corridor was stinking. We had driven down from Cochin and had reached lated in the night. So we had no option but to stay for the night. We check out the next day itself.
The staff was extremely callous and said they had not received any funds from KTDC for maintenance.

We were booked in this hotel by our travel agency during a south India tour. It was the first night after our arrival and the fact that our guide told us later that he had never picked up foreign tourists from this place, tells everything about it. In the rooms, you do not want to touch anything, a strange cable with a button should be the control machine over the A/C etc. We should stay a second night, but we did not and booked another hotel.

First of all, they give bad food with heavy prices. Second, they fool the people saying it's 24 hrs check in, check out. We thought we can check out at anytime of the day as they said that. BUT, when we came to check out they charged for an extra night saying that after 8:00 am you'll have to pay. Means they give BAD SERVICE, they lie and then they take the money. And,the mosquitoes are complementary. WORST Hotel experience ever!!

Booked 20 nights for my parents here in July. The hotel in general is fine. Manager and staff were respectful and welcoming except the night staff Tony at reception. He was very rude to them and when I called from Dubai his behavior was same. Problem was that he gave my parents a room that was not cleaned by house keeping after last guest left.

I love this hotel which is near to Apollo Hospital. I don't know why people are saying the hotel and food is expensive. Visited all near by hotel before choosing this hotel and found it to be cheaper in that locality. Rooms are spacious and ample parking area. Good buffet. 2500 for an AC room with such a good breakfast is worth that too in a metro city. My third visit. Thanks team KTDC.

I am not exactly sure that they have special cooking facilities for guests there. But you can always call their reception at +914428292130, to inquire about the same.
