Friendly staff, luxurious rooms with big double beds. Our flight into Chennai was delayed we didn't end up checking in til nearly midnight. The staff were very accommodating and helpful with giving directions to our taxi driver who didn't speak very good English. A special mention to Ganesh who took it upon himself to arrange a days tour of the city's temples and our taxi to the airport on departure. He also put together a list with pricing of tuk tuks for each trip. My only reservation was the shower being in the middle of the wall which made the entire bathroom floor very slippy to use either the sink or the toilet.

With a smooth and convenient booking process; elaborately presented directions to reach the location; warm, courteous and proactive staff willing to take care of guests' needs; spacious, clean and well equipped rooms; and an overall air of coziness and comfort- Lloyds Guest House leaves no scope for criticism. Located in a busy and bustling part of Chennai, it manages to strike the perfect balance between giving one access to the prime areas of the city, and is yet secluded enough to ensure a peaceful stay. Warm and heartfelt thanks to the owner Mr. Jawahar Siva, and the caretaker, Mr.Ganesh. Its superb place to stay at an affordable cost. Location is awesome. In the centre of the city. All restaurants ,ATM n shopping places around just walkable distances. Everything that a tourist would want. Rooms are clean n spacious. Toilets are hygienic. room services are also good. There is no restaurant attached to the guest house so no complimentary breakfast or meals are provided. WiFi services are present but the signal doesn't reach the second floor. There is no facility of pickup or drop back but the hotel can arrange taxi for you. In short if budget is the issue then this is a good place to stay
