I've stayed here many times over the last decade and was pleased to come back after the pandemic. It is still excellent in all the ways, it was before: the facility, the service and the food. I recommend getting a room with breakfast and the Westin Club. Breakfast is as expected at a fine international hotel-many, many buffet choices and several cook stations. The Club has more than enough food for a light dinner, free drinks and fine service. It's also a good place to talk to people any time of day. Velachery street continues to upscale. There's almost a sidewalk all the way from the ITT entrance to Phoenix Mall and several new residences.
Dear Travelers, I dropped by Westin’s Seasonal Tastes restaurant on Aug 15, 2022. Didn’t book, walked-in with growling sounds from tummy :P At first, I planned to visit MKC, however, as soon as I entered the hotel, this restaurant pulled me in with its seasonal flavours. I checked out the spread and decided to go for their buffet. Amit was our man, from water to confectioneries and Madras coffee 😍😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰 Make sure to try their spread! If your last and lucky, buddy Amit will slap you with some yummy complimentary 😁😁😁
We recently stayed at westin for a staycation and the team there took excellent care of us. Rooms were very clean and very well equipped. Everything our 4yo needed was provided. The team gave her cookies and toys and made sure she is a happy camper. A very special mention to all the hardworking chefs there. We had 6 meals there in seasonal tastes. Every buffet had a huuuge spread of dishes and EVERY SINGLE DISH WAS EXCELLENT. The restaurant staff were really kind and made sure we have everything we needed. Special mention to chef TamilMani and waitperson Rajesh. We felt at home and beyond for the two days and will be definitely coming back for more. I strongly recommend Westin velachery if you are looking to have a nice stay and good food.
House keeping staff though silent workers were out standing. Restaurant is very good. Amit Bala Logan Pushpa Maninder deserve special mention. Location is good for meeting and official visits. I stayed for six nights. Though expensive but worth every penny. Thanks 👏👏👏👏
I have been staying at Westin, Chennai for a week every month for last six months and every trip I have been surprised by this team with great hospitality and experience and keep raising the bar. I would like to thank the Guest Relationship Manager, Runumi Boro, Chef Arpan Majumdhar, Restaurant staff Chandni, Pushpa and Logan with their personal attention in making sure my trip has been hazzle free and memorable.
From Check in to Housekeeping, Room Service and Restaurant, all the staff make you genuinely feel welcome and address any of your requests or even a small issue here and there. Food was amazing starting from the famous Chennai Filter Coffee in the morning. Appreciate the offer to send Chai to the room upon late check-in.
I was hesitant to travel to India this year as there was still a threat of COVID all over the world. Despite of that I decided in the last minute to travel to India and arrived in Chennai at the end of June; I was supposed to stay at the Taj with my co-workers; however, due to a booking glitch, the Taj appeared sold out and I had to quickly make last-minute arrangements; luckily my travel agency was able to find me a room at Westin Chennai, which turned out to be a great decision. While I could criticize the size of my room and the fact that the pool was being remodeled during my stay, I won’t dwell on that, and focus on the good things I liked about my stay at the Westin-Chennai. My Day at the Westin began with a rigorous workout at their fitness center in the second floor, where I recommend you arrive early as the equipment is in high demand during the morning rush hours; don’t forget to sign-in, even if the attendant is not present. Breakfast at ‘Seasonal Taste’ in the ground floor is the best way to start the day; here, the staff is eager to serve you and make you feel at home; each member of the staff ensures you are taken care of from the very moment you are greeted at the door; and they make sure you are ready to start your day with an awesome breakfast full of choices. I particularly remember Logan who ensured each day that all my special dietary needs were met, and Susmita who surprised me each morning by placing the Elite Tag on my table, and therefore making me feel like a real Club Member; it is those little things that matter, and that one remembers the most at the end The executive lounge is perhaps the best kept secret at the Westin Chennai; it is managed and operated by a very selective team of professionals that will do anything to make you feel as though you were the most important guest in the entire hotel; each and every day, guests get a warm welcome and are greeted by Ria, Farman, Chandini, Loknath, Runumi, Venkate, Priyanka, Sojan, and Arpan; within a few days guests feel like coming back home each night after a hard workday. In summary, my stay at the Westin during the month of July 2022 was a wonderful experience, and will be logged on my diary as a Summer to remember with great gratitude and appreciation. Have had a good experience staying at this hotel during business trips to Chennai. Clean rooms, attention to detail in service and a good breakfast spread make it an enjoyable each time. The room service menu could do with more variety.
