Overall hotel stay was awful! Breakfast service was so awful especially the staffs I have been to many hotels but never seen a service like this for known brand and specially the staffs who have no basic knowledge of how to treat their guests during breakfast! Particular one person called saraswathi she needs to learn a lot! You can’t have a quiet breakfast she would come and asked for the room number for more than 4 times even tho that was asked before entering the breakfast area as usually and as this will be asked by every hotel. For the price what we paid the service and overall stay was a waste! You don’t get the service as expected! You will end up picking up your own car if it’s parked which actually is expected by the drivers to driven up the entrance! At several occasions we been given our keys to get our own car! If we wanted a service like this we would have stayed at a cheaper hotel where the service would have been much better! Taj you need a major improvement however if you keep giving this kind of service to your guests soon there be no guests!…
Taj Coromandel is always preferred property and it is an excellent place to stay. The complete team doesn’t disappoint in any way and they always make u feel at home and the food is excellent. This time round they had changed the breakfast menu and made it more elaborate and all the more reason for u to stay there. Manikandan at the reception was very courteous and extends excellent service during and check in and check out and keeps checking throughout the stay if we require anything. All these make me to come back to Taj coromandel and it is the best place to stay
Small Room and lack of co-ordination. Visited them for a business trip, was made to sit at the lobby for 20 mins, because the arly checkin request was not visible despite the hotel staff confirming otherwise on the previous night.
I am quite regular in Taj Coromondal. It's an old property but I go back again and again for the Taj experience. This time what caught my eyes - 1) Ms. Shreya Muskan for making my check-in experience smooth - I requested for an early check-in 2) Ms. Dishani Neogi - making the checkout process very efficient and smooth 3) Ms. Naina Prasad - the girl who showed me the table in Anise 4) and most importantly - Mr Emon Mukherjee - Sous Chef - who personalized my dinner by making Bengali Fish Curry, especially for me. I only wished if I could get Fresh water fish like Rohu/Katla prepared in a mustard paste which is very typical of a Bengali dish. Overall kudos to the staff - this is what I say - The Taj experience!
Fabulous stay at one of the finest TAj with its signature hospitality. The breakfast and dining area though is too cramped and it takes forever to order and get what you want. It took precisely 40 minutes to order a toast as no station exist for the same. Rest the experience was awesome right from arrival to departure
What more can I say this was the most pleasant stay that I’ve ever had at a hotel. Staff was amazingly warm and accommodating and service is unmatched from the restaurant staff, housekeeping and the reception. Special mention goes to Dishani at reception and Suryadeep at Anise, they embody all that is great with the service industry. Breakfast buffet selection was amazing as well. Will definitely be staying at the Taj Coromandel for all my trips to Chennai from here on out
Friendly & Super-efficient front desk; check in / check outs in a jiffy; nice, clean rooms; Sumptuous breakfast spread, though service can improve. Chinese restaurant was awesome. The entire staff is polite and eager to help. Shreya & another gentleman (sorry, forgot his name), at the front desk, deserve special mention for their warmth and went beyond their call of duty helping my mother settle in the room. (She had just been discharged from Apollo hospital after a knee replacement surgery).
Its always good to be back to the place you enjoy and feel comfortable in. Manikandan at the front desk is superb in his job and ensures utmost Guest Satisfaction and Comfort. In fact others can learn from his hospitality attitude. He is polite and ever smiling. Though I was allotted a smaller room (inspite of being a Loyal Gold Member) this time and at a much higher price; No Complaints as I keep coming to TAJ always and can ignore the small hiccups. The Director Sales/Duty Manager (I believe the name was Anish) this time was not very accommodating and was trying to encash the near to full capacity that day. Privileges should be accorded to regular customers and they should not be over charged with lesser facilities even if the hotel is almost sold out. I hope the Team understands my point of view and appreciates it.…
Service from checkin to dining, spa to house keeping all amazing, attentive. Anise: good variety and taste were perfect. House keeping sees to all your needs. All staff so polite and welcoming. This hotel lives up to the Taj reputation. I have travelled a lot around the world and always comment that the Indian 5* luxury is the best I’ve experienced. Suresh from Anise deserves a special call-out as his service, mannerisms and care make you feel like a guest in his home rather than at the restaurant in a hotel. When he was on service I never had to ask for any thing twice.
