Though this Hotel, called ITC Chola those days, was quite a favourite till about 10 years ago, I haven't stayed here since the ITC Grand Chola was opened.
It was quite a pleasant surprise, therefore, to stay in this 'spanking new' Hotel after a long long time! Though the overall structure is the same, the entire hotel has been refurbished and artfully presents an experience of spaciousness.
The GM, Ms Ila Prabhu runs a tight ship and the service is outstanding.
If you ever stay in this very conveniently located hotel in the centre of Chennai, you must plan a dinner at the Chinese Restaurant. The spare ribs and the Sweet & Sour pork were delicious.

Visited this property for my recent business trip. Hotel is located in heart of the city. Post lockdown public transport is an hindrance however hotel offers pick up and drop services for guest. I noticed regular sanitation happening in different parts of the hotel during my stay making me feel safe. Upon reaching early I was offered complementary early check-in and on request Saravana was very kind to offer my late chout as well. A good stay location at chennai.

The hotel is located right next to main road and at easy distance of 1km from US consulate. I was a solo traveller and had to stay for 3 days in Chennai. I am very glad that I chose Welcomhotel for my stay.
My flight got delayed and I arrived late in the night to the hotel. There is lot of safety measures taken starting with thermal scanning, baggage scanning. The receptionist ( Kabeer) was kind enough and I was in for a surprise when I got upgraded to a suite !! That was cherry on the cake experience after a delayed flight & hungry self !
The restaurant takes last order at 9:45pm And sadly I was late. But Shankar from the earthy oven restaurant was my food saviour. He was kind enough to oblige and take my order and deliver to my room. The veg dum biryani was awesome.
The lifts are sanitized too, and you can see option for contactless access to your floor in the lifts. Every floor and almost every corner has hand sanitizer ( no, not the cheap ones!!)
The housekeeping services were excellent. They would tidy the room, change the blanket, pillows daily. I was surprised again. I thought it would be done just once or on request ! Prakash from the house keeping department did an excellent job. Made sure every thing was intact, clean and was replenished.
Since the temperature in Chennai is humid to hot, the thermal scanner can actually show you have high temperature! This happened to me and I actually freaked out. Like I was alright 15 mins ago before I stepped out and when I came back again,the scanner showed status as "elevated". I was bit irritated thinking may be there was an issue. But a staff guy who had just assisted me at the breakfast lounge came to me, got the misunderstanding at the entrance and asked me cool down ! Scanned again and I was shown normal! Damn the weather !! Thank you for the help ( I don't rmbr the name. I think it was Kennedy)
The food-- wow, beyond satisfaction ! I am not a fan of too many options. Which is just a wastage of food. This buffet was just perfect. 5/5 for the food, service and the taste.
I am glad that I chose this hotel and wish to stay again if I have to visit Chennai ever.

We stayed 6 nights in an executive room - great as there is a separate lounge room in addition to the bedroom, making a longer stay so much more enjoyable. Breakfasts are excellent - especially love the yoghurt in the small terracotta dishes. Pool area pleasant. Gym is only small, however area also has nice steam room and sauna. Well located for what we were doing.

Excellent hospitality Excellent Food. The location of hotel is very good. Very supportive front desk. You can add very small tooth paste and shower cap in the facilities list provided by the hotel. The overall experience is nice and it's a good place to stay.

I stayed at this property for 04 nights recently. First the positives.......A very well located, reasonably well maintained property. All laid down covid protocols were strictly adhered to. The house keeping staff was very prompt and efficient so was the staff in the Restaurant....Extremely courteous and polite. The club suite, I stayed was very comfortable . Overall a wonderful experience and would prefer staying there during my next visit. I have the following suggestions to offer : 1. The lounge for the waiting guest needs to be cleaned on a daily basis since for two continuous days, I found the same stuff lying at the same place on the floor. 2. Had ordered for Hot Milk for my visiting aged guest. The same was brought and served directly in a cup and neither was the sugar there in it nor was it served seperately. I was a little surprised at this kind of casual service. 3. The staff at the reception must live up to the name of the hotel WELCOME. On checking in, they gave us a impression as if we had just barged in. May be prevailing covid tension. Although, I must admit on subsequent days they were extremely friendly. Barring the above minor observations and suggestion, over all , I and my wife had an absolutely comfortable stay and would surely stay again during our next visit. Thank you Team WELCOME.

Excellent work by the staff, very professional and very helpful staff, keep up the good job, the food was good but can be improved and some more North Indian foods can be added, rooms were excellent and very well looked after, everything was available in the room except bathroom slippers and shoe shiner were not available, our fridge was also empty with no beverages available, these few things should be looked upon by the management, the quality of food was good but it was served cold, this should be improved, overall it was good experience for our family, we were attending a wedding so all our guests were looked after properly. One request to you people is please keep the security checks at the main gate a little precise so that the cars behind can be cleared fast without any hindrance to other people. Lift access to all the guests should be given so that they can move around freely on all the floors, guests were given access to their respective floors and the movement to other floors was very difficult as all the guests were allotted roooms on different floors starting from 2nd floor to the 6th floor. This is to be looked upon by the management with top priority. Thanks.

The one thing I personally like about this hotel is that it's well sanitized and professional behavior of staffs. The true meaning of word 'Namaste' is reflected in every services provided by the hotel. Particularly saying Earthen Oven has the best kebabs in the South. Mr. Bikey, Shankar and Abhishek were well polite in their services. The In room dining experience was fabulous especially Mr. Neil, & Advaith were well responsive and energetic in their services. Had a very happy and enjoyable stay. The staff was courteous,the food good and the room arrangements were excellent. The hotel maintains high standards and all the staff works towards looking after all the requirements of guests. I definitely recommend the hotel for those on a short business trip to Chennai.

It is definitely a great experience staying in welcome ITC , not just because of this extremely beautiful atmosphere but for the hospitality and services they provide .
Welcome ITC ,Teynampet welcomed me in the start of the May month and i am immensely pleasured and excited to quote about each and every services that they provided me from the very beginning of my check-in .
To start with I'll go with the "Reception" service , Mr. Saravanan from the reception helped me to connect with the hotel's WiFi connection at 11:30 pm one day . This is one just fine example to explain about the intensity of thier service. Whenever i make them a call and raise queries am pretty sure that i 'd receive the solution from the concern within few minutes .
Secondly the "In room dining" , Sometimes, the food not being upto the expectation is not a matter of concern because Food is always a personal preference and it is highly difficult to satisfy the taste buds of each and every person with what is provided. But i must say they still put effort in meeting such satisfaction too . Ms.Indhu , Ms.Ria and some other people from in room dining engage with us after every meal and hear our feedback with more patience . The Manager gentleman from in room dining will rectify our feedback within next meal or the next day. He makes sure each and every feedback is taken into concern and provide food almost meeting upto the expectations. Special mention to Mr.chef and his lovable desserts.
The laundry and room cleaning services provide excellent services with utmost punctuality and perfection .
Finally a wholehearted thanks to every security gentlemen , their warm greetings will be a booster to my work day . and i have never waited near the gate not more than few seconds .
To simplify , i never regret coming to Welcome ITC and will have no second thoughts in seeking a accommodation here in future .
