Stayed in this hotel for 8 days, great breakfast, great hostess Mercy from Shillong! Great lounge and what a manager! Professional, friendly, efficient was Rishi, his demeanor was steady and reassuring! And the way he took care of the guests was a pleasure to watch. He had a young intern and was guiding him while still maintaining a great level of service to all guests in the lounge! Will go stay there again, mostly because of Rishi and Mercy!
As a Titanium member I was upgraded to Executive Suites every time when I stayed. The housekeeping was extremely good, Menu for breakfast was very good. Every day I enjoyed my Happy Hours in Royal Club, Mr.Madhu was a very professional and energetic person who made our Happy Hours more enjoyable. Thanks to Le Royal Management. The hotel needs to be maintained well, especially the pool area and outside restaurant area. As pool is not operational for a longer period mosquitos are breeding and there is no place to relax.
Stay is splendid and awesome so far. Enjoying the happy hours alongwith Billiards. Excellent breakfast and dish served were amazing. Services are excellent so far and you will love to stay for long time. More comments to come 👍🏻
Poor service .... Experienced so bad hospitality services .No co-ordination within departments . Hospitality services was rude in all from day check in reception where they spoiled the first impression . For paid extra bed i waited more than 45 mins after 3 multiple reminder . No noodles or fried rice available in in room dinning . Most worst stay experience
Hotel is well maintained. Hospitality is at its best. Had amazing time at the Dome and Mr Ajith Dev served us very well. Impecabble Hospitality The hotel is clean spic and span. Would highly recommend this hotel when you at Chennai. The rooms are very clean. Had a great experience.
Overall Experience: We visited Cilantro at Le Royal Meridien for a team lunch. We were a group of 53 members. From booking till the end our lunch outing, everything was handled effortlessly by the hotel staff. Special mention to their manager Mr. Ramar and his colleague Mr. Varadhan who answered all my questions and clarifications before and during the booking. They also were very hospitable and welcoming. They even made changes to the menu per my requirement. Food : After reading lots of review and going through multiple review sites to pick a spot for your team lunch which was happening after 2 years due to the pandemic, I narrowed this place. As expected, the food was superb in terms of quality and taste. The entire team was satisfied with the food that was served and we all had a good time. I have visited almost all the 4 and 5-star hotels in Chennai and can say that the food served here is the best. Ambience: We were given tables overlooking the swimming pool and lawn which gave a good ambience. Only thing was that their air conditioning had some issue on that day, but they arranged tower ac's to manage the temperature. The lawn and swimming pool area is good to have some insta worth pictures. The reception area was humongous, and our 53-member group felt like a small group in that area. …
There is hardly any water flow of water There is no towel in bathroom nor there is any tissue paper box When I wish to call reception - the service button on telephone next to bed is not functional . You reach or send email , there is no response from GM
It was by far the worst hotel that I have stayed. Let’ me start ranking each part of the hotel and explain why Reception : -5 it was the worst check experience instead of welcoming the guest they had a set of rules (Rule 1 you can NOT bring in outside food Rule 2 you can NOT bring in any liquor from outside the hotel Rule 3 you can NOT bring any guests to the room) instead of welcoming I was given the following rules and made to wait for a room. THE ROOM -10 Up on entering the room looks like it was stuck in a time warp from the 1980’s, rusted fixtures, stained tables, stained tv stand, a couch that was probably stolen from a 1980’s 42nd street NYC pay by the hr motel, the bed was most probably a wooden board with two sheets as cushion( I went in without any back problems). Bathroom: -15 never have I seen a bathroom so bad where there was fungus & mold growing, the cleaning staff did a piss ass job of cleaning the room/bathroom, they left towels which were used by the previous guest, Breakfast: -10 @ the great cilantro cafe Their is no one there to greet you, welcome you and to take you to a table, it’s prison feeding rules you take what you want sit where you can cover you food and eat I saw reviews where people were raving about the food Being in South India you should be able to make South Indian food right, the le royal meridian has done a great job of screwing that up, The staff at the Le Royal Meriden are some of the most arrogant, racist staff that I have ever had the displeasure of meeting The equipment used were old and rusted They do not care for peoples wellbeing they are just cashing in on the Marriott Bonvoy Le Royal Meridien in Chennai My honest recommendation is that you can choose any other hotel that are better and cheaper.…
Once a grandiose hotel, it’s now apparent from the front desk folks apathy towards their guests that all is not well with this establishment. We arrived late for an overnight stop over. No valet parking. We were given a smoking room which was reeling of smoke, in spite of the fact that my partner was visibly pregnant. A change to a non-smoking section took a long time and through out no apology was forthcoming. The room had been prepared for single occupancy in spite of the fact that the booking had been for 2 adults. The air conditioning was fighting a losing battle against Chennai’s heat, but we were too tired and beyond caring to complain. Avoid at all costs! A no-star experience regardless of the star rating.
This hotel doesn’t respect the guest and their time. They give very poor service and they say they want to help you but don’t. 1. The duty managers especially Mr. Bosser and Mr. Maniprasanth are very rude and and arrogant, they don’t know how to talk and are not helpful. 2.The food is delivered late. 3. They don’t deliver everything what you order and you have to wait for more time till they get your other other. They charge you for even 1 bottled water which is complementary. 4. They are cost cutting and don’t put all lights on in the hotel. 5. They don’t send the car on time and make you wait for 45 min to an hour at the airport even though its 5.5kms. ( Taking a Ola is faster and cheaper) 6. The gym is smelly and the towels are not been washed. 7. They staff is rude they have a breeding ground for mosquitoes, their swimming pool is filled with algae and water is green in colour. 8. there were kids going to enter the pool I told them and they didn’t go and was shocked what a dirty service Le royal meridian gives. 9. I request all the people don’t book this hotel and see other hotels close by as the Mr. bosser the duty manager and Mr. Maniprasnth are rude to name a few as they are backed my the higher management and don’t don’t think one of insulting you as they know their boss will support them. Don’t come to this hotel there are good hotels next to this place. Even a non star hotel is better than this. You’ll not get any good service here.…
