There was a New Year's party in the basement on the day we arrived. Lots of teenage and young adults were staying and/or visiting for the party. I believe drinking was allowed. It was busy and loud all night. It may have affected our judgement. Room was fine. We asked for 2 beds for total of 3 adults but we only got a double bed. When requested, they reluctantly brought us a roll-away bed, not sure if it was our travel agent's fault that this size room was booked. Bathroom had glass enclosure for the shower which we preferred; which prevents the toilet commode from getting wet. Breakfast, which was free for us (not sure if our agent paid for it separately or is included with all types of bookings) was pretty good. There were Idlys, Vadas, some kind of Payasam, Dosas brought to the table, variety of fresh fruits, in addition to Coffee/Tea. Overall food was pretty good, one of the best in our experience. I loved the spacious room, which had clean sheets and basic amenities. The hotel staff including the house keeping team showed great hospitality. Sebastian the reception was able to check us check in and gave awesome customer experience. The staffs Francis and Ranjit, helped us get out bags and receive/deliver our food. I didn’t feel like leaving as this hotel and their staff made me feel like home. This is going to be my go to hotel from now.

A month ago, I travelled to Chennai for some professional work for a week. The meetings were organized in Fortel, Egmore. I have to say, I had the best experience staying in the hotel. The ambiance is superlative, food prepared over there is delicious. The staff were co-operative, helpful. A token of appreciation for General Manager of a hotel, Ms. Geeta Somashekaran - she hosted us so well, ensured every guest's needs were taken care of, and the services were upto a great mark. Rooms are perfectly organized, absolutely spic and span. I hope I can travel to chennai in the near future so that I get to stay in Fortel again. I would highly recommend everyone - who are planning to travel to Chennai for business purpose, to stay in Fortel, Egmore, to witness the beauty and experience their wonderful services. They are worth your money.…

We went for an official visit to Chennai and we chose Fortel hotel to stay. I should say that the stay was very pleasant and fantastic, the staff was really helpful and friendly, food was outstanding with large varieties, room was clean.. We intend to visit again with the family in Chennai and stay in the same hotel. Anyone looking for an office visit or a family visit, you are at the right spot.

Nice hotel but staff was very arrogant need some more training I don't know where they worked before like oyo hotel or lodge it seems my while check in I got a bad experience from specs guy way of handle pathetic apart from all okay tastey food good atmosphere my office is walkable.....

The ambience and the behaviour of staff has been excellent. Moreover, the variety of dishes offered were wonderful. The view of the outside environment made me feel satisfied. I would recommend this hotel to my friends who will be willing to visit Chennai.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay…………………….good hotel to stay and service was good The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing.
