The room was so small and it was average when it comes to cleanliness. The location of this hotel is good as it is near to the most happening places in Chennai.The rooms should be kept tidy and spacious.
As I had to spend one night at Chennai and proceed the next morning to Pondicherry, I was seeking a budget hotel. Location is bad, rooms are bad and bathroom the worst I have seen. I felt unsafe in a strange city.
had booked 2 rooms and paid in full a week earlier. 1. got a call from the property while i was reaching the hotel(after driving for 7 hours) saying there had been a fire in "just the 2 rooms" i had ooked. 2. "no rooms for you, find yourself accommodation elsewhere". This was what the property manager tells me. Or contact OYO. we cant help you. 3. OYO customer support replied saying deal with the property manager, we cant help you. 4. We barged in to the hotel and threatened to inform police,,,then they give two rooms saying geyser is not working. SInce we had lost a few hours in this, we took the rooms(all couples) but the rooms were very very dirty..peanut shells all over the place, one room sheets were dirty, poisonous insect crawling in the bathroom. the room geyser was not working... you turn on the tap, water pours out of the geyser directly very rude staff. No accountability. our guests refused to even stay or shower in one room! and after five days of communication with OYO...all we get was one "sorry". from OYO who refused to help u on the day of arrival. by the way, another couple who had come from Bangalore after us were also denied room(they had also paid in aadvance). they also had to fight for the room. I think, the property was trying to rent ou in higher rates to others to make money..…
OYO service is disgusting. Never thought their customer support guys will take us for a ride, we feel cheated ! 1. When we arrived at the hotel, no room service was provided and the lift was not working. Luggages had to be shifted by ourselves and room was in the 2nd floor. 2. Room floor was not cleaned, we could feel the soil. Tables were uncleaned , could see stain marks left by earlier occupants. 3. Telephone was dead and no dustin. So, nobody can complain ! 4. No bath soaps and bath towels provided. It was provided after complaining. 5. At night no one could sleep as mosquitoes kept us busy and for our surprise ALL OUT was empty ! No one thought it should be filled before letting the guests check-in. 6. And finally comes customer support by OYO. They have no control over the hotel guys and told us repeatedly that they have escalated the issue. Till now (its been 1 day since we checked-out) no one bothered to call us back from OYO. Though the hotel is located at the high profile Alwarpet area of Chennai, I do not recommend Ramani Resorts and hotels to anyone. There are many good hotels available for slight more money but they are excellent in everything else.…
