We spent two nights at Alsisar Haveli in Feb 2024. It was our first experience at a Heritage hotel in India. The staff and service are excellent. The room was large and comfortable and very clean. The bathroom had excellent water pressure and hot water throughout.
The breakfast buffet was generous with made to order omelettes and waffles. Fresh yogurt, fresh fruits, fresh juice. Both Western and Indian hot food as well as a range of breads, pastries, cereals, etc. We appreciated that they were able to find soy milk every morning. Also, the coffee/cappuccino machine is readily accessible, which was much appreciated.
The common areas are very welcoming, bright, and cheery. The rooms are non-smoking and there is a designated smoking area. Many guests spend time in the large front courtyard enjoying the live music, drinks, etc. throughout the day and in the evening. However, some of the foreign guests tend to smoke everywhere including near the dining area and large open courtyard.
There are 3 courtyards, some more interior. Depending on the types of guests, it might be possible to have even one courtyard designated non-smoking.
The hotel offers a range of services and amenities: massage, facials, wraps, sauna/steam room at the spa, foreign exchange, etc. same day laundry.
We had an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Magical and magnificent place. We have the impression of having returned to the times of the Maharajas. Very warm welcome and attentive staff. The swimming pool is magnificent. We also tested the spa, reasonable price and competent and discreet therapists. I didn't give it 10 because there was a small downside regarding the cleanliness of the linen…. No problem with the sheets but the duvet covers stored in the wardrobe and extra pillows were dirty, already used. Called reception on the first day but obviously the housekeeping service didn't have anything cleaner because they “changed” the covers with other dirty ones as well. The next day, room renovated and all linen clean…. But surprise, the new towels were dirty too. So forced to call reception again. It is a shame in an establishment of this level that there was this problem with the linen otherwise it was faultless…. I nevertheless recommend despite this small misstep, a haven of peace in the tumult of Jaipur, relaxing, magnificent and a warm welcome.

In my opinion, a wonderful structure, very well looked after, a large room and a beautiful bathroom, you can breathe a retro air in all its rooms. Beautiful environments. Nice swimming pool adjacent to the internal courtyard with some ruined deckchairs. Good breakfast in a charmingly painted room full of huge glass chandeliers. Nice waiters. Lack of friendliness and professionalism (not knowing how to open the bottle of prosecco, he shook the bottle by hitting it on the back which caused the cork to burst and spill out onto the floor. It would have seemed the least for the waiter to change the bottle, but beyond a simple 'Sorry' it didn't go) Good dinner without particular praise. Excellent laundry. Laundry ironed in an exemplary manner by 'stuffing' each individual t-shirt with sheets of fold support cardboard) Advise

What a fantastic hotel. We stayed for 2 nights on our journey through India and by far my favourite hotel. Despite the noise, hustle and bustle outside the courtyard, it is like stepping into an oasis. During our stay the hotel was always quiet, clean and tranquil with staff that were always very polite and attentive. Being a heritage hotel, entering is like stepping back in time. From the chandeliers to the intricately painted walls and ceilings to the padlocks on the door to your room! It really is like the hotel has been frozen in time for 200 years. This place has really changed my opinion on hotels and would definitely stay here again if passing through this way in the future. Oh and they have a cute little French bulldog named Stella.

Our previous hotel in Ranthambore seemed to be modelled on this hotel, albeit on a smaller scale, so it felt familiar in many aspects. Opulent dining room and a lounge area which had mirrored ceiling similar to Amber palace. Staff were approachable and helpful. The WiFi went down one evening till following morning, but reception helped with accessing information about the spa. Hot water was coming out of cold tap, but that was swiftly fixed. A broken safe also immediately replaced. Spacious room and shower room. The pool was clean and tranquil with calm music from the adjoining spa. We had a lovely rest day here, first sitting in cane chairs on shaded patio, then later beside pool. We had massages at the spa. I had Harmony package with chakra head massage. Very competent therapist. Brochure advertised steam, shower and beverage, but I wasn't offered any of those; not a massive problem as I wouldn't want to wash off the aromatic oil straightaway.

Alsisar Haveli in Jaipur is an incredible place to stay. It’s an amazing pearl hidden behind an inconspicuous gate somewhere in the centre of Jaipur along a busy road. It’s a true palace, beautifully decorated with rooms that still exude the atmosphere of earlier times. The setting is just perfect, but a few elements may require some attention: the airco is not really functioning optimally, the wifi in the rooms could be improved and the safe needs some repair. Staff is polite and friendly, but a little more distant than in other hotels during our journey through Rajasthan.

On your arrival, please don’t expect these guys to help you unload your luggage from the car. At reception, no basic courtesy, no greetings.
Used bed linens in the room, jet spray in the washroom is unusable. At restaurant, nobody cares about service. Such a beautiful place but hopeless service and hygiene.

Perhaps the most beautiful of the hotels we stayed in during our trip to Rajasthan, also rich in history and charm but also fully equipped with so-called modern comforts. The rooms and environments are furnished with period furniture and lavishly decorated. The staff is efficient, kind and we even established even brief friendly relationships with some. The cuisine - overall good - is predominantly Indian but you can ask for some customization.

We spent 4 nights at this hotel as a family of 5 adults. It was a great place to relax after the busy pace of Jaipur life. Sadly we didn’t use the pool as it was too cold. We had to venture a fair way to find dinner outside of the hotel. Breakfasts (buffet) were excellent, lunch was ok and we didn’t have dinner at the hotel. The staff were very attentive (perhaps a little too much at times for us!). Including a musician in the courtyard who played very late into the night. Value for money was low compared to other places we have stayed in India. Beautiful hotel and rooms though.
