We stayed here for four nights and used it as a base to explore Jaipur.
The staff is great, Rahis has excellent English and is very helpful. He arranged a tuktuk to collect us at 0530 from the railway station, complementary from the hotel, which was very welcome. Also he was able to let us into our room early, again very welcome.
The room was large, well appointed, spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was the best we've had so far in India, the shower was excellent!
Breakfast was included and started with a large plate of fruit which we enjoyed, followed by Poha, omelette, or paratha, with toast.
The a la carte breakfast looked good too.
The cook is friendly and makes great food!
Breakfast and other meals are served on the rooftop terrace, which is nice.
The road is quiet and we slept well, you can hear the Hindu temple in the morning but we don't mind that
There's a couple of ATMs round the corner, but not much else to walk to. However it's only 100-150 rupees to get into the Pink City in a tuktuk, or many other places.
Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again, if returning to Jaipur.

This homestay is a little far from the city center, in a Muslim neighborhood. The area is not the best, I wouldn't recommend it if you want to stay close to the monuments. For the rest it is excellent. The medium-sized room is clean and modern, with air conditioning, TV, Netflix and fridge. The bathrooms are spacious. The rooms also have a private balcony. Breakfast is average but with very good fruit; they also offer the loundry service, which we used at a price of around €0.30 per piece. For €15 per night I absolutely recommend it.

Right after arrival I wanted to call my daughter back home and tell her “I’m moving here and you better come visit!”
This is an extremely cute homestsy! The group I came with was the only guests for about 5 days and we were treated like royalty. My first day in Jaipur, I saw a fruit on a tour that I really missed from Brasil, where I’m from. I mentioned this to Janu, the owner of the tour company and Marigold Inn, and after that he made sure that fruit was available every day at breakfast. Whatever you needed, his staff made it happen. The homestay looks traditional on the outside but it’s modern on the inside, very comfortable and very clean. I stayed at room 108 which had a large window and a private balcony. It is walking distance from markets and ATMs, and if you also contract Janu’s tour services, you’ll be hooked up for your entire trip to Jaipur. I cannot recommend this place more, especially for the price! It is a MUST stay at Jaipur!

Everything was perfect and life was made so easy for us during our stay.

Janu the owner has been to over 50 countries and you can tell he has the knowledge of what tourists want and need for their stay.

There is everything that you need from a rooftop restaurant, in-house Janu private tours who can help with tours and transport all around India. The guys booked our onward train to Pushkar with no extra charge.

There is a complimentary transfer available from the bus/train.

Imran gave us an amazing tour of Jaipur by tuk tuk and took us everywhere that we wanted to go.

Rahees at reception was so kind and helpful and brought my partner to a local tailor to mend some clothes out of the goodness of his heart.

The room itself was fantastic and as it was our anniversary, the guys had scattered flowers and flower petals around the room and presented us with a cake in the evening.
The room was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, with a soft bed and comfortable pillows.

There was also a TV, iron, hair dryer, and to my partners delight hair straighteners!!!

Our best stay in India so far, highly recommended.

This place is incredible!
The rooms are exceptionally large and comfortable with everything you need , such as hairdryer , iron and to my delight, even hair straighteners!

They are beautifully decorated , spotlessly clean , with a comfy bed and sofa.

The staff are exceptionally helpful, even taking me to get some clothes mended at a local shop. The complimentary pick up from station is a bonus!

It was our anniversary and they treated us with rose petals and roses in the room, then a yummy cake , which were lovely gestures.

There is also a travel agency in the hotel which booked our tickets with no extra cost and options for tours.

Would highly recommend!!!

Clean, comfortable, friendly and accommodating staff, with everything you can find in a good international chain hotel room. Plus my room was very spacious. Front desk has currency exchange service at convenient rates. Breakfast starts at 7:30 am but they kindly served it at 6:45 as we needed to leave earlier.

Roof top is cool to drink a beer or eat something.

We did not regret having changed our original booking in a major international recognised hotel for this nice welcoming Homestay which has everything one may need as a tourist.

Staff was helpful, kind, friendly.

Breakfast was ok but could be improved.

I would definitely go back and I will certainly recommend it to my friends and family.

First, the accoms arranged for their in-house driver to pick us up at the airport for INR 800 and we arrived at the property with no problems at all, our driver Damodar was friendly and patient. After we've settled down in our room, we needed to get a SIM card and some information about our plans to get to Chokhi Dhani. When we asked the manager for places to recommend to get SIM card and information on how to book a reservation at Chokhi Dhani, the manager told us to bring our bags down and asked the property owner's brother to bring us to a Airtel shop nearby to get the SIM card, the tuktuk trip was free of charge. Then the manager arranged for Damodar to bring us to Chokhi Dhani and back for INR 2000. It was on the pricey side for sure when compared to Uber but Damodar was patiently waiting for us for around 2 hours while we were having our dinner and experience at Chokhi Dhani village.

The second day, we had a great breakfast with fruits, omelette, toast bread with jam/butter, paratha and masala chai. The server kept asking us if we wanted more to eat and we had to reject since we were very full!

The third day we had to leave Jaipur on an early train at Jaipur Junction at 7.55am. I went down to reception to ask for some information on the Jaipur Junction's layout since it was our first time taking a train in India. I got the information I needed from the manager and I went back up to have my breakfast. When I was almost done, the property owner Janu came to check in on us and I told him that we were rushing for a train and after he understood our plans, he told me not to worry and he would arrange for a driver free-of-charge to get us to Jaipur Junction. Granted the station was only 5minutes away but the gesture was very very much appreciated for a new tourist who is in India for the first time. Janu even gave us his name card and told us to contact him anytime if we have trouble in India.

All in all, this is a very worthwhile stay and happy and grateful to have met the people of Marigold Inn and Janu Private Tours to start off our India holiday.

The place to stay if you’re visiting Jaipur. Jantu and his team are very helpful with questions, directions, suggestions, anything really. The rooftop restaurant is nice space overlooking the area. Room was clean, spacious, well kept – a relaxing space after a day out.

I briefly want to mention Jantu’s other restaurant in the city, The curry spoon which was a great lunch stop on our visits around the beautiful sites.

Jantu was very helpful in offering us a guided tour of the city with our driver. There was no pressure to accept, just a suggestion which we hadn’t fully thought about at the time. As westerners we’re used to walking around the sites but india is a different ball game. Its walkable if you know how to deal with Indian roads. The sites aren’t exactly close together and individually have a fair bit of walking within so adding the travel distance might be too much in the one full day we had for jaipur. We did decide to take the offer and it was well worth having.

Jeetu, our driver for the day in Jaipur and our trip from Jaipur to Agra, was the guy to have. He wasn’t just our driver, by the end he was like our friend. He looked out for us, especially around the masses of tourist and hundreds of parked taxis. He went the extra mile for us, making sure we were happy and safe. Even showed us a block printing workshop and textiles, that wasn’t on our itinerary but was fascinating to see.

We had previously organised for the drive from Jaipur to Agra as I wanted to stop at the Chad Baori. Jeetu again came through and more. We visted the beautiful Monkey temple on the way and Fatehpur Sikri – again not on our list because we didn’t think we’d have time but well worth the stops with great views, wildlife and architecture. Jantu and Jeetu also organised for us a tour guide at Fatehpur Sikri which was well worth having, sharing incredible history of india that made the spaces we were in/visiting have so much more meaning than just looking at a building.

Though in total a 6hr+ drive, the stops in between to see the sites and his company made it a pleasurable experience, one that without him we wouldn’t have had, nor will we forget. A true experience of Indian hospitality.

From being total strangers to being a family, Marigold Inn and it's owner Mr. Shabbir ( Janu ) embraced us like a comforting blanket of respite and gave us the experience of a lifetime. After picking us up from the Jaipur railway station with just a call as the means of acquaintance, The hotel staff took care of each and every one of our requests with a smile on their face at any time of day. I must have to mention the breakfast that was served. It was ludicrous to even think how a breakfast could have tasted so good, that we yearned for the next day just to have it again. The rooms were very clean and the attention to detail of the amenities that were provided with a few touches of luxury was very relaxing to witness and experience. The room service was quick and prompt with minimum delay to convey their services. Last but not the least, Janu Bhaiyya.

It won't be an overstated to say that Mr. Shabbir a.k.a. Janu is an institution in himself and during my stay, not only did I learn about his struggles and how he overcame it, but understood more about mine. His smiling face, cordial behaviour, and the ability to dissolve into a conversation will still linger on. In him, I found an excellent proprietor, an excellent man but also a loving brother who took care of my family as if his own during our stay at the Marigold Inn.

To sum up, don't miss the experience of visiting Jaipur and staying at the Marigold Inn. It is a home away from home.
