I have really enjoyed my time staying here. I had come from Delhi and i was searching for a place which wouldn't make me feel any less comfortable than my own home. I was just so lucky to find them through a friend . The owners Himanshu (mayoite)and Deepti are lovely people. The house has a touch of class and you can only know this when you stay here. The staff Mukesh bhaiya, Ganesh ji and the chef Kumar bhaiya are extremely friendly and coordial. I have stayed here for almost a year. Not a day that I could think when I wasn't treated like a member of the family. It was my first time that I was away from home and i lt dint feel like I missed any pampering. For anyone searching for a place in jaipur and looking for top class location, food, safety, space, laundry, electricity, internet -all under one roof it's Pratap Bhawan. Thankyou again for such great hospitality and tolerating a brats behaviour with so much love and care. You guys rock ❤️…
PRATAP BHAWAN : MY NEW FAVOURITE PLACE TO SATISFY MEAT CRAVINGS! I had not eaten meat since the last three months (when the lockdown began) and recently I was suddenly craving a lot for some great non-vegetarian food to hog on. Just at the right moment I came across Pratap Bhawan’s page on Instagram and saw a picture of some super scrumptious looking kebabs and I was instantly tempted to try them. I did my research thoroughly by reading about their venture and without thinking twice, I placed an order with them for some of their signature dishes. * FOOD : 5/5 1. MAAS KE KEBABS 2. MURGH KE KEBABS 3. MAAS KA ACHAAR 4. MURGH KA ACHAAR Both the kebabs were smoked & shallow fried with cardamom, cloves, red chilli and flavoured with garlic, green chillies & fresh coriander. They were EXTREMELY TENDER & DELECTABLE and the mutton kebabs truly melted in my mouth. Coming to the pickles, this was the very first time that I tried meat pickles. These pickles have been made with their secret spicy & tangy family recipe which is cooked and preserved with varied spices & mustard oil. I honestly loved these pickles and I have stored them in the refrigerator to eat it with every meal. * PACKAGING : 5/5 The packaging was done efficiently and following all safety measures. I also loved the jars in which they sent the pickles. They’re amazing. * DELIVERY PROCESS : 5/5 My meal was delivered to me through an online delivery app. Hassle-free, no contact and quick delivery was done. * VALUE FOR MONEY : 5/5 * WILL I TRY AGAIN? OFCOURSE! I’ve already added Pratap Bhawan to my list of favourites. I’m looking forward to try their Mayo Kathi Rolls and the weekend specials like their signature Raan and Khadh Murgh! Mr. Himanshu and Mrs. Deepti make sure to prepare the food with utmost love and care which you will feel on your palate when you eat these delicious & authentic home-cooked Rajasthani dishes from Pratap Bhawan. …
Getting to come onto a home setting and learning a little more about how people live there is so refreshing. Learning about some of our differences and yet hearing and seeing the many things we both value. So much more realistic that answers from a tour guide. Learning a bit more about all the time that goes into producing the layers of flavors in Indian cooking was enlightening. Himanshu even sent some recipes by email for us to try. I was so impressed by the eggplant dish. First time ever I've eaten eggplant and enjoyed it.
The place is very very clean and nice! Deepti and Himanshu are great hosts, very helpful and always available. Most important, I absolutely reccomand they food they prepare! It is absolutely delicious!
We visited them for an afternoon cooking demostration and to eat with them and get a feeling of how there culture is. This is one of the greatest afternoons we had on our Indian trip. Thank you for your hospitality and for allowing us into your home. You are such a winderful friendly family. If you are ever close this is a absolute must.
I was fortunate to spend an evening here with my tour group for a cooking demonstration and dinner that was absolutely phenomenal. The hosts were incredibly polite and immediately treated us like family, they even had 3 beautiful dogs that made it feel even more like home. The cooking demonstration was exciting and interesting, and the meals afterwards were so different to what you might find in a restaurant, in the most delicious way possible. If you have the chance to stay at this place longer than I did, I can’t recommend it enough.
I booked Pratap Bhawan for my Sister in law visiting from Nepal and this is what she had to say about Pratap Bhawan. "I along with my son was visiting Jaipur for the first time and wasn't sure what to expect. My Sister in law booked me at Pratap Bhawan and assured that I will be looked after well, sure enough staying at Pratap Bhawan became the highlight of our trip. From pick up to drop, organising my trip to markets and other attractions were all very well taken care of by wonderful couple (Deepti and Himanshu) the homely atmosphere and amazing food made everything even more comfortable. A big thanks to Deepti and Himanshu for such great hospitality and warmth that I can't wait to be back"
We arrived after midnight due to a late train and our transition to our accommodation was easy with Himanshu awaiting our arrival. We stayed in the beautiful cottage room which is incredibly spacious and well fitted out. Plus the bed is so comfortable. Breakfast is delicious each morning and make sure you opt in for a lunch or dinner cooked by Himanshu and Deepti. Ask for the aubergine curry!
We just visited Jaipur and stayed at Pratap Bhawan Homestay for 4 nights. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience at this place. We thank the couple, their dogs and the amiable staff for this, and highly recommend this place for a relaxing, family outing. Himanshu was very proactive and co-operative and made sure that we were comfortable during our time at Jaipur. I would like to highlight some of the things that I liked. 1. We had a little change in plan a few days before and I asked if we could accommodate my dad in the Cottage room. He agreed at a very nominal rate. They picked up my dad from the airport, allowed him for an early Check In and made him comfortable till we reached there in the evening. 2. We were served very nice, homemade fresh dinner of traditional style every night. My kids simply loved the food. A chicken and a potato preparation were just awesome. Breakfast served was sumptuous and of very high quality. Although Himanshu and Deepti were pretty busy with 2 kids, they made a mouth watering scrambled egg every morning for us. 3. Himanshu arranged for a beautiful Leopard watching tour, and we could actually spot a leopard in the jungle. This was an amazing experience. 4. Himanshu was very helpful and was available on the phone anytime for answering questions that we might have during sight seeing. They even arranged for cars and drivers for sight seeing at a very short notice. 5. The staff was very co-operative, they even provided a medicine solution that we needed urgently. Playing with their 3 dogs named Elsa, Ranger and Giggle was extremely relaxing. Only one incident happened on the day of our check out, and it created some confusion at the last moment. Deepti arranged for a sight seeing tour and we had the understanding that the cost included the airport drop off. My husband confirmed that with her as well the driver before we started. However, when we returned to pick up the luggage, the driver mentioned that he received a call from his supervisor and that airport drop would be extra 600/-. Now, this may be a trivial amount, but change of deal in the middle of a journey was not acceptable, as it created a sense of bait and switch, and ended up in heated discussion. I am not sure to what extent Pratap Homestay is responsible for this fiasco, and the travel agency should probably be attributed the most blame. But Pratap Homestay was the mediator in this deal. We learnt the terms of the deal through Deepti, when we signed up for it, without talking to the travel agency directly. So, we will hold Pratap Homestay responsible for not clearly stating the terms of the deal before the engine started. In this regard, I'll suggest passing the contact of the travel agent directly to the customer and letting them make the deal directly.…
Himanshu and Deepti have a beautiful home filled with all the amenities you could need. They are excellent company and assisted us in planning every step of our journey in Jaipur. Himanshu's home cooked dinners are amongst the best dishes we've had in India and I cannot overstate how welcome they were after our long days sightseeing. If you're staying in Jaipur, you would be remissed to pass on this fantastic homestay and it's wonderful hosts.
