Devi Niketan is a family owned and operated Heritage Hotel in central Jaipur which was inaugurated on April 2008. It stands on a big plot with large, lush green lawns in front and rear of the building, a large parking area and a swimming pool. A double storied heritage house, it is part of the 140 acre estate of the former ruling family of Chomu. Adjacent to Devi Niketan is "Govind Niwas", the residence of Admiral Madhvendra Singh and his wife Kumu, who own and run "Devi Niketan". Govind Niwas too stands on a big plot with plenty of greenery. Taken together the two properties stand on a two acre estate which gives a feeling of space and tranquility - even though it is surrounded by a bustling city. It is in a "Happening" neighbourhood with plenty of eating places, Ayurvedic massage parlours, shopping malls with food courts and movie theaters, banks & ATMs, gyms - all within one kilometer. While we do not have an a la Carte Restaurant, a Buffet Breakfast is available and Dinner is served if ordered.

My wife and I visit Jaipur quite often and always stay at Devi Niketan. We love it's old world charm. It's very comfortable and clean. And the Admiral, who is very friendly and hospitable, keeps it ship shape !! The memorabilia on display is fantastic.

Devi Niketan is a very comfortable and nicely maintained Heritage hotel. Its location in the city centre makes it easy to access all the tourists sites. If you are looking for a quiet stay - this is the place. An opportunity to meet Admiral Madhevendra Singh and have a conversation with him is a huge added bonus.

A 1934 heritage property beautifully converted into a cosy and comfortable Heritage hotel with the looks of a palace and feel factor of home. The property is spacious with two lawns, a swimming pool, and an exclusive parking. A very warm and friendly team to look after the guests makes you feel like an extended part of the family. The property is owned by Admiral Madhvendra Singh (Retd), who is a perfect host and interacts with all the guests personally adding warmth to your overall experience. A highly recommended place to stay at Jaipur, which while being centrally located yet away from the noisy humdrum of the city, is a perfect getaway to relax and recuperate.

We stayed for 3 nights during our recent visit to Jaipur. It is a quiet homely place in an old remodeled building in the heart of Jaipur. We had a lot of great discussions with the Admiral (the owner), who is a kindly retired man. The hotel is converted from his traditional ancestorial estate with many old pictures and medals on display. The Admiral told of several stories from his past as well as advised us on our stay. The food was great. The room very clean and comfortable. Adjacent to our room was a large lounge area that was perfect for relaxing and having a drink with others. I highly recommend this hotel!

Me and my friend had an wonderful time at devi niketan in the end of November. The rooms where really clean spacious and had a homely feeling to it. The owner, the Admiral was really nice and helpful with everything. The staff at the heritage hotel were also nice and helpful and made our stay really pleasant. Was nice to come back to a clean room after a day out sightseeing. Waking up to good homemade breakfast, either continental with eggs and toasts or good Indian breakfast, was lovely with the nice garden view each morning. The location is good and close to good restaurants and the pink city. Would highly recommend to stay at this place while visiting Jaipur 😊
