Devi Niketan is a family owned and operated Heritage Hotel in central Jaipur which was inaugurated on April 2008. It stands on a big plot with large, lush green lawns in front and rear of the building, a large parking area and a swimming pool. A double storied heritage house, it is part of the 140 acre estate of the former ruling family of Chomu. Adjacent to Devi Niketan is "Govind Niwas", the residence of Admiral Madhvendra Singh and his wife Kumu, who own and run "Devi Niketan". Govind Niwas too stands on a big plot with plenty of greenery. Taken together the two properties stand on a two acre estate which gives a feeling of space and tranquility - even though it is surrounded by a bustling city. It is in a "Happening" neighbourhood with plenty of eating places, Ayurvedic massage parlours, shopping malls with food courts and movie theaters, banks & ATMs, gyms - all within one kilometer. While we do not have an a la Carte Restaurant, a Buffet Breakfast is available and Dinner is served if ordered.

A 1934 heritage property beautifully converted into a cosy and comfortable Heritage hotel with the looks of a palace and feel factor of home. The property is spacious with two lawns, a swimming pool, and an exclusive parking. A very warm and friendly team to look after the guests makes you feel like an extended part of the family. The property is owned by Admiral Madhvendra Singh (Retd), who is a perfect host and interacts with all the guests personally adding warmth to your overall experience. A highly recommended place to stay at Jaipur, which while being centrally located yet away from the noisy humdrum of the city, is a perfect getaway to relax and recuperate.

Devi Niketan is a family owned and operated Heritage Hotel in central Jaipur. A double storied heritage house, it is part of the 140 acre estate of the former ruling family of Chomu. The property has plenty of secure parking space with lush green lawns and a swimming pool, which gives a feeling of space and tranquility - even though it is surrounded by a bustling city there peace and quiet within the property . The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff very helpful and friendly. The hosts are always available for assistance and guidance.
Buffet breakfast is sumptuous with a wide variety to choose from, which includes, fruit, serial, eggs to order etc. There is no A la Carte Restaurant, but dinner can be catered for if ordered early.
It is in a "Happening" neighbourhood with plenty of eating places, Ayurvedic massage parlours, shopping malls with food courts and movie theaters, banks & ATMs, gyms - all within one kilometer. Several sight seeing spots are also reasonably close
Our stay was very comfortable, Devi Niketan is like a home away from home as the common areas have a lot of the family Memorabilia and History.
Recommended for couples, families or even Reunions.

Devi Niketan is a very comfortable and nicely maintained Heritage hotel. Its location in the city centre makes it easy to access all the tourists sites. If you are looking for a quiet stay - this is the place. An opportunity to meet Admiral Madhevendra Singh and have a conversation with him is a huge added bonus.

We stayed at Devi Niketan Heritage Hotel for two nights. Admiral Madhavendra Singh was proactive during the entire process of booking as well as our reaching there. He made us feel at home. We'd a good time talking with him.

The Hotel is a converted mansion. All around we could see photographs from the olden days as well as mementos from Admiral Singh's service years. The two gardens, in the front & the back of the building, were the happy running grounds for our dog. The highlight, of course, was the fluttering of almost a dozen national flags on the roof.

Our rooms were comfortable; all basic amenities were provided for. The WiFi worked well too. The service was warm. Both the staff members were always attentive & ensured we'd a comfortable stay as well as tasty food.

We recommend Devi Niketan Heritage.

My wife and I stayed in this beautiful heritage hotel , Devi Niketan from 07 Dec2021 to 11 Dec 2021. Very rarely you get to enjoy hospitality so royal with personal touch from Admiral Madhvendra Singh & his stately wife. The food was superb, personally crafted & supervised by the owners. Quiet little place in heart of the town with all the facilities offa five star hotel. one could go at an easy pace and the staff willingly went along to ensure that our needs were met and more. There is royal touch with the kind of history that the place and the family has. My wife and I were overjoyed to have a photograph taken in typical Rajasthani Turban. I adorned the Panchranga turban , which was originally Admirals family colours I believe. A beautiful bon Fire dinner was organised with all the strappings of comfort. I would stay in Devi Niketan in all my future trips to Jaipur. A big than you to the Admiral and his staff for making our stay a memorable one

We stayed there in the middle of the third wave of the pandemic. The hotel was very clean and the safety matters taken towards the pandemic situation was impressive! The staff was very courteous & eager to help at anytime.
The delicious authentic food they served at this place was mouth watering! I wished I could learn how to make them.
The hotel is situated close to tourist attraction, whether it were for sight seeing or shopping!
This hotel is affordable, clean & comfortable. There is a huge pool to cool down after a long sight seeing day. There is also a beautiful lawn to relax and unwind where ever you feel like it!
We enjoyed our stay thoroughly!! I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to visit Jaipur!

We spent three days early Dec21 at Devi Niketan. I feel it was a heaven sent period. Though sceptical initially, as to how things would be, I was at home from the first moment itself.
The warm traditional welcome was the start to "a home coming " stay.
The rooms were clean, cosy with all amenities gave warm and efficient feeling. Just right --- not a hotel feeling at all.
The service, very personalised and unobtrusive .
The stay was hectic and we loved coming back to rest and rewind. The food was great with all the delicate Rajasthani cuisine at call.
In all a place were one can relax, enjoy and feel like coming back again. Not to mention the gracious hosts, always there to help you feel "just right ".
Thanks a ton for a great stay.

As always, Devi Niketan is my choice for stay in Jaipur whenever I have to go on a Business trip and to visit friends. Each suite has it's own individual traditional decor and charm.True and best value for money. Centrally located with close access to all places of tourist and shopping interests. Spacious front and rear lawns, swimming pool, croquet etc. Extremely hospitable staff and personalised valet service. Wi-Fi connection. And very important for me, Devi Niketan is Pet Friendly.... so I get to stay in Room No 3 or 4, both of which have a direct access to the lawn as well. No place like Devi Niketan.... My sincere recommendation to all!!

We were on a family trip. I'll list down the pros and cons.

Pros:
Great location.
Admiral is very particular about things.
In his absence Mr. Vikram Singh was very helpful. A big thank you to you.
The travel options provided is really too good.
On the day of local sightseeing, I asked for arrangement of a guide. They arranged for Manoj, I really believe he is the best. He took us some really good photos. Also he was considerate to understand that we are travelling with kid, who need to be attended to quiet often. Thanks man.
Rooms are quite big. Non-indians should opt for this hotel due to it's unique heritage room styles.
24 hour availability of hot and cold water.

Cons (or may be suggestions):
The staff needs to be more attentive and more so professional.
Lack of any restaurant facilty (may be the only reason which made be rate it as a 3, instead of 4). The snack items provided on the menu not always available.

Info:
Please try Kanha restaurant nearby. Really good.
