The stay at hotel was wonderful staff was extremely helpful , humble Breakfast was perfect The reception attended us very nicely and accomodated the schedule as per our needs Location is very nice ,Rooms were quite spacious Next time when ever I get a chance to visit mumbai I would love to stay at Ascot
I would like to compliment the receptionist at the hotel who was extremely friendly and helpful - a young gentleman, warmly welcomed me into the lobby of the hotel and obliged my request to use the hotel washroom - during the pandemic, this basic necessity has become such a difficulty when out in the city. I was not put up at this particular hotel, as I am a local in the city, but I will not forget this kind gesture from the Ascot Hotel, and as I work in the hospitality industry myself, I will certainly spread the word. Thank you! (Date visited: 26/07/21, time visited: 12:30pm)
We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at the Ascot hotel. It was very clean and tidy, as well as the rooms being very spacious. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. We enjoyed our breakfast and were looked after very well. We would love to visit again. The Tata-Coopers.
Spent a week at this lovely, well-maintained hotel - our room was spacious, light filled & spotless. Roomy bath as well. Breakfast was ample. Location is perfect - and there are a lot of restaurants and cafes in the area. But it really was the staff that made the trip special - manager Shashank, at the reception Glen, and the amiable, courteous Jackson. We also had a brief encounter with the owner Mr. Mehra (who owns other properties) - he actually came by during breakfast to greet us at our table to inquire if our stay was going well. Genteel, polished and delightfully gracious, we got into a conversation where he regaled us with stories from the British Raj related to the Ascot, and how his family took over the hotel in the last century. Mumbai is one heck of a city to discover if you look beneath its skin, it's just that the heat and traffic can get to you after a few days. it was nice to come to smiling faces and a comfortable bed at the Ascot after a day out in the city!…
Thank a lot Jackson for your warm welcome ! I stayed 4 nights in Ascot hotel with my husband and my 2 girls (12 and 14 years old). I had difficulty to find a room for 4 people in Mumbai and when I contacted Ascot hotel, they proposed me to add 2 beds in a big double room so that we can be together. That was very comfortable ! The room was clean and the beds perfect after a hot day walking around. The hotel is well situated. We can reach several nice and important places to visit like India gate, museums, boat to access Elefant Island, the bazar. There are also very good restaurants around (no need to take taxi to go for diner). The breakfast is simple but efficient (thé, coffee, fruit and bread) until 11am which we appreciated (difficult to wake up early due to the jet lag !). On top, thank to Jackson, we were able to take a shower in an empty room before our night train to Bijapur ! All the family really appreciated it after a busy day visiting Mumbai 😉 So I think it’s clear I would definitely recommend Ascot hotel, a calm area well situated in a so crowded and noisy city of Mumbai. Kind regards, Delphine …
